You know, when you have a list to see many things in one day, and the first thing you do is go to Piazzale Michelangelo. Well... After that you don't have much strength to do the rest 😂
I enjoyed the walk, especially the view. Mesmerizing. I highly recommend it, but do it on the sunset. You won't regret it.

Great place to with beautiful of Florence and the surrounding mountains. A bit less manic than the main city centre where families and individuals can relax whilst enjoyed green space and the unrivalled views. And it's free!

The hill was amazing!! We went there close to the sunset, ordered Spritz, and sat on tge stairs to watch the beautiful sunset. The stairs are a bit crowded but you’ll always find a place to sit. An artist was performing while we visited, and he made the experience much better!! It was very romantic :) It took us around 20-25 minutes to go there from the city center by foot. Can recommend going there near sunset time.

Incredible views of Florence for free!

A must stop over at Piazzale Michelangelo for breath taking views of Florence and surroundings
The weather wasn't the best when I went there but still incredible panoramic views.

There are also little markets around if you wish to eat or buy souvenirs.

Not too far from the city center and would only take 15 minutes by car.

Absolutely the best place to take your date or spouse in all of Florence! The view of the sunset and the river is second to none! Get there early enough to secure a table. Get drinks from the vendors and bring a deck of cards. When the sunset arrives, prepare to hug and kiss! Stunning!

Nice night view spot. Didn’t make it to come before sunset but the night view is quite good too. It would be good to bring snacks, sit on the stair and enjoy the sunset. The stairs up was an easy walk.

For the best views of Florence, walk (or take the No 12 bus) up the hill. You won't find a better place to view the city. Take a map with you to help identify the different landmarks.

About a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Alternatively can be reached by a no.13 bus from the main station.
Stunning panoramic view across Florence, with several vendors and a restaurant to serve your needs.

It was so beautiful here!!! Panoramic views of Florence and beautiful gardens. One thing, make sure your ticket is bought before you go on the bus because those card scanners don’t work and they fined us 80€ AS we were purchasing the tickets via the app. Like 1 ticket was purchased and the other one we were checking out and they said too bad, you had to buy it before you got on. The bus ticket people were really mean in Florence, particularly this route, and really lovely everywhere else in Italy.

It is best to go by car. There is a large free parking area. It is the best spot to see Florence. There is a copy of the Michelangelo David on the place. The original statue is of white marble in the galleria del accadamia. On the drive you pass the most beautiful villas and gardens overlooking Florence. Great spot to take pictures.

Looking for the iconic Florence Skyline? Come here by sunset

You don’t even need a taxi or anything to get here! It was a beautiful easy 15 min walk from downtown Florence and we found plenty of space to get our pictures. Must say we were extremely lucky with the sunset that day.
Sun will rise from your right and completely out of frame on your picture if you try this at sunrise, so do yourself a favor and try by sunset.
There’s plenty of space and room for your selfies as well as spots for your more sophisticated captures. Also great atmosphere to hang out with friends. There’s a cafe net by but we didn’t try as we were just after the captures. Enjoy the views!

This is amazing excellent place to see scenic views of Florence!! The walk also walks off a few calories! Sun set is apparently really good from here.

There is a nice bar nearby and a very chilled atmosphere

There are several ways up but my preferred way is via the stairs from the fountain near the road level. The piazzale itself can be crowded and the view of Florence is a little distant. For a better view I would suggest stopping at the point where there are wooden handle bars and some stone edges to sit on! It’s not right at the highest point but more peaceful and makes for good photos.

Great spot ( very busy as well as is a tourist attraction) from which you can see whole Florence and main attractions as well.

Highly suggested to go for Sunset as the city lights up and create a magic effect.

Be aware of the walk uphill to get there by foot 🦶

It’s definitely worth a visit! You go up and gain some elevation and you can see the city from this amazing view point! There’s a replica of David in the middle of the square. There are also some souvenir stands and a stand where you can get snacks or water.
Highly recommend! The view is spectacular.

Absolutely gorgeous view of Florence especially at sunset but be sure to get there early because crowds form early on. Just a little bit of walk from town center but definitely worth it. This is the place where the original statue of David was but to protect it, it was moved to the museum it sits in now. A replica is in its place. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Upon first arrival in Florence, the best way to get acquainted with its beauty, is to see the face of Firenza. To an architect that would be the facades of the buildings that it's people built. To do that there really isn't a better place than Piazzale Michelangelo. It's about a 23 minute walk from the city center giving you an opportunity to see a few of its other must-see sites. The first of which is the Ponte Vecchio. This bridge-building is an iconic image many people think of when they think of Florence. Look up the sunrise or sunset times, build in 30 minutes and head across Ponte Vecchio then get along the river. Next following Googles guiding voice, up the trail through the gardens to the top. As you approach a grand stone staircase, if it is near a sunrise or set, you will need to walk to the far left as these stairs transform to stadium seating providing one of the better views. There are other spots at the top along a lengthy stone rail which can get very crowded.
Also, during the holidays there is a Christmas tree at the corner blocking one of the better views other than from the grand staircase. The sunrise will be to the slight right of the rail and the sunset behind you providing a great golden glow on the facades depending on the character and types of clouds present. Either way bringing your sweetheart or significant other is a great way to show them the romantic characteristics of Italy.
This is well worth the trek with many steps. Perhaps not as many as the trek to the Pagoda at the Mt. Fuji vista, but it feels like it. So be prepared for a climb.

I would recommend you to come at sunset to see one of the most beautiful views you could see. This place is really amazing, it is at the top of the hill, so be prepared to walk and put on your shoes, but the view is worth it if you are ever in Florence.

Great view of Firenze from above. Everythingat the palm of your hand. It is a bit of step climb, but very short. We went during lunch time, but also in the evening the sight is beautiful.

Came here in the morning on a weekday and it wasn’t very crowded. Plenty of free parking spaces as well which was great. The view is super amazing and beautiful!! You can see all of the main Florence landmarks from here and the replica of David is also magnificent!

Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in Florence! Best view of the city :)
