We rented a camper for our trip around Iceland. After reading the reviews of a competitor, who likes to advertise with "affordable" temporary offers, we still chose McRent and never regretted it at any point. Interestingly, McRent wasn't even more expensive when adjusted for mileage and equipment. The vehicles were very modern and impeccably clean. The service was always quick, friendly, personal, and accommodating. When the engine warning light came on in the camper, McRent reacted immediately and provided a replacement vehicle as quickly as possible. The return process was very customer-oriented and obliging.
In summary, McRent enabled us an unforgettable and carefree road trip. A big thank you to the entire team for the excellent service and support during our journey through the impressive Iceland!

I am more than pleased with our rental experience driving the Ring Road in Iceland. These folks are pros and exceeded expectations: We were picked up from the airport= no issues. Ran through the paperwork = great explanations. Text and email notifications for high winds= was helpful information. Travel tips on our route = was really good to know. Drop off and return trip to airport = no delays. Our RV performed perfectly as well, even though we encountered steep hills and some bumpy roads. Finally, we were pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy. I am so pleased. We owe a big Thank You to Peter and staff.

We rented a Sunlight motorhome for 5 days at the end of October. It was very windy in Iceland ( 80-90 kmh ) and our flight was delayed for 9 hours. The staff was customer support oriented and keep our motorhome warm until we arrive ( 9PM ). We were able to sleep in the motorhome at McRent station and next morning we get all papers done. The staff was friendly and explained to us all the details about a motorhome.
We experienced an issue with the car batery and McRent was pretty supportive; a road assistance guy came in about an hour ( we were at Jokulsarlon Lagoon ) and fix it.
It was our first time experience with a motorhome, and was fabolous !

An unforgettable experience with McRent!
Myself and my partner hired a motorhome with McRent Iceland for 5 nights and travelled along the south coast to Diamond Beach stopping at various points along route. McRent staff were amazing from start to finish, from replying to query emails before we arrived in quick time to giving a very thorough familiarisation. When we finished our stay they were brilliant on hand over and there were no issues reported so within 30 minutes we were on our way! What’s even more great is we left a set of AirPods in the motorhome and only realised when we got back to the UK. I emailed McRent and their manager Mr Bachman immediately replied with a picture of the AirPods and delivered them safely home to us free of charge, maintaining great communication throughout !

McRent was exceptional! Three of us rented a Sunlight T67 for a nine day trip around the Ring Road in June 2023. The office was responsive and patient with my many pre-rental questions and (airline necessitated) changes in pickup time. The onsite overview of the motorhome was thorough without being unnecessarily long. The vehicle we got was almost brand new. It was intelligently/creatively designed and everything operated flawlessly. McRent sent broadcast messages during the week when the weather was going to be an issue or if a road was closed. The return process was as smooth and efficient as everything else. Truly one of the best vehicle rental experiences!

McRent is a first class Company with excellent staff and service!! We cannnot recommend them high enough! We will definitely be renting from them any time we come back to Iceland 🇮🇸. Hilmar and Angelicka were very informative, helpful, and thorough upon pick-up and delivery. They are very kind people, and it was such a pleasure doing business with them. Fantastic experience! We rented the sunlight cliff 640 for two weeks in March. Very good and friendly welcome by Peter. Very patient and everything well explained. Throughout the trip they stayed in close contact and were always available to resolve any questions quickly. On our return we were again very well received by Raphael! They even took us back to the airport. Excellent service. Highly recommended for everyone!

I can not recommend this company enough!! From start to finish they were amazing. They emailed me throughout the entire booking process to answer all my questions, picked us up from our hotel (we had a very late arrival the night before). When we were dumb and got the rv stuck in a ditch they had a tow truck to us within 20 minutes! The bed was actually really comfortable! My only “problem “ was the water didn’t stay hot long for showers but that’s not the company’s fault

We had an amazing experience with McRent Iceland! My husband and I rented a two-people Sunlignt Сliff640 and made a circle around the entire island. The motorhome has everything you need inside: all the kitchen utensils, toilet, shower, electric heater, even hanger in the bathroom to put your clothes to dry + very good mirror (omg, I want to have such at home!).

The sleeping space was very comfortable, with small reading lamps above your head. The sound system worked perfectly and we enjoyed good music while driving. We felt very safe and warm inside. The McRent staff was also very helpful, excellent service. Highly recommend them!

Great rental company! Campers are well organize, clean and equipped. Their service was perfect, sent us wind warning messages during the whole trip. Also pick up and drop off was seamless.

We are very happy with the professional services McRent Iceland team provided us. They explained all the details of the camper at the begin of our journey and kept us updated on the weather conditions the entire trip. They showed incredible flexibility and professional service when our flight was delayed for 3 hours and when our camper was showing signals on the dashboard. The best company for renting motorhomes. Very professional. They will send you several emails before you pick up your motorhome to make sure you are fully aware of things you might need. At the time of pick up, they spared no efforts in making sure I was fully oriented to the motorhome. The what's app service is amazing, I did not expect them to reply to my messages, but they did immediately.

Rental a 4-Pax motor home in Iceland from 6-16 Sep 2023. Besides the high rental costing which typically applies to the general Iceland’s high cost of living, we are totally satisfied from pick-up to returning the vehicle. The customer service is exceptional excellent and will highly recommend McRent.

We were on the road with one of their motor homes for 2 weeks, and the experience was great. The car was immaculate at pick up, and the customer service was very attentive, making sure you understand the vehicle and the ABC of driving in Iceland before you leave. We also had to contact the emergency number on a Sunday afternoon and received a reply within minutes, followed by real-live assistance until we were sure we were good to drive on. They might not be the cheapest and there were some minor things that we addressed with the team at return, but overall we are very happy and would rent again.

Great vehicle. Great instruction and service. And the return was equally great. We were nervous they would try to nickel-and-dime us for random damage, but that was not the case at all.

We have rented a Camper or RV for 5 days from McRent during our adventurous holiday in Iceland. I highly recommend this Camper Company when somebody wants to enjoy, do center around and do touring in Iceland. The Staffs were so helpful and friendly in a way providing the service at Mc Rent. We were welcomed by kindheartedness and free Coffee. Special thanks to Krzysztof Rudzik, one of the staffs there. He is deft and nimble in a way to give us instructions and detail explanation before we drove the RV. We also appreciate his patience in a way to help us out on the phone in the evening time.
