Karang Taraje Beach

A tremendeous sunrise seeing, with its corals and vulcanic stone surrounding, Taraje is Sundanese words which means Stairs or tangga in Indonesian language, you will need to climb this stair to get the exotic view.. need local ojeg to get there and the track was quite extreem. Great things valued after.

These photos taken in the morning, you will see a great waves coming direct into this beach. Gratefully there's a rock or beach's crag that holding the waves an creates an amazing view in this beach~

Amazing rock formations where waves crash over and cause a waterfall effect over the rocks but only during high tide and large swells. It's a must visit imo. Be aware: The small road to get here will only accommodate a motobike and is long, narrow, and winding.

Karang Taraje is the next destination I visited when I went to Sawarna Village. To get to Karang Taraje, from the main road, it's still pretty far and only motorcycle can pass by. So, it's highly recommended to either bring your own motorcycle, take a motorcycle taxi, or just rent one.

To enjoy the beauty of Karang Taraje, visitor needs to pay IDR 5000 per person. But, because I visited during weekdays and no one attended the entrance, I didn't pay for it.

Karang Taraje beach are adorned with cliffs, coral reefs, and huge rock formations. There is a very large reef, requiring a ladder to climb it. From the top of the reef we can see the edge of the reefs that were constantly hit by the waves, and if you come close enough you'll also get splashed. The big rock formation is also decent-looking, and there's always some men who enjoy their time fishing. If you like fishing, you might consider to bring your own equipment.

If you visit Sawarna, this one is also the one not to miss.

The waves are strong here and along side sawarna beach..so hard to get this place we must riding by motorcycle or hiking through the hill but the scenery during walking is very beautiful.to hard to get this place but wroth it when you arrived here waw...amazing

great scenery, should come in 2 times : nearly 2 PM when the tidal wave comes and 7 AM. Because you can't go up to the reef when the tidal wave comes, it's too dangerous. But you can see the 'waterfalls effect' better when the tidal wave comes

Best place at Sawarna Beach to feel and smell the sea wind when ocean clear water reflect the sunlight. never bored twice go here.

A wide overlaying cliff created lagoon and crashing waves, while it also creates house of many kinds of crabs under, a beautiful scenery during sunset is one of the reasons why people come here.

This mount of rock can give a waterfall effect come from the wave, but this effect can only be seen in the morning when the wave come to the sea. We come here at noon so we can't sea the waterfall from the sea, but we can climb this rocky hill to its top and sea the great wave of southern beach in this area 😍

Some of the strongest waves I’ve seen from this side of Indonesia, place is kinda hard to get to but certainly worth trouble! Be safe getting here as the rough terrain is dangerous, getting someone local to ride you there is a good option unless you’re a fearless bike rider and ready for an adventure 😎

Good spot enjoying beach

Although we must walk a few kilometers or ride a motorcycle from parking lot, it is worthed, since the scenery to karang teraje is gorgeous. We walk through river hanging bridge, village, paddies field and sandy beach

Very good sensation when the wave hit "wall" coral reef. Marvelous.
It is easy way from pelabuhan ratu, need careful when driving from main road to location
