Must see destination! Absolutely amazing experience. Yes, it's a bit pricey but worth the experience. Pro tip, if they have tables at their fish stall, use those tables, not the ones upstairs. If you dine right there, you can see it all happen right in front of you.

Great place to experience the hustle and bustle of the local live seafood market. Feel that this is a better option compared to the one in Seoul. There are lots of vendors to choose from with most selling similar items. Just go for one vendor that you like or clique well with.
Must try's are definitely the crabs. King crabs are significantly pricier, but the snow or spider crabs are a good alternative, especially if you are just 2 people dining.
Personal preference is to get most of the seafood grilled or steamed, especially for the shellfish, it just tastes better that way. Fishes are good for sashimi.
After buying your seafood, the shop keeper will bring you up to the second floor where it will be cooked, and you will just need to pay another 5-10 dollars for the cooking fee. Overall, a great experience!

View @ Jagalchi Market (부산 자갈치시장).
.
This the largest seafood market in South Korea, surrounded by the ample waters of the port around Jung-Gu, Busan.
.
The wet market at the ground floor of Jagalchi Market sells every kind of seafood available; fish, squid, octopus, shrimp / prawns, shellfish (clams, mussels, scallops, abalone), sea snails, crab, and more.
.
You can bring purchased fresh seafood to the restaurant level of Jagalchi Market, where they will then clean and cook exquisite dishes for you.
.
Ambience is lively and buzzing. The wet market area is a cacophony of sights and sounds, vendors calling out to passing visitors, customers haggling with stall owners, large displays of seafood flanking the main walking aisle. The restaurant area has the clang of woks and the woosh of flames, with rows of functional modern furnishings in the brightly lit area packed with customers enjoying their meals. Recommend to visit during early hours, or, after the peak meal periods.
.
Service is enthusiastic and friendly. The wet market vendors will thrust large menus with pictures and English descriptions at you, and are more than pleased to welcome inspection of their fresh seafood. Each stall on the wet market floor is affiliated with a corresponding partner stall on the restaurant level, once you've made a purchase, the wet market vendor will direct you to the partner restaurant stall owner. Here, the chefs will whip up delicious dishes using the cooking style of your choice. They offer recommendations, and orders are served efficiently. I note they clean up quickly too.
.
Food is Korean cuisine, focused on fresh seafood. You opt for a style of cooking, and the kitchen prepares it on the spot. Very convenient, and a great dining experience. Quality is consistently good, thanks in part to the freshness of the seafood. Most of the restaurants will also serve complimentary Banchan / Side Dishes, and you can order beverages too. Portions are sized for communal group dining and sharing. Prices command a slight premium.

If you're a seafood lover, you'll love it here. Pricey but worth it for the freshness of the produce.

Went to Jacky's at number 8 after reading another review from Kean Tan and wasn't disappointed.

I feel like we got ripped off when ordering things that were market price, so best maybe to find the big ticket items downstairs and bring them up to cook?

We ate a lot for 2 people.
King Crab 2.7kg charged 200k
Sashimi 30k
Octopus 20k
Mixed clam soup 30k
Cass beer 4k
Fried rice 2k

Total 286,000.

We couldn't finish the crab so we had some left over meat cooked with the fried rice.

What I love about the place is that you don't need to order the set price stated on the menu. My wife is pregnant and couldn't eat sashimi and 50k worth was too much for me. You can just let them know how much you would like to spend and they will accommodate which is super awesome.

Also was given a couple prawns and clams complimentary.

Jagalchi Seafood Market is renowned for its abundance of stalls selling live seafood, offering an incredible experience. Up on the second floor, numerous restaurants are ready to skillfully cook the seafood you've chosen from the bustling first floor. This indoor haven is an ideal spot for tourists seeking to savor the freshness of Korean seafood. The clean and controlled indoor environment stands out as a notable advantage, surpassing the experience provided by the outdoor stalls surrounding the building. Additionally, there's a complimentary observatory deck on the rooftop.

Very interesting place.. you buy fresh (alive and kicking) seafood on the ground floor and then take it upstairs for cooking. It cost 5000 won person to cook - don't be fooled and take up the offer of getting seafood from relatives shop downstairs and cook cost will be waived - one king crab was 30000 won different from relatives shop to the shop a little over.

If U are wondering which stall to eat here.....Go to level 2, stall no.8 for Jacky restaurant. His stall is featured in one of the travel guide book.
The price is reasonable. My total bill is around +46000krw. Jacky is entertaining and will throw in a few free small dishes. I had my best meal in Korea here 👍

Was a highlight of my trip to Busan. A must to eat there. Go to stall 224 Gate 6. The young man speaks English and was really helpful. I had steamed crab and grilled squid. So fresh and tasty. You pay for your items selected in the market and it's sent straight to the restaurant upstairs. Each stall will tell you which restaurant to head to upstairs. Once upstairs there's a fee to pay for cooking your seafood and the fee includes small side dishes.

Select your live seafood at level 1 then proceed to level 2 to have it cooked and dine

Table charges apply per person

Lvl 2 has dried produces for purchases too.

Was a nice experience to dine in this manner with very fresh seafood.

Lobster and big crabs was going at 60k won per kg, 3 abalone for 15k won

Toilet available

Had a fantastic experience eating here! We went almost directly to level 2, at around 6pm. The place seemed quite busy with the locals, and the overall atmosphere was really lively for a Wednesday evening.

We ate at stall #17, where the most welcoming lady taught us how to eat sashimi the Korean way. Her explanations were really funny, and we managed to communicate well despite the language barrier.

Our order was a "small' plate of sashimi (it was not a small plate at all), a grilled sea bream, and we also received lots of side dishes and a tasty stew w eel to go along with the meal. Definitely felt absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal.

Highly recommend!

A must-visit attraction in Busan. Very clean with abundance of sea lives. 1 tip is that you should check the price first. Not saying they will rip u off, but to be sure as it could get a little expensive

One of the best places to see the hard working people earning money by trading and selling fish. If you want you can go to 2nd floor there are restaurants to choose fish or any other seafood they will prepare it for you.

Very yummy. King crab is sooo sweet. Sea urchin is USD17 each and served in wrapped seaweed.

The store owner gave us some free oysters and clam, very nice.

Going back here after a year, everything more busier than last year.

If you are a seafood lover, this is a place for you. Going up to the lvl2 then pick any restaurants you like, cause all the menu and prices are same 🤣.

If you were buy at vendors at lvl1, then bring up to lvl2, perhaps you will get some surcharges for the food.

A special and unique seafood market in Busan, many kind of fresh seafood here, you can choose then go to 2th floor for coking in the restaurant. Seafood is reasonable price but the cooking fee and table fee is expensive which is just steaming everything. Otherwise, you can go to restaurant directly, they have a menu. This market is worth to visit.
