We initially had found TripCampers online and booked our rental (partial payment up front). Our meeting place was at a popular bus station in Reykjavik at our pre arranged time. He gave us a quick run down of how things worked, what to do, what to watch out for, etc.... Then we were on our own.
The camper was manual, so it took some time to get used to (drove manual before).
The camper was clean, had a stove, big pot and pan, pillow x2 ,utensils to cook with, cups, bowls, plates. linen, cooler, heater, we ordered an additional table x2 chairs(cold to eat outside during the end of oct, did not use it as much as we thought), 2 sleeping bags, x2 gas container and wifi. Curtains outlined the windows if needed for a day time nap. It was enough room for two people who don't mind being close. There was a separate heater in the back that lasted for a long time but by the time the morning came that battery died and it was cold.
We returned the camper back at our location choice in Reykjavik. We had no issues.We spent 8 days in the camper and we had the time of our life going around the ring road. The Road conditions were perfect for us.

Just spent two weeks with a TripCampers van and couldn't have been happier. The van was great, comfortable and very well equipped. I cannot recommend them enough.

When we had an issue with the van (beyond anyone's control), they were quick to solve the issue at hand! Excellent customer service!

Beyond the van, they were great for picking us up at the airport and dropping us off in the city. They offered us coffee while we waited which was great! All in all, very nice people, running a great company.

Good costumer service. The camper was in good shape and clean, as well as the furniture included. We choose tripcamper because we wanted a heater system and a bed that we could convert to a sofa, so we went with the ''2 seater confort VW caddy''. As the night was cold in april we were really happy to be able to sit and relax in the camper on evenings. Also the rental include a GPS and a phone, wich is can be really usefull. Our trip was amazing, thank you!

Our TripCampers experience was excellent. We were two travelers booking everything pretty last minute, so to be honest, we went with tripcampers simply because it was an automatic transmission and it was available for our travel dates. However, I’m so glad we rented through this company and would definitely rent from them again. I noticed a couple of reviews on here leaving low ratings with little to no context, so I wanted to leave a detailed review explaining our seamless experience and encourage people not to be scared off by one or two bad reviews.
We rented the two seater comfort automatic van, which is just big enough and has exactly what you need for your journey. The van has lots of hidden storage compartments that helped keep us organized. The bed is definitely juuust barely big enough for two people, but is pretty comfortable for a campervan bed! The linens were good, though the pillows were quite flat - also, we brought an extra blanket made for camping so that we wouldn’t need to run the heater, just personal preference. Can’t speak to the abilities of the heater since we never needed to use it. The fridge/cooler is spacious for a few days worth of groceries - at first we weren’t sure if it was actually working, but realized that it essentially keeps things just cold enough to be safe to eat - it’s not going to feel icy cold when you open it like a typical kitchen fridge would (which is totally fine)!
The cooking supplies were plentiful and worked perfectly as well. The gas camping stove was essential for our daily breakfasts, and we had plenty of dishes, a cutting board, dish soap and sponge, etc. We paid for an extra camp table and chairs so that we could have somewhere to cook at each campsite, and it worked out great.
The car itself ran perfectly smoothly and had great radio signal, cruise control, usb charging, and Bluetooth audio capabilities, and TripCampers even provided a 12V phone charger in the cigarette lighter for our use. So convenient!
The TripCampers staff was highly responsive over email. The office is located in a suburb of Reykjavik (easily accessible by public bus) but they also offered airport transfers for a reasonable fee (honestly cheaper than FlyBus, though we didn’t take them up on this just due to our timing). Upon check in, Voracek (not sure if I spelled this right) greeted us and was so friendly and helpful. He walked us through every feature one by one, did the entire inspection together, and offered us helpful tips for driving in Iceland. We also met with him when we returned the van, and had an equally pleasant experience with no surprise charges or issues. TripCampers was also flexible with us wanting to return our van earlier on our last day.
Overall, I found TripCampers to be an awesome service for campervan rental in Iceland. The price is right, the van was great and nothing luxurious but a great comfy car and great service. Highly recommend! Thanks for everything TripCampers!

We booked the cheapest model on TripCampers' offer for a 4-day road trip along the south coast. When we arrived to their shop we were amazed by a complimentary upgrade to a superior and spacier model that really impacted our level of comfort and freedom of movement throughout the whole trip! The camper van worked flawlessly and held out wonderfully on the iced asphalt roads. When we returned the vehicle to the shop, we even got a free lift to downtown Reykjavik. Absolutely recommended, don't waste a second and book with TripCampers asap!

Thank You Trip Campers! We had an amazing trip to Iceland, and we truly enjoyed our camper, Emile the Hiking Wonder. It was the perfect way to travel around Iceland. The camper gives you the flexibility to relax and enjoy the country without deadlines and commitments of hotels. The staff at Trip Campers were very polite and extremely helpful. It was also comforting to know that they are only a phone call away if needed. The camper was dropped off and picked up at our guest house in Reykjavik. They made everything easy and convenient. I would highly recommend this company to anyone traveling the ring road in Iceland. It's the way to go!

