One of the most beautiful and imposing cathedrals I have ever seen. The architecture, scheme of colours, and the size of the Duomo is so impressive. The structure can be seen from several streets and vantage points around the city of Florence but when you are close-up, the building looks enormous.
It is a busy attraction all year round as the city attracts fairly good weather.

Highly recommended. Definitely worth visiting. Recommended to get the tickets in advance. Make sure you climb up the tower for best views of town. Museum have to be visited as well. Great architecture and history to enjoy. Shouldn't be missed out.

The Florence Cathedral is absolutely incredible! The first time I saw it, I was literally blown away by its beauty. The facade adorned with colorful marble, the intricate details of sculptures and reliefs, and of course, the iconic dome towering over the city's skyline, it's all just stunning. The interior is equally impressive, with its vast spaces, magnificent frescoes, and serene spiritual atmosphere. It's truly a must-see for anyone visiting Florence, and it's definitely worth the visit.

It’s unbelievably remarkable. If you are able to visit this place early in the day, please do so. We got there around 3pm and it was too late to get inside. There are many lines outside the building on each side of the building. Different lines for different entrance. Some part of the building for free and some are not.

Stay for a while until you can hear the bells rang. It’s a truly unique experience.

You should visit the dome and the tower! Although you have to book a time slot with the ticket and also have to wait in a long line, it deserves. The tower has a narrower staircase, so I recommend you visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Remarkable. You will be very thankful you went here. Many famous people are buried here in this church for you to respect. The art and details and craftsmanship that went into this is superb 👏 👌🏼 👍🏼 you should get your tickets online, which makes things very easy.

Very nice cathedral, the exterior is very beautiful and nicely lit up at night. Inside is okay, the ceiling is very nicely decorated and you can also get a ticket to visit the roof top and the museum as well. You can also check out the chapel, I enjoyed my time here and would recommend checking it out when in Florence.

Going to the top of the cathedral was an awesome experience. On the climb up you get a up close view of the painted ceiling which is amazing in itself. I wish they didn’t rush you through that part as I could have spent more than a few minutes staring at it. The view from the top though was amazing and on such and beautiful day it felt as if I could see the entire city. Definitely a must do experience if you are spending some time here. The outside of the cathedral as well deserves some time walking around or sitting at a restaurant to ensure you can really appreciate the art that it is.

I cannot even begin to explain how astonishing this cathedral is. It is mind blowing and it is also free to go inside. There is a souvenir shop downstairs that has a lot of neat gifts. Have to stop here if in Firenze. I don't know about most people, but I admire the architecture and the architects behind these beautiful strucutures. Another plus is that Brunelleschi is buried downstairs where the gift shop is at. He is the designer of this cathedral and several other buildings throughout Firenze.

Amazing masterpiece. Must see from all angels. I'm recommending buying tickets online way in advance, especially in high season. Don't forget to leave your backpacks in a luggage storage behind the cathedral. They are not allowed inside, and it's free with valid tickets. If you have a ticket, you don't have to stay in that huge queue to enter Cathedral. You enter from a side to enter Baptistery, and then you can stay inside the Cathedral and enjoy it as much as you want.

Just magnificent! Stunningly beautiful! Just go. It is advertised as free and you can enter the primary cathedral for free, but to climb the dome and other things like the museum is 30 euros per person and you get an assigned time slot so plan ahead. The view of the city is worth the climb so plan ahead.

This place is truely beautiful, and heavenly. The fact that it was completed at 1434 is just mind-blowing. Santa Maria del Fiore is one of the largest churches in the world. The external walls are covered in white, red and green marble with geometric figures and stylised flowers.
The bell tower, together with the huge dome is one of the most striking views of the town.
This place is equally beautiful also at late evenings. People gather around, play music, and everyone is just having the best time. Truly amazing place, heavenly vibe. If you are visiting Florence, this place is must. And don’t miss the evening vibes too.

Duomo is a must-see for anyone visiting Florence. It is a truly awe-inspiring building, and it is a testament to the skill and ingenuity of the Renaissance architects. The massive dome is simply breathtaking. It is hard to believe that it was built over 600 years ago.
The intricate carvings and sculptures on the exterior of the cathedral are amazing. There is so much detail to see, and it is all so beautifully done. The stained glass windows in the interior of the cathedral are also stunning. They cast a warm and inviting light on the space, and they create a truly magical atmosphere.
The overall design of the cathedral is simply awe-inspiring. It is a truly unique and innovative building that is unlike anything else I have ever seen.

The 400 steps were worth it! Warning, you cannot bring a back pack or a purse, but you can bring a Fanny pack.

The view was beautiful and breathe taking. While it was quite the trek (cue heavy breathing) getting up the stairs to see the view and roof of the church are moments that I will never forget.

Beautiful & filled with so much history. We were only able to visit from the outside, it was crowded as you'd expect, but worth the visit to see! It's truly remarkable.

Breathtaking, from the outside in, cathedral with architecture that simply blows your mind when considering when it was built. We did not go to the top of the some, small charge, a lot of steps.

Wow... Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore made an incredible impression on me. Florence, the capital of the Renaissance, has so much to offer, it will certainly be difficult to visit everything in a few days of your vacation, but the Duomo Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, the Baptistery and the museum are definitely a must-see.
Don't need to buy ticket, entry is free to Catedral, it is also worth coming early in the morning, then there are not such large crowds of tourists.

Amazing cathedral both inside and out. Fantastic marble exterior and wonderful and scary frescoes inside. Google up the history behind the clock and how they kept time in relation to the number of hours left in the day, and it still works.

Other than the long queue,( buy tickets in advance) this is one of the most impressive building s I have been in. Fantastic interior and the sights from the top over the city are out of this world. The steps up are not for the faint hearted, but you can stop about half way and still go around the outside and get a good view.
