Hótel Flatey

Service was very good, the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean and nice, we got the room with an amazing view.
Showers and Wc are clean and well organised.
Dinner was so tasty with fair price.
Breakfast was included, medium quality.

We loved our stay at Hotel Flatey! They will greet you at the ferry to collect your luggage and then you can take a 10 min walk across the island to the hotel. It’s in an extremely beautiful and serene location, if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet environment - be sure to stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the meals were all delicious. If you have the time to stop at Flatey and spend the night here, I would highly recommend it!

A unique hotel in a unique environment! I recently stayed at this hotel for the first time and loved every minute of it. 😊👍😊

When you arrive at the island with the ferry, hotel staff is there to transport any luggage you may have, which my friend and I did. Then we walked to the hotel that is situated in what used to be the towns central square (in the old times) and arrived just in time for dinner.

The rooms and bathrooms (shared) are comfy and spic span clean and the service in general very friendly.

Our dinner was excellent and breakfast really nice ... although its presentation could be improved!

Hope to visit soon again and totally recommend the hotel and visiting the island of Flatey.

A very long way from the car park to the hotel, but we did get valet ship parking. The valet dropped us off at the wharf 1km from the hotel and we walked the rest. Great hotel. Great place. Although directly on the road the road noise was literally nothing.

Good lord I wish I could stay in this room for a year. The folks who run things are so kind and always helpful. And everything from the furnishings to the food to the way the hallway smells faintly of pine and candles (good candles) is just perfect. The beautifully functional simplicity of everything you touch has me in knots of childlike joy every time I turn the key or open the window.
I could happily stay here with a book and listen to the wind until the end of time.
To top it off for me, the sunset is right outside the door and that in itself was worth being here for.

Highly recommend hotel Flatey. Perfect stay! One of the hidden gems of Iceland. Good dinner & breakfast. Shower and bathroom are shared. Can't wait to come back

We did not stray here; we only had dinner, and it was excellent! Its lovely inside and full of sunlight in the summer. The staff was nice and professional. If you stop at Flatey island for a few hours, make sure to eat here.

Love everything about the hotel. Extremely good food, good and friendly service, great atmosphere, cozy rooms. We enjoyed our stay very much, would rather not leave :)

Wonderful little hotel on the remote Island of Flatley. Great small menu and good food. Service was exceptional.

Beautiful place, very nice service. Clean rooms. Delicious food in restaurant.

Pricey, as you'd expect in Iceland, but everything was fresh and delicious. A few revelatory flavors, as well!

We went to the restaurant and they had amazing food and really good service, the drinks are quite pricey but the food price was very reasonable.

What a beautiful place! Stay here if you want a charming B&B on an island far away from it all.

I got married just off the coast with the little orange lighthouse and it was everything I ever wanted.

Place was very authentic feeling. Great location. Would stay again.

Bodde ikke på hotellet. Men veldig god og hyggelig service. Anbefaler å bestille bord i god tid, vi fikk dessverre ikke bord til vår kveld. Prøvde å bestille samme dag og det er for sent. Takk "Flatey" for fantastisk opplevelse ❤
