Fantastic stay!
The communal dinner table created the perfect setting to have nice conversations with the other guests.
The food was delicious, evidence of the great cuisine culture of the hosts.
The hosts themselves considered all the requirements of the guests, and we had a very nice and insightful chat after dinner.
To top everything, we concluded the night with a fantastic northern lights show (again, tipped by the hosts).
Breakfast was amazing with many local products!

Such a perfect little stop along the ring road during our road trip through Iceland. The owner greeted us right away and accommodated us for dinner last minute. He was also very mindful of my gluten allergy. The dinner was fresh (literally caught from the bay right aside), DELICIOUS and we enjoyed the communal dinner table meeting others around the world who were traveling Iceland. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed it while looking out the giant picture window out to the sea. The room was quiet and very clean. The shower did have a problem with the seal so water did get everywhere in the bathroom. It didn't bother us too much though! This is a great value and we loved staying here. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you are in the area!

Thank you for a perfect unexpected stay. We were so glad to find you after the day we had with awful road conditions, accident and all. We had a great evening with amazing other guests. The food, drinks and breakfast were delicious. Thank you so much for adapting the meal to my intolerance, I really appreciated it. The view is beautiful. There was no wait for the (beautiful) bathrooms. Thanks, all of you, for being so welcoming.

Amazing food! The owners were very kind and everything was super cozy. It really felt like I was eating at home. The rooms were nice, confortable and simple. The dining room had an amazing view to the ocean.

We had an amazing time at the guesthouse. The house itself was newly renovated, clean and modern. It was easy to find and the view was spectacular.

The hosts were very kind, and the homemade dinner was delicious. I highly recommend dinner if you stay here. It was also a lot of fun to chat with the other guests and hear about their travels

Cozy, clean, family owned guesthouse. The place is really cute. Bathroom are spacious, even though are shared, are clean and one of them has a bathtub.
The place has washer and dryer, which is nice.
Breakfast was delicious, bread and jellies home made. Owners are very friendly.

Our favorite stay in Iceland. Warm, inviting, and surprising (in the best way). We loved our meal and are still in touch with the folks we met while dining. The hosts are incredible and our night spent here was our favorite night in Iceland.

Very nice couple who own the guesthouse. We had a 3 course dinner which was delicious and cooked by the owners. Breakfast was also very good. Our room was very big and comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very big and it worked out very well for everyone. Thank you so much!

Visited May 2022. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse was built in 1800s and refurbished - it has a beautifully designed interior. We had breakfast the next morning which was a wonderful spread with high quality ingredients. This was the best place we stayed in our entire trip to Iceland and can't recommend it enough!

Definitely one of our most memorable meals in Iceland, Inga and Gisli are very talented cooks and amazing hosts. They made sure everything about our stay went perfectly well. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Although we were only here for one night, the owner's were extremely welcoming, chatty and it was a lovely experience. The bathroom was one of the best of our entire 10 day trip! Breakfast was also very good.

Cozy rooms, amazing views, friendly cats in the village, breakfast and dinner were incredible really. Much care here. Northern Lights view - perfect.

Awesome guesthouse! We spent one night here in the "family room" (one double bed and one couch). The rooms were very recently renovated (the building itself is an old house from 1882).
* The room we had was spacious and very pleasant.
* Bed was very comfortable, although a bit small (probably queen size).
* There was a private balcony with beautiful views to the sea.
* Toilet and bathroom were excellent.
* Everything was clean.
* Hosts were very courteous and pleasant.
* Breakfast was decent. Nothing fancy, but diverse and good.
* Only minus - walls are a bit thin (probably becuase it's an old house). Our neighbors were quiet during the night/morning so we didn't mind that, but if you have noisy neighbors it might be a bit unpleasant.

Absolutely fantastic food. It was an "icelandic experience" in all senses. Take off your shoes and enter to this restaurant with beaitiful sights and a friendly staff...

We have been here for 2 nights ;double room with sharing bathroom.No problem with that.
Excellent breakfast and a stunning view at the ocean.We heard that sometimes you can even see whales.
Great round table were breakfast and dinner is served.Very communicative.
One evening I enjoyed dinner,a set 3course menue which was very 😋.

The room and food were exceptional. Not sure which was better. The room was modern but with a very icelandic feel and we had a wonderful sea view. Dinner was superbly cooked and the most wonderful part was sharing a table with fellow travellers - fun to hear and share stories (and tips). Town does not offer much but this is a great place to stop and refuel. Also were lucky enough to see whales playing the bay in front of our window.
