It's a bit crowded, as is usual, but one of the better beaches I have been to. One drawback would bet that it's pretty remote and does not have any shops nearby, you have to walk like a kilometer through a forest. Walk or cycle. I wonder how ambhlance gets there?
In the place I took the photo from there is a charging station for phones, but bring your own cable with you.

A great place for walking with the whole family, there are wide wooden walkways through the forest leading to the sea. A large car park is located next to the farm where you can watch the horses.

Many pathes takes you to the see through transparent pine forest. Fun for bike riding if you are not afraid of occasional sand and hills.

Nice area for longer or shorter walks. Go to seaside and feel the breeze or just wander through the forest area and listen to the wind while feeling warm and protected.

There is nothing special in the small town, but walk throught the forest to the sea is amazing. Also there is one restaurant which serves also fish dishes for 1/4 prices compared to Riga, very good. Good place for a trip to nature, not culture.

I live near, so Counting my blessings. Incredible birds we have here.its bird refuge here now...so exiting..mushrooms berries in the forest..
Incredible and so close to town.
Not too many people on the beach..and always can find where its not too crowded.
