Ranch de Diabat

I did a 4 days trekking (The Pearl of Essaouira) and it has been AMAZING.
The ranch is welcoming, clean and very well kept.
The team was caring and qualified, always ready to answer to our requests. You could see that they really take great care of their horses. Indeed the horses were all beautiful, healthy and well behaving.
We saw beautiful places and slept in breath taking spots.
I will definitely go back for another tour.

Lovely place ..My friends and I went for 1 hour quad in the morning, we had so much fun, our guide was very friendly and kind. We also had the chance to see the horses !

We did the Desert trail with a couple of friends in early February. Of course, the landscapes, sleeping in tents, riding in the desert and eating fantastic food deserves recognition. The Arab-barb horses were an experience in itself - hard-working, earnest, and also wicked fast when allowed to run. They are very well cared for and treated and trained using expert horsemanship.
Logistics around the trek worked seamlessly, and above all, the whole team were welcoming, genuine and inclusive. There was significant effort from the their side to make sure everyone felt included at all times, whether it was through casual small talk on horseback or translating conversations between languages to make sure everyone got in on the jokes. When travel plans following the end of the trek fell through for us as well as the other participants due to unforeseen weather circumstances and misinformation from the travel agent we booked through, the ranch worked ceaselessly to make sure everyone made it to their next destination safely. Even though you are of course a paying customer, you feel regarded also as a guest and a friend. We were so happy with the trek we went back for a shorter ride at the ranch in Essaouira as well, and once again received endless hospitality in the middle of the hustle and bustle of their everyday activities.
The only thing we would in any way caution about is that there may be quite big differences in riding experience within the group. Our guide did his best to make sure riders of all levels were happy though, which we ultimately were! :)
We hope to be back one day, but until then, we can only recommend Ranch de Diabat to anyone looking for a high quality trekking experience.

Magnifique 1 hour camel ride for the family - Mustafa and the two of his strong and handsome camels (Aladin and Gobi) accompanied us during this journey. Mustafa explained us the local agriculture and took super beautiful photos for us - would definitely come back for the horse ride!!

Sunset horse ride on the beach was pretty much everything we hoped for.

We were picked up from our Riad in a very cool customised VW hippy van and taken to the ranch where we filled in a form and watched the safety video.

I had never ridden a horse before so was a bit apprehensive but there were two staff with us in a group of four so they were able to keep an eye and help out where needed.

We enjoyed a nice route to the beach and then along the beach as the sun was going down. We went at a pretty slow pace, but for those that had more experience they were able to trot with the horses on their own. The guide asked me if I wanted to try going faster and tan along side holding the reins so I felt safe. We stopped to take some photos before heading back.

It was lovely and very chilled, the only thing that spoilt it really is the amount of rubbish everywhere :( but of course that can’t be helped

I definitely fell in love with this place ! My favorite part was definitely the quality of the service. The staff was so nice and I really enjoyed my time with them. I initially was supposed to have 3 activities with my family, I ended up going there every single day of my 1-week trip in Essouira. There is a special energy and vibe emerging from this city and its people. I definitely recommend Ranch de Diabat if you want to have high quality and value for money activities!

Great experience. We rode camels. They are the sweetest animals. They love to have their head petted. Beautiful views. Mufasa has really nice camels and all the animals on the ranch are well cared for. Mufasa is truly the camel whisperer. Highly recommend.

We arranged in advance, for a ride at sunset on the sea, they came to pick us up from the city and within ten minutes we arrived at the horse farm, we received a brief explanation, and we left, the ride was my best experience in Morocco, the horses are well taken care of, the local staff is very professional and kind, 🙏

Had such a wonderful time on an ATV ride in the desert and by the ocean. Such a welcoming company that we did a camel ride as well after being treated to come complementary Moroccan tea. The camel trainer Muassa was so great with the camels as he raised them for when they were babies! Such a great experience, especially for the Children :)

We just returned from an unforgettable dromedary ride and bivouac in the dunes of Essaouira. Mustafa was a fantastic guide, who made gentle dromedary riding an art. Besides that, he is a good photographer and left us with many photo memories. The January night was fresh, but still ok for 4 and 6 years old kids. Greatly recommended for families!

Excellent solo ride plus guide. Amazingly good horses. Very well looked after and trained. Ranch is professionally run to the highest standards

It was hard to find a way to interact with horses and camels without riding them, and the owner of our Riad recommended we go here. We spent probably 90 minutes just walking around and saying hi to all the horses, camels, cats, bunnies, and (my favorite) the friendly donkey Rosa. The staff were all extremely kind and answered our questions about the animals and their care. We’re traveling on a strict budget, but we left a donation to support the care of these wonderful creatures and their caretakers! Their animals all seem well cared for and loved, and some are even rescues. I would highly recommend coming here- either for a horse/camel/quad ride, or to just explore and get to know some of the animals. Lovely place with lovely animals and people.

Took the family for a days horse riding from Ranch de Diabat and had a great day out. Clean and tidy stables with well groomed horses. This is a well run outfit who care for their animals. I had a reasonably feisty stallion but they have horses to suit all and my wife and kids were very happy. Riding on the beach and in the dunes with a picnic lunch by the sea. We were well looked after. 10/10

Fantastic experience horse riding on the beach and through the sand dunes. I was collected close to my riad, driven up to the ranch where I watched a safety video and completed the form. I was then taken to my horse and off we went. The team looked after me throughout and were very professional and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Amazing experience! Even tough I was a little bit nervous to ride a horse since I had never done it. It was great because the guides were always with us making sure we were riding as we should be! Kareem was my guide and thanks to him and his care and instructions, I had a great time. The ranch is very familiar and staff is also very friendly. Go for it!

Great experience! We went for a full day dromedary trip and slept at the "bivouac" in a Berber tent. During the trip, we could admire the beauty of the ocean, the beach and the inner coast, all accompanied by a very nice picnic and by interesting facts and descriptions told us by our guide all along the trip! Then, up for the bivouac, next to the ocean, where we could have a snack, admire the sunset over the ocean, eat Moroccan specialities for dinner and spend our night in a true Berber tent, with of course a rich breakfast in the morning... Again, a great experience, we're all very happy and of course we recommend this place to anyone! Thank you to all of you at the Ranch de Diabat ☺

I did with friends the tour “The Pearl of Essaouira” (6 days / 5 nights) and it has been one the most beautiful travel I have ever done and a truly unforgettable life experience!

The magnificent horse (Berber and Arab stallions) extremely well taken care of, full of character and fun to ride, the scenery was over all these days very diverse and breathtakingly beautiful (even on rainy days!), the owner of the ranch and guides Érika and Omar and their all family and team so kind and so great professional host and guides.

Big fresh salads and traditional dishes were prepared every day for lunch, very nicely presented on tables set up in the middle of nature and for our evening stop we were received with a Moroccan tea and then a delicious dinner of Moroccan specialities!
We slept in large and beautiful Berber tents, except for one evening when we slept in a fishermen's village perched high on cliffs overlooking the sea, welcomed by jubilent children and exchanging with locals until late at night in the courtyard of the house, about life in Morocco, its different parts and it’s culture, its people and their lives, history and politics… just unforgettable!

I can highly recommend Ranch de Diabat for a riding holiday. We had the best time! Amazing horses, lovely guides, delicoius food, great accomodation & company, just beautiful !

Fantastic! Firstly, the place was really clean and you could see that the horses were well looked after. Our guide brought us along a river to the beach, where, despite being beginners, we tried a bit of trotting and a short canter. We came back through the sand dunes and he took photos for us the whole time so we could enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommendable.
