Aspazijas māja

It's a fabulous place. It's situated right next to a busy road but that's not a big deal. Inside the house you can feel the charm of the past and the soul of that place. The lady who takes care of it is extremely kind which made my visit even more pleasant. It's clearly worth checking out, especially that it's for free!

Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to go inside the museum. However, we were impressed by the architecture of the building. Very detailed. Unexpected color combination. As for the entry, we were here on Saturday and saw no queues.

Fantastic place. There is parking place four free as well. Can use audio gide. Very intetestig historical place. Very important four latvians. Fantastic place four history and art lovers!:)

Gorgeous little museum! Highly recommend!

Very nice reception, the house is nicely arranged and the information appropriate even for tourists not knowing about its previous inhabitants (Aspazija and Rainis)

Lovely house of a poet. There are interactive games which children like. It is a well-preserved house with lots of personal items of the Aspazija. Free to visit. Do not miss.

Great museum even you don't now who is Aspazi. Staff who work here with great love told you everything about this Latvian poetess. Interesting and interactive exhabition wait you in this place. Very recommend this museum in Jurmala

Very interesting interactive museum.

Interesting poetess who promoted women's right. Very well refurbished and maintained former home. The guides were very helpful, knowledgeable and fluent in English as well as German.

I came across Aspazija House on doing some research on Jurmala and was definitely not disappointed on arrival. It's a nice stroll from the Majori station and the house is beautiful inside out, we were provided with an English audioguide roughly 40minutes and gave an extensive insight to the life of Aspazija. The interior is well preserved and the garden at the back gives great views of the house and the river. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Santa who also gave us suggestions of where to eat and go in Jurmala. We spent approximately 1hr at the house and was a great way to begin our day trip from Riga, would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed the visit very much.

Elza Johanna Emilija Lizete Plieksane is best known as a spouse of the most famous latvian poet Rainis, alias Janis Plieksans. Do not understand, why they bought a house between railway and street. Anyway, it has a taste of inspiration here

Time travelling to the past. Great place to visit if you are interested in history and old interior.
