Our favorite meal in Positano! On our last day we stopped in for a late lunch and it was incredible. We are still talking about how good the scallops were and it was the best eggplant parmigiana we had our entire trip. The restaurant is beautiful and so is the view. Thank you Antonio and Bridget for having us, we hope to see you again!!

The best spot in Positano no doubt. It was hard to eat anywhere else in Positano after our experience here 😆It’s quaint, family owned, and further away from the super touristy areas. Everything was made on the spot after we ordered, so you can see and smell the delicious food being prepared. The cocktails were also delicious. We liked it so much we came here twice! We ordered the eggs in purgatory, savory ricotta toast, and French toast for breakfast AND the lamb, sea bass, and prosciutto melon for lunch. Everything was delicious!

Great tasty food in cozy and intimate cafe setting. Place is family run and the chef interacts with each table, daily specials change daily.
The food was delicious and some of the best we had during our Italy trip.

The place is popular for brunch (pancakes), if you’re coming for lunch, note that it starts at 12 (and you will not be seated before, suggest to arrive around 1145 to get a table when it starts)

We loved the lemon and shrimp pasta (very tasty and sauce was made from every part of the shrimp), the seafood stew was very tasty and we enjoyed the baba dessert. Chef was able to accommodate with a smaller side salad which was nice

Excellent lunch and breakfast place in Positano. Definitely *not* a tourist trap!

We discovered this gem when three other couples raved about this place on a bus we were on the night before - as in “the best French toast they’ve ever had”. So we immediately came the very next day and it lived up the hype.

The owner / chef is very kind and the hostess is super friendly. The dishes were all well crafted. I can indeed say the French toast is the best I’ve tasted! And the chef was kind enough to share part of his secret ingredient with me 😏

The ingredients fresh and rather simple, but all dishes are full of flavor. It’s evident all of them are made with heart and love.

An absolute culinary delight! Posides is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional food. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and charm. Chef Antonio works magic in the kitchen, creating dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. My husband and I are vegetarians and they had plenty of choices for us. Brigid is so warm, friendly and has the best recommendations! We visited Posides three times, twice for lunch and once for breakfast. Each bite is a testament to his skill and passion. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here!

P.S. the French toast and Caprese salad is a must!

Very small restaurant with handwritten menu on the outside.
We ordered the seafood stew and scallops with sea asparagus. Both dishes were great and even better with the bread.
Highlights
1. Waitress speaks perfect English which is rare in this area. Service was great.
2. Chef is funny and likes to interact with the guests. He's very proud of the Italian cuisine and sometimes may make fun of the "fake balsamic" in the US because they have a real balsamic in store which is aged for 25 years. It makes sense that the this is not provided as free vinegar to dip bread in. If you're already in Italy, then I encourage you enjoy the cuisine the way it is in Italy, instead of complaining about how it's different from at home, it IS different!
3. Open kitchen so you can see the chef prepare every dish as you order.
4. Price is fair relative to positano regular price.

It's a pity we didn't have space for their desserts, I wish I could try the French toast which is soaked overnight apparently.
I'd highly recommend but be aware it's very small so you might not find a seat available if the popularity picks up, visit there asap!

Absolutely the best place in Positano. Love the chef and I will always remember my “Persian promise” . Keep crushing it and loved the food. Not only was it an experience, he treated us like family and we loved every second of it.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have our first meal of Positano at Posides and we couldn’t stop raving about the food the rest of our time there. Antonio is such a meticulous, intentional chef and the service is amazing. We decided to also partake in his cooking class, which was not only very educational but so much fun. Couldn’t recommend more!

If I could give Posides a 6+ star review, I would. I waited until after I returned home from my wonderful trip to Italy to write this review, and I can promise you that this was the BEST meal I had while traveling through the southern region of Italy. Antonio, the owner and chef, is the most kind hearted person and amazing chef. You will feel like you are at home in this restaurant. I had the Rigatoni with the Tiramisu - best dessert I think I have ever had. Food and drinks are amazing! Go HERE! :-)

Outstanding food! Kind owner, although the space doesn’t allow dogs inside, there’s a table outside where we perfectly found our place. Breakfast was delicious. Recommended 10/10! Thank you for the great start of the day!

Posides is the best restaurant in Positano. Deep mussel tomato stew and fried lamb taste gently melting in the tongue. The strawberry pudding served as a dessert is insanely delicious. If you ever come to Positano, I recommend the best restaurant Posides!

The places was incredible, I was so amazed by the simplicity of the place.. We had the small table by the balcony and the view was breathtaking! We also enjoyed the positoast, which is absolutely delicious.

The best food and dining experience my family had in Italy. We had a wonderful waitress who gave great recommendations. The chef is great and personable. It was cool to watch as the food was prepared. A trip to Positano would be incomplete without a meal at Posides. Their tiramisu is also a 10/10. Best I’ve had.

My partner and I have been to many amazing restaurants throughout our time in Italy, but this one takes the cake. We stumbled onto this incredible restaurant early into our trip, and it has become a daily stop ever since!

The head chef Antonio is just as welcoming as he is talented, creating diverse seasonal menus of simply delicious dishes that leave everyone so satisfied they try to make space for more! From the seafood to the pastas, everything is crafted expertly, and I truly think it’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.

The restaurant itself has a calm and cozy feeling being perched on an upper level of Positano’s main streets (which we found a welcomed break from the shopping alleys down below) The waiting staff are incredibly lovely as well and clearly care about making sure everyone feels welcome and at home in the space!

Truly a must stop for anyone seeking some expertly crafted Italian cooking!

Such a great little spot with very high quality food. One of the freshest tasting meals we had in our trip. The chef was amazing and hilarious. We ordered the caprese salad and the lemon fettuccine with scallops & sea asparagus and they both were phenomenal!

Great little spot with very good food and fantastic service. Bridget was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping us select wines and Antonio made us a delicious lunch. Will definitely come back! They also offer cooking lessons👍

My husband and I visited Posides twice for lunch and took Antonio’s cooking class… so clearly obsessed with this place for many reasons! The food quality and preparation is perfection. Antonio is so knowledgeable of local foods and how to curate such delicious dishes letting the ingredients speak for themselves. He and Bridget also create such a fun, positive and welcoming environment that you feel like you are sitting in a kitchen with friends. Not only that we also had one of our best nights in Positano taking Antonio’s cooking class! We learned so much about his cooking philosophy and tips making homemade pasta, meatballs and tiramisu. He is also very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Can’t thank Antonio and Bridget enough for the unforgettable experiences!

We came here for breakfast and were so impressed with the food, so decided to return for lunch. Mind blowing food and great service. Salad was made especially for us even it wasn’t on the menu and as we wanted to try as many dishes as possible we agreed to have half portions. Burger carbonara, ricotta sandwich, lemon pasta with scallops, tomato seafood soup are in my heart.