Very good experience with tripcampers. The camper (2 seater comfort) had everything we hired and we had a wonderful 10 days of adventure in Iceland. It´s clear that a van is not the most comfortable in the world but it is a very good option if you don´t want to spend a lot of money.

The behaviour of tripcampers´s workers deserves a separate chapter, they are excellent, very nice and help you as much as possible. They were very happy when we brought back the camper in a good condition :)

Some roads in Iceland are terrible and we were afraid to break something on the camper and being charged with a lot of money as other users wrote but everything was ok. We drove carefully and the camper was hard enough,

A camper car is the best way to get around in stormy Iceland, and with Tripcampers it was really easy and a lot of fun. We had everything we needed for a reasonable price, so what could you want more. Also the service with picking us up at the hostel for free was awesome :)

Tripcampers was a high point in my adventure in iceland. Best price in iceland! Not only the staff is (very) nice, but the campervan that I rented was just perfect.
Very comfy bed, great cooking set and it was a diesel van, which saved us a lot of money. Be sure to to rent a camping set and a blanket. It will be worthy.

We can't explain how much we miss our Two Seater Plus that we had named "The Bumperhead" because my girlfriend kept bumping her head against the ceiling while cooking. I run through every single camper van company in Iceland and they were the more complete one.
It had EVERYTHING we needed. We didn't even use the heating system because it was so well isolated and the duvets were all we needed (July 2016). The sink and refrigerator are a win win because you can stop anywhere in the road, cook, wash and keep on!
Also, their stuff is SO helpful that you will miss them too.
Maybe their vans are not as cute on the outside, but their way better and cheaper that any other company.
Iceland is an incredible country and TripCampers is the best choice.

Acabo de llegar de Islandia y ha sido una experiencia increíble y Tripcampers ha contribuido mucho a que fuera así. El trato y la camper han sido perfectos.
Nos recogieron en el aeropuerto para llevarnos a las oficinas junto casualmente con otras cuatro parejas de españoles. Es cierto que nos recogieron más tarde de lo acordado, pero tranquilo, en Islandia se toman las cosas con mucha calma.
Una vez en la oficina un chico muy simpático té explica todo de manera muy entendible y fácil. Primero te explica las normas básicas de conducir en Islandia, las carreteras, las condiciones climatológicas y otras muchas utilidades. Después te acompaña a comprobar la camper y a explicarte su funcionamiento. Firmas y todo listo.
La camper estaba genial. Era nueva y estaba en perfectas condiciones. Era una Ford Transit Connect. La camada es cómoda y tienes dos almohadas y edredones. La calefacción calienta bastante, apenas la utilizaba durante un rato a la hora de dormir. La nevera es perfecta. Tienes caldero, sarten y tetera así como platos vasos y cubiertos. El fregadero funciona perfectamente. Nuestra camper además consumía poco combustible, algo de agradecer. Pero lo más importante es que recorrimos más de 3 mil km con ella y se portó de maravilla. En especial por las carreteras de gravilla, las más complicadas de conducir.
A la hora de la entrega no tuvimos ningún problema. Nos preguntaron por nuestro viraje y nuestra experiencia. Revisaron el vehículo y nos agradecieron que la entregáramos limpia. En las gasolineras islandesas puedes lavar el coche gratis.
Sin duda recomiendo esta empresa. Es la mejor forma de recorrer Islandia. La calidad y precio de Tripcampers es de las mejores. El trato ha sido estupendo. Repetiría con ellos. Ha salido todo fantástico.

Totalmente recomendable! Nada más llegar nos dieron la buena noticia, nos hacían un upgrade por el mismo precio, nos dieron una camper mejor. Por lo que nuestro viaje empezó de la mejor manera posible.

Nos atendieron de forma muy amable desde el primer momento, igual que a la vuelta ya que contratamos el transporte al aeropuerto.

Viajamos durante 10 días con una camper para dos, con nevera, sillón que se hacia cama, camping gas y utensilios de cocina.

Muy importante coger el camping set y el conversor ( para cargar móviles y cámara).

¡La mejor manera de viajar por Islandia!

Satisfechos 100% con Tripcampers. La furgo genial, bien equipada e incluso agradablemente decorada por dentro. El personal es extremadamente amable, siempre deseando ayudar y majísimos; sólo tuvimos oportunidad de conocer a 2 de ellos y ambos eran encantadores y profesionales.

El servicio es inmejorable, están disponibles con una llamada de teléfono para atender cualquier duda, problema o sugerencia, siempre teniendo en cuenta el horario de oficina pero los 7 días de la semana.
Tuvimos un problema mecánico con el sistema de calefacción y nos lo arreglaron en 2 horas aprovechando que estábamos por Reykjavik, compensándonos después con una extensión similar en el horario de entrega el último dia.

La recogida y devolución de la furgo la hacen donde mejor te venga dentro del área metropolitana de Reykjavik, sin coste alguno, y el briefing que te dan es perfecto. La advertencia del viento nos salvó de algún problema!!

Lo recomendaría sin dudar, y lo elegiría de nuevo si volviera a alquilar una camper en Islandia.
