Didn’t try the restaurant nor the hostel. Rented surf boards and had surf lessons with michael. Very nice teacher. Fun and with knowledge of the zone and the waves. Totally would recommend!

Podcast is the man! Super awesome local surfshop for all your needs. Hooked me up with top class service and help with getting my board fixed. Highly recommend 👌

We love cheeky monkey. If you’re a keen surfer, they have great short boards, mid length and long boards. The staff are efficient and helpful with board selection. Nothing is too much trouble! It’s also a great place to buy wax, fins, leg ropes etc if you have any troubles with your own board in the surf. It’s close to the good local surf breaks and convenience is everything when you’re itching for a wave!! Thanks Baba, Lucky and the crew. We love you ❤

Hey Boomers if offering a free shot was enough to get 5 star ratings then why don't the other spots have even higher ratings? Since they do not have ppl like u rating 1 cause of loud music.

Awesome and cozy rooms directly in front of all the surfspots. Food is delicious, friendly stuff and the owner is doing his best to fulfill every single wish of his guests.

Cheeky monkey offers the best location right at the beach front in surf paradise, as well as great food, good parties, all the surf gear you need, and the best vibe. The staff is super welcoming, and Baba is always ready to help you out if you need anything! I stayed here for 2 weeks, and I’m definitely coming back. Thanks for everything guys🙏🏼

Cheeky Monkey is the pinnacle of everything fun in Sri Lanka. I’ve never had a bad time here and I’ve been here 3 months. Surf, food, party, location, and people make it the most unique and special spot down south. The staff is very friendly and the owner is an incredible and hardworking person. IM IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!

I like the place a lot. Aslam who I surfed with was great. He and everyone else including Baba, the owner, made me feel welcomed at Cheeky Monkey every time I came by.
Cheeky is not only a good place to come to for surfing lessons but also for a drink and chill in the evening.

Baba and his very hardworking crew create a magical environment where everyone is welcomed.
The rooms are great right opposite the surf points - weligama is only 5 mins down the road (tuk tuk Less than one pound) for beginners if needs be.
The accomodation has its own gym which is available to use as well as a rooftop (2 one shaded and one open) to chill on.
The shop has various boards as well as surf instructors/tours for those looking to surf

The beach bar opposite that's Babas is fantastic! The food - highly recommend (seafood platter is a serious hit, mahi mahi and salad too - yum!) Breakfast is equally delicious - smoothie bowls are fab!
The beach bar has a chilled vibe until the evening where it's just all about fun and good vibes! It's a great place to chill or party! You decide!

Top work Baba and team - you really have shown the best of South of Sri Lanka! This is the reason why I keep coming back. I highly recommend anyone to try this place!

Cheeky monkey is one of my favourite places I’ve visited on the south coast of Sri Lanka. The people are great and the parties are crazyyyyy! If you travel to Sri Lanka, make sure to visit!

Excellent music and atmosphere. And the guy coordinating everything around, Roozie is soo noce and friedly. A really great host. Great booze, pizza and friends fun. The best party place to be in Weligama.

Very Nice place in front of océan ! They can cook you Fresh Fish, praws.. The staff is very welcoming and caring ! We met Lucky who is very Nice and speak a very good french ! We will Come back :)
