Wai Resort - Raja Ampat

We had an amazing stay at the resort. One of the best places to relax with ecstatic vibe, great food and wonderful view. All staff were absolutely friendly and welcoming the whole time we were there. The resort very private is located at small island with beautiful scenery and spectacular beach with various sea creatures. And the diving staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had unforgettable stay. Will definitely visit again.

The team that run the resort was fantastic. They were detailed and careful with our needs. The rooms were rustic and homely. The food was great. The dive team was brilliant. We have two novice divers in our family and they took such good care of them. :) I would recommend this place any time.

Exceptional place. This is the only resort on the island. Around there's some uncommon animals and beautiful birds. Water is so blue, just below the jetty, many many little black tip sharks, Great snorkeling also near bangalows. Rooms are great and food too.
Just the boats are a bit small for the agitated sea.

Wai is a wonderful resort, my husband and I stayed there for a few nights in Raja Ampat and it really checked everything on our list. First off the island is private and looks like a screensaver of the most beautiful beach. The island is pretty remote so the surrounding nature feels untouched: insane white sand beach with a snorkelable reef, beautiful coral and shells, crystal clear waters, colorful fish, mini black tip reef shark, mini Komodo dragons. The staff is amazing the accommodahtions are well kept - the bungalows are lovely and made with beautiful local craftsmanship. Staying there feels like you are living with the island. One thing that we were blown away by was the food, the meals were so good!!! Especially for the remoteness it is amazing what the chef creates. The staff is great, there is very much a personal feeling when staying at Wai, the town nearby mainly staffs the resort which is nice to see your money going back to the local economy. Additionally even though you are remote daily scuba trips are possible - we did a day trip with the resort to piaynemo, which included two dives to Melissa’s garden and Fam’s slope - the best dives of our lives. We will definitely be coming back as it was a very comfortable and special experience.

amazing resort with really friendly staff and guests. everyone was very welcoming and nice. the food is superrrr good and the bungalows r great literally right on the beach. the excursions r also really nice as the places we went to r those famous ones and we saw mantas and dolphins at some. thw water is also sooo gorgeous its an amazing turquoise blue and the corals are wonderful. there is also a forest at the back of the island where you can walk and see the local animals such as the cuscus and the massive coconut crab.

What a picture perfect island getaway - crystal clear, shallow turquoise water, white sandy beach all around the island and beautifully crafted bungalows.
We enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon on Wai island. Despite being on a small island everything is of high standard from the food to service to accommodation.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served a la carte with different options to chose from every day. We were impressed with the quality and variety ranging from Italian cuisine to fresh seafood and Indonesian.
The staff was just lovely, everybody is so nice and attentive.
The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the big day bed in front overlooking the sea.
Definitely recommended! We'd love to come back

The resort is exceprional, it is a private island.
Clean room, good food, lots of snorkling and diving site around the private island and good manage of snorkling, diving and scenery tour.

Loved it! This place is amazing! I wish I could stay longer! Beautiful Coral reef, lovely clean bungalows. Host are super friendly and want to help you with any questions or tips to do in the area. They rent out bicycles which we used to go to such nice beaches and viewing points. I highly recommend staying here.

Definitely the best place for seeing the sunset, staff is very friendly, their costumer service is exceptional.

Probably one of the best island resorts I’ve been to. The Coral reef was very beautiful and there are black tip reef sharks just chilling underneath the docks very cool.

Beautiful, fun, great food and super special diving. We spent a week over new year and it was great. We made friends with everyone from staff, owner and other guests and had such great shared experiences. The staff are attentive and know dive spots other operators don’t, on top of that the house reefs are great. Sharks in the lagoon, coconut crabs and cuscus make for a special experience. The bed was comfy and the design of the traditional Papuan villas is so clever. The staff work very hard to keep the beaches clean but there was a lot of rubbish in the ocean that was brought in by wind and currents when we were there. The chef is attentive taking care of everyone and his Italian cooking and crab dishes were delicious. Thank you all - 🙏

In front of the Cottage there is immediately the coral reef with lots of fishes and tourtles. We hope one day to be able to return and spend more time on the island.

The resort is situated on a secluded island and is only accessible by boat. The journey to the island was an adventure in itself, as we could see the incredible marine life surrounding it.

One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible diving opportunities. The resort is known for its fantastic dive sites, and we were not disappointed. The crystal clear waters and diverse marine life made for some of the most memorable dives of our lives. We saw everything from colourful coral reefs to schools of tropical fish, octopi, pigmy sea horses and sharks.

Another highlight of our stay was the food. The resort's restaurant serves a delicious blend of local and international cuisine made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes and the traditional Indonesian fare. The staff were also very accommodating to our dietary needs.

The resort also offers a range of activities for guests to enjoy, from snorkelling and kayaking. We really enjoyed the guided night hike through the lush jungle to check out the coconut grabs and infamous Cuscus.

What made our honeymoon even more special was the special arrangements made by the resort for our anniversary. They set our dinner on the viewing deck for a sunset dinner. It was indeed a romantic and unforgettable experience.

Overall, our stay at the eco-resort in Indonesia was an absolute blast. Combining breathtaking natural beauty, world-class diving, delicious food, and friendly staff made for a truly unforgettable honeymoon. We recommend this resort to anyone looking for a unique and sustainable vacation experience.

This is by far the most beautiful Island I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve travelled all around Indonesia for many years.
My partner and I spent one week there. We are a gay couple, we love intimacy and quietness. I have to admit it is not always easy to find a place where you feel 100% welcome. We could have stayed there for months. We felt not only welcome but like at home!
The views, the sunsets, the water and its corals. The beach is so clean, the stars at night… OMG!
The bungalow was so cozy. Beds ultra comfortable and clean.

Wonderful place! Rustic and natural bungalows, with great service.

Wai Resort was able to provide a very pleasant experience in Raja Ampat. Service was great as they are able to provide the necessities for snorkelling/diving and knew all the beautiful places to do those activities. The bungalows themselves were very natural, eco-friendly & clean. Viees from the bungalows are amazing, but it's even better from the sunset deck.

Best snorkel of my life. Great hospitality. Great food. Bungalow are very cozy. I’m really enjoy my time in this beautiful island.
