Kali Biru (Blue River) - Raja Ampat

An exceptional way to experience the Papuan jungle and bird life! The walk along the river is unreal – you will need a local guide and a boat to reach it, but their sacred blue stream is absolutely worth it. Just be respectful of the locals and enjoy!

Go early in the morning before the other tourists come. Then the river is yours. You can see the bird of paradise here, the ambience is so relaxing. The water of Kali Biru was so pure and refreshing.

If you want a break from all the warm water this is a refreshing spot to go to. You'll need to take a taxi, boat ride and hike through a river before getting to a short trail. But it's a beautiful spot to spend a day.

Kalibiru must be put on last trip after island hoping for a few days in raja ampat. It took 45 minutes by speedy boat to the nearest village and moved to a small boat in 15 minutes. But the 15 minutes was absolutely stunning, green hills, blue sky with fresh air, then you will bring to a jungle with a small river. Rangkong birds will welcome you with its shouting voice and seeing their flying beautifully on your head on the peak of big trees. Then you will end up in the stream, you need to walk in 15 minutes, a guide is absolutely needed. You will get an entrance gate, a small path will bring you the jungle. And this is your last paradise on earth that you must see. The original view is stunning than on lens capture. Take off your suits and shoes, and ready to jump in the river from the deck. The water is cold and fresh, you can swim in the blue River for hours. Do not trash on it, make it clean as always. You will never forget your trip, the best moment I ever had during pandemic was here, Kali Biru or Blue River. It's absolutely magic.

Magical place, love it! Be aware that you have to do a little bit of trekking and shallow river crossing to get here. And it's slippery too here. However, the ambience and swimming experience is 11 out of 10!

Went here during low season, you need a boat to get there and a local guide. It helps if you go with some others so you can split all the costs among each other. But the Blue River is beautiful and was definitely worth it and really refreshing.

Please remember to put on sandals or flip flops, because the only way to get there is through water, mud and stones.

Easy trekking about 15 minutes. You need to cross a river to get there. The current was a bit strong.

Easy Trekking around 5min. Beautifull blue lake from nature spring water. The water was nice, clear and refreshing 🥰
