Jamu Surf Lodge

I booked 3 nights at Jamu and extended it to 6. I had the best time! With the cafe and yoga shala there is a communal feel to the place, but because the cafe closes before dinner, it's perfect as it's quiet at night (you can walk to plenty of delicious spots to eat). There are many surf breaks close by, and each night you can head to the beach for a coconut or a beer to watch the surf at coconuts and meet other people staying in the village. I'll be back :) thanks to the wonderful staff team

Make sure to spend some time at Jamu, be it just for the cafe, the accommodation, or the proximity to nice beaches. All the staff and other guests are very welcoming and it felt like we were visiting people we know. Passing time in the room or at the cafe was wholesome and deeply relaxing, two things that are very valuable if you’re trying to recover from a long day or the stress at home. I can’t speak for the yoga lessons, but we saw lots of happy (and relaxed) faces :)

Super nice and helpful staff, we immediately felt very welcome. Linus & Marie are doing a great job, they organised surf lessons and scooters for us as well. The yoga classes were very good! Breakfast is also nice, for lunch try the butter(no) chicken!

The best place you can find if you are looking for serenity, easy surf access, amazing food and yoga classes under the same roof. A place I keep coming back to. The owners are spending their winter season their and are all super friendly and helpful.

Amazing hotel whit a relaxing vibe and lovely green oasis. The rooms are very clean, fresh and new with a design touch. There is a nice outdoor gym area that is free to use. The staff is lovely and friendly. You can feel that the owners & staff have high expectations for this place. I will be staying at Jamu next time i visit Sri Lanka. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to try the workout classes and the lunch menu but they all seemed good. If i could leave suggestions for improvement I would say exclude the breakfast from the hotel price because a longer stay makes you feel that the breakfast alternatives lack in variation. However, I do want to emphasise that all the alternatives for breakfast were really good and I tried them all. Caffeine free coffee and tea could be added to the menu.

If there is a perfect place to stay during your holidays it’s Jamu. Here is where one can unwind and disconnect from the hustle of daily life.
It’s surrounded by nature and very close to the beach. Comfortable and clean, with laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food at the cafe. Wish we could stay longer!

Very good service for the price you pay. Very friends owners, mostly European guests, very friendly atmosphere. Food is very good as well at fair prices. Yoga sessions are amazing!

Excellent place with really good vibe! Best coffee in Sri Lanka, really good yoga (according to my yogi-wife) and delicious food. A place to visit!

This is my 2nd time visiting Jamu. Great location in the cutes area. Quiet, friendly and mellow atmosphere. Great food and coffee, and a nice place to get to know new people. I particularly enjoyed their yoga/pilates classes, which are varied with talenter instructors. You wont regret it!

Awesome chill cafe/ restaurant. I love their ice coffee and everything I ordered to eat so far was delicious. They have also lot of yoga classes and accommodation.

My partner and I came to this place for a Yin Yoga class. Tobi, the yoga teacher, was so good! We had a very joyful class and had a lovely conversation afterwards. The hotel is right next to beach, many surfers were staying there. It has a lovely ambiance ☺

Beautiful minimalist rooms, beautiful terrace, perfect location. Their cafe has amazing food. ( Brownie is to die for)

Amazing place with perfect coffee - exactly how you would like it. Recommended for both stay and stop by for a swedish "fika". Feels like being at home😊

Best place ever. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the yoga classes, the staff, everything is done to make us feel good there.
I didn't stayed there but the cafe and yoga classes are open for everyone.
Lot of different kind of yoga, and the schedule change every week. Differents teachers, I did classes with 3 of them which were all really competent and nice. This place really contributed to make my stay in Midigama even nicer. Thank you so much Jamu 🤍✨

As you can see from all the photos, the lodge is beautiful, clean and cozy. What makes this place so special are the people. A big thank you to Sherya, Pila, Faye and Lars.

The budget single room was perfectly spacious for one. The ac and fan kept the room dry and cool and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend all the yoga classes too :)

Loved it ! I stayed only one night however I wished I could have stayed longer at Jamu - the place is so nice, the rooms are well decorated, minimalistic, bedding is so good I had the best night sleep - Food is amazing - and last but not least staff is super kind and helpful, they helped me book surfing lesson.

The cosiest little hotel in Weligama! We have stayed at Jamu before and always want to come back! Love the beautiful interior and the friendly staff. Offers great yoga classes in the morning and evening. In evenings the yoga is on the rooftop which is really magical. Also the food is really delicious and Jamu is worth a visit just for lunch or a coffee break as well 🥰
