Kafejnīca "Kūriņš"

So, if You are lucky to visit Jurmala, You must visit Kūriņš. It is Lido food type pub. Portions will kill anyone, I'm sure you will ask for box to take away what is left on the plate :)))
Last time I was visiting, there were missing dark beer and some 50% of menu, already some hungry guys eated all out 🫢😁
But still I was happy with my choise and full. Waiters running around like crazy and do work hard to please You.
If You are lucky to see windows, you might see the seaside, and greens that bend in windy days, while you are at the warm pub.

Very nice place by the beach, lots of families going from local area and very good price for the food too! I had the Pork Knuckle for €15 and enough to take some back for snack tomorrow 😋 Paldies!

You want a big portion of Latvian traditional food? Kūriņš is the right place for that. I love this place! Beef shank and chicken fillet aregreat ! We visit this place regularly.

Great food, big portions, amazing view of the sea, just wonderful overall atmosphere. Usually dinner for 4 adults and 2 children with full bellies(including desert and n/a drinks) cost around 80-90€.

Gotta believe the hype - this place is the real deal. And also it surprised us in a good way - from many of the reviews and pictures you would think this is just the usual standard Latvian pork chop place, large portions, potatoes, all that. But what we ordered - Kurland Pirate and Beef with apple were these interesting, delicious meat dishes served without sides (just salad) to distract from the taste. And for that the portions were just the right size of large. Soup, tea and milk shake were good too.

Now the place was real busy - we got lucky and got a spot right by the bar on the first try, but basically it was packed and they had like 10 reserved signs waiting for their moment. Several potential patrons kept coming back to check if a table had freed up (thankfully it's RIGHT next to the beach so you can have a nice walk while you wait). Basically take that Google busy indicator times two. As for the service - the staff were very courteous and pleasant.

Now a special tip: If it's your first time and you follow a map to get here you'll end up at some place that looks sort-of like an abandoned cafe - but just keep on going a little bit further and after that there's a gate to the right where you can see a road going all the way to the sea. This place is at the end of that road, a nice wooden building.

Truly best place at this region during summer time. Very close to the beach, tasty food and portions are very big.

Food alone is a reason enough to visit the place again.
If you will celebrate some kind of occasion - ask them in advance to make a cake (I had an amazingly tasty and beautiful surprise organised on my birthday)!

Biggest portions for the best prices and oh so delicious. A must try is the chicken cheese dish with dried plums. Enjoy what a typical Latvian would eat at home here :)

Excellent place for food and drink right on the beach. Great latvian food and good beer all in proper cosy vibe, garlic bread snack is a tradition and a must when having beer.

A lovely place - very Latvian - right on the seaside. The portions are very, very large ao consider taking one main for two people.

Very popular place for locals, located on the beach, very nice and food is amazing . I tried a bit of everything and I suggest to try the "lost testicles"

Returning since 2008. it is really great when it is not busy. It is definitely a good choice of typical cuisine and big portions!
