It is very difficult to put into words how incredible this experience was. Western Mongolia is outrageously beautiful but also completely different from anywhere else I’ve travelled to. It can be like stepping into the past as history, both recent and ancient, is everywhere for you to discover. The nomadic life is also there alive and well for you to experience with Yerlan and his team. What you get with Sayat Travel is an authentic and unforgettable experience with a small family company that treats you like a family guest rather than a customer. I couldn’t recommend this company and trip highly enough.

First thing I need to say, the staff and guides are amazing. I've got an amazing time learning about Mongolian cultures, nature and people. Our trip was about 12 days, and I feel like I would need to spend at least 1-2 years to learn about the amazing things here.

We spent our time with some nomadic families, joined them for the winter migration in the western part of Mongolia. It is an once in a lifetime experience for me. We also spent time in the capital city Ulaanbaatar, and Ulgii, a city in the west where we started to join the winter migration. Staffs took care of our members well, even though there were language barriers but we've learned to communicate with each other and I felt really happy about it. From the drivers, the guide (Yerlan :D), the cooks, the staffs setting up gers for us to stay and the stove to warm us up. I don't think these few words can describe how great of an experience this is and I would definitely come back to explore what I could not in my first time, with Sayat travel. I even tried to learn Mongolian language and everyone was really supportive and friendly in helping me, which motivates me to learn it thoroughly to talk to them when I come back!

And food was amazing! I really recommend doing your own research and learn a bit about languages, food, people, places before coming. That way you may be able to enjoy and immerse yourself much more with the people here!

Western Mongolia is one of the most spectacularly beautiful places I've ever seen. Between the landscape, watching and visiting eagle hunters in their homes, meeting nomadic families and going to a local family's house for dinner, it was the trip of a lifetime.

Yerlan made it even better with his endless patience, responsibility, intelligence and wealth of knowledge about the history and culture which he shared with us. We rode quite a bit as well, so if you like to ride horses, Yerlan is your man. I felt like I had known him for ages and we certainly laughed a lot, which is one of my favorite things to do!

All in all, if I could give double the stars I would do it! I hope to go back to Mongolia and take another tour with Yerlan.

We Booked a package tour with Sayat Travel to stay with the Nomadic families and some trekking within the Altai Tavan Bogd National park.

The crew and families was very wonderful and the team worked hard to ensure that we are comfortable and well fed.

I had no horse riding experience prior to this trip, we had a crash course and very quickly we're all riding away. the horses are tamed and easy to handle, even at narrow paths.

The food is cooked fresh daily by the chef that follows us throughout the trip, and we even had some home cooked food by the families on some evenings.

I would call this the trip of the year for me.

The best way to get to know Mongolia. We travelled around the west for a week with Yerlan and his crew and we couldn’t be happier with this experience. I had been in contact with Yerlan for 2 months previously and he was beyond helpful, sorting out internal flights and busses for us and generally answering all sorts of questions we had about the country and the trip with great patience. He let us stay with his beautiful family which was a wonderful introduction to the Kazakh way of life and the perfect start to exploring the region. His crew was made up of the nicest group of people, all so helpful and friendly and they looked after us so well. Especially our chef Akhtilek went above and beyond for us.
The trip itself was absolutely magical. At every corner, west Mongolia showed an even more beautiful side of itself.
We are so happy we came here and even happier we decided to explore this breathtaking part of the world with Yerlan and his company. We will recommend his agency to everyone and hope we will be back one day.

One of the most unique experience tour you can enjoy in Mongolia. Our group book a 10 days journey along the Atail mountain trail riding through van, horseback, and trekking.

Our journey includes meeting with several nomadic families. Partaking in their activities such as eagle training, cattle herding, and so on. Erlan and his crews are hardworking at making our trip as comfortable as it can be with picnics and camping along the scenic route.

Me and my brother have spent two weeks with Erlan, trekking in the Altai mountains range. It has been a magical experience, from both aspects- the nature there is just mind blowing by its beauty, and Erlan is a great guy who made us feel very welcomed and it felt like we were friends for a very long time already. Super recommended!
