Absolute must in Riga. They have many branches across town but this is the first and most authentic one. The place has 3 floors. As soon as you walk in smell of home-cooked food welcomes you. Everything inside is from wood. Loads of food choices with names also in English, staff doesn't speak much English but customers are fast to help. Absolutely loved the tea from berry jam and hot water and traditional rye-bread dessert. Very good value for money. Only downside is that it's quite noisy as loads of local families go there.

Lido is renowned for offering a wide range of Latvian and international dishes. Often specializes in traditional Latvian cuisine, allowing both locals and tourists to experience authentic flavors. The ambiance is often casual and welcoming, and the spacious layout and conducive to group dining. Typically have a family-friendly atmosphere, making them suitable for all ages. Inside there's a little play area for kids with games. Outside there's a mini-zoo with farm animals and some small amusement park rides.

As a part of my Sperm Donation World tour to Lativa, it was very important for me to try traditional Latvian cuisine. This one is the biggest Lido in Latvia and had a great layout to it. I arrived early, and around 11am was dead as it doesn't open to 12, but then everyone flocks in. It's set up in a buffet style layout, and you go around picking things of your choosing. For me, it all looked so good with no idea what I was really selecting the catfish, and the pancakes were delicious. The beer off tap was nice as well. All that in my photo for 21.75 euros, so great value for money.

Where Fantasy Meets Food and Even the Squirrels Are Amused!

Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up for a culinary roller coaster at Lido Krasta, the only place where you can dine in a fairytale without a fairy godmother!

Entering Lido Krasta is like accidentally crashing a Disney movie - there's magic in the air, and I'm not just talking about the smell of their European buffet. Speaking of which, the buffet is so extensive, I thought I needed a map and a compass to navigate it. I asked for a small plate and they gave me a shield from "Game of Thrones."

The outdoor area is so pet-friendly, I saw a cat hosting a TED Talk about the art of napping. Dogs are dining critics here, and my furry friend rated his bowl a Michelin star. Meanwhile, the kids' amusement park? It's like the Bermuda Triangle – kids go in and only reappear for ice cream.

Prices range from 3 to 20 euros, cheaper than my last regrettable online impulse buy. They’re practically giving away culinary happiness here. And the diversity! I saw more types of cuisine than in my last five food dreams combined. Vegetarian? Vegan? Gluten-free? This place caters to diets I haven't even heard of yet.

Then there’s the live music – so lively, even the statues were tapping their feet. I half expected Mozart to pop out and take a bow. And if you're into winter festivities, this place turns into Narnia, but with better food and less talking lions.

Parents, worry not! There's a "Nutrition school," where kids learn that vegetables are not mortal enemies. And if you're looking for a quiet romantic spot, good luck. The only private dining happens when a kid builds a fort under the table.

In conclusion, Lido Krasta isn't just a restaurant; it's a theme park for your taste buds, a wonderland for your inner child, and probably the only place where you can see a dog politely refusing a second helping of caviar. So, grab your forks, your kids, and your pets, and dive into the delightful chaos that is Lido!

I was absolutely astounded by the delicious food here at this buffet-type place in Riga especially the really delicious meal I had with Potato/Pork, Chicken Shashlik, stuffed pancakes, and an amazing dessert to finish. I also have a nut allergy and the staff were super kind and helpful in making sure the food was allergen free as well. I hope if I ever stop by in Riga to come back here again. I call Lido a 6 Star Eatery!!

Great atmosphere. It's a big complex. Not only restaurant but almost a resort. The whole premise is build for family time. Don't just plan for eating. Reserve your time for more activities. There's a mini zoo as well. I didn't know all this. So I am planning to go second time to take my kid to the mini zoo. My kid enjoyed a lot. They have separate sections for fish, grill, meat, drinks and dessert.

Amazing place with a wide variety of foods! Meat skewers, chicken fillets, porkchops, fish, burgers, calamari rings...

Inside there's a little "playground" for kids with some "whack-a-mole"-type games and a mini carousel. Outside there's a mini-zoo with farm animals and some small amusement park rides.

From Friday to Sunday there's a bar in the cellar, which seems cool! (I visited on a weekday)

If you’re visiting Riga without knowing any locals, know this - LIDO is where they grew up going. Having served the same meals for decades, the food is traditional Latvian. The beer is good, the food is good, the vibe is fun. Absolutely worth the visit if you’re looking for somewhere to have a giant dinner.

Unique place with attractive ambiance and environment to nurture your appetite and fill yourselves with Latvian food - a wide variety of dishes long across the food section with almost all kinds of meats and fish. The food tastes very healthy and nice. The place is clean and welcoming - decent staff and easy to access places across the entire seating area with decent furniture and which are cleaned for every alternating customers.

I ordered Plov, a coke and a lava chocolate muffin. They were absolutely amazing! The taste is really good and I highly recommend you visit this place if you have the chance.
