B’antiox Guesthouse

Fantastic stay here at B’antiox. I stayed for 2 nights and really felt at home. Paulina, Silvia and Brian were so lovely and really inclusive…especially towards a young solo female traveller like me.

The food was great (and reasonably priced), the family-style mealtimes were really fun and the treehouse itself was fantastic! The shower was massive and it really did feel that I was showering and sleeping in the jungle - but in a luxurious, super comfortable way! Views are awesome.

I did the chocolate class as organised through B’antiox and this was seriously the best experience of my whole trip - visiting a local family to make chocolate from scratch in their outside kitchen was an unforgettable experience. Really eye-opening and inspirational.

Whilst B’antiox is more expensive than other options in the area, it’s high quality and the hosts’ kindness is unmatched. Couldn’t recommend more! I will be returning here one day.

We had such a lovely stay at the guest house. Paulina Silvia and Brian were terrific hosts. They introduced us us to several members of the community allowing us to learn a little bit about the local culture. They are a truly warm and caring bunch. The food was utterly delicious. The rooms were comfortable and designed to enjoy the amazing natural setting. Speaking of which, the property is incredible. The diversity of plants that can be seen is mind boggling. Once there you can settle in and enjoy the environment. The park is only a very short walk so we were able to spend every day of our visit enjoying the splendour that is Semuc Champey!

Great place! Amazing to first sleep in a tree house and than relax all day in basins and inder the waterfalls of Samuc Champey.

I recently had the opportunity to stay in the cabins at B’Antiox, which are only a few hundred meters from Semuc. These solar powered cabins were surrounded by total nature, which included lots of exotic plants and animals. The owners of this property, Brain and Sylvia, work very hard to maintain a clean and well kept place to stay, as well as protecting the many endangered species on property. During your stay, Brain will be quick to give you a free educational tour of the outdoors. This was an amazing experience and I recommend it for anyone looking for their next great adventure.

B'antiox is an incredible place at the heart of Semuc Champey. It is an amazing, clean and safe tree house, located only a 4 min walk from the entrance of the park. Brian and Sylivia are the perfect hosts with a wealth of knowledge and big open hearts. They will help with the logistics and all the information you need to make your stay comfortable and ensure you have a wonderful experience. Paulina, is an incredible cook and you will never go hungry with the dinners and the lunches. This has to be the most wonderful, cleanest, safest place to stay if you are visiting Semuc Champey

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Very close to Semuc Champey, a magical place. Paulina,my host, is just great and she cooks delicious food from breakfast to dinner. I highly recommend this place.

This guesthouse is in a beautiful setting in central Guatemala. Open air and surrounded by nature, it fits right in with it’s area. Sylvia and Brian were great hosts and made fantastic gourmet food for us.
About 300 meters from the entrance to Semuc/Champey Natural Area and has natural wonders of it’s own. Many types of fruit and spice trees, parrots and other wildlife.
It is not an easy location to get to, but well worth it for an adventure you won’t soon forget.

Everyone is so friendly and nice. The room was clean and had a great view. The shower was nice and hot. The food was delicious.

Incredible gem right next to Semuc National park! Brian and his lovely wife Sylvia are just the nicest persons ever, you feel welcome and home from the moment you step onto their porch. Amazing place right in the jungle, at the moment two perfectly cosy treehouses with everything you can ask for in the jungle, from an super-comfty bed to the best view over the jungle ever! Cacao- and coffee-tours are available, the food is splendid and the premises of their property counts gazillions of exotic trees, flowers, fruits and the best stories of the ancient maya-sites Around Brian can tell u about. We stayed for two nights (only) but loved it every second! Thank you Brian and Sylvia for this amazing experience!!! T&O

Loved staying here. Its only 100m from the park entrance and Brian and Silvia were amazing hosts.
The cabin was beautiful and clean and it felt like a home from home.
Easily one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed.

Hospitable Dinning room--is the focal point to meet new friends. Brian and Silvia are masters at creating an environment for you to enjoy new guests.  They also introduce you to their friends in the community to enable you to get a flavor of the local culture.

Tasty Food Dishes from around the world--Brain is an excellent chief and enjoys preparing suprising tasty dishes that will please you Palate.

The Property-- is filled with fruit, spice, flower, pine and deciduous trees.  A nature walk can be arranged for you to learn about different local trees.

In addition to all this they are located 300 meter from Semuc Champey where you can enjoy the azure green water and scenic area.

B'antiox is truly a unique experience.  I will be back.

B'antiox is located on the most beautiful property near Semuc Champey. When staying there you are surrounded by peace and quiet along with the beautiful sounds of nature. It is a short walk to the park of Semuc Champey. The hosts of these rooms are extremely hospitable and want to help you have the most amazing experience. There food is also top notch. A must stay if visiting the area.

Beautiful hotel / sanctuary with multiple endangered species as well cocoa plants, pineapples etc. Owner Brian gave me a tour of the property even though I was not staying there due to the airbnb being fully booked out.Well kept and peaceful property, highly recommend!

At this BnB guests are greeted by Silvia, the sweetest and most genuine person that you will ever meet. This resort is only a few hundred meters from the gorgeous Semuc Champey pools. These guesthouses are surrounded by a beautiful natural setting with Brian lending his expert knowledge of the exotic plants and animals of the area. The music of the jungle puts you to sleep at night in prestine accommodations and the sun rises and light cascades through the large patio windows. Food is generously provided by an in-house chef and power is available by solar energy in each cabin. Well worth the adventure!! Thank you

Brian and Sylvia have made this tiny piece of heaven in the jungle absolutely beautiful and amazing. They have created safe, secure treehouses which are in the middle of the jungle with all the views and sounds, without any concern of critters getting in.
The food is delicious, the water is hot, the beds are comfy, and the hosts are wonderful!
Sylvia is the lovliest human you will ever meet and Brian can take you on a tour of the jungle on the property with knowledge of local plants and animals.

The best stay we had in Guatemala! Brian, Sylvia and Paulina are the kindest people, who make a great (and funny) team. The room is clean and although you sleep with jungle around you, its well isolated for bugs and critters with a great matrass. The mountain (picture added is the view!!) and the nightsky around the room are beautifull and Brian can tell you all about it, Paulina is a great chef and a fantastic woman, and has a big network around Lanquin and Semuc for rides or activities. Sylvia is very smart and sweet and makes you feel very welcome. Do we need to go on? Don’t miss out on this wonder 10 min walking from Semuc!!

I spent 3 nights at B’antiox Guesthouse and was VERY impressed. I arrived in the early afternoon and was greeted by Paulina, the Polish woman, and she was super kind, welcoming, and intelligent. She even helped me bring my motorcycle up the stairs. She cooks excellently too and speaks so highly of the guesthouse and the owners, Brian and Silvia. The owners were outstanding in their hospitality and I felt that they welcomed me as family and all of them took time to explain the history etc of Semuc Champey. They are intimately connected with the local Indigenous community and help the local people a lot. Domingo and Enrique the Indigenous employees are very kind, honest and cooperative. My tree house room was clean, comfortable and safe in the middle of a tropical jungle. I HiGHLY recommend B’antiox Guesthouse and it is ideal for those who want a quiet, local, and jungle experience without those other hostels blaring music and full of drunks! B’antiox Guesthouse Is for the person or family or group who wants an authentic jungle experience in a safe and clean environment!

The best place in Semuc Champey.....the whole experience was heavenly.....the views, the atmosphere, the fruits... it is so close to the ponds....actually walking distance....everything was awesome....I recommend this place to anyone who visits Semuc Champey in Lankin, Guatemala....thank you Silvia and Brian.
