Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex

An amazing place to visit. The statue is 40m tall and you can go up all the way to his body height and have a 360° view. In time to come, there'll be at least 200 gers that will be built. Plots have already been bought and soon it will be filled with tourism. The statue of Chinggis is higher than the Statue of Liberty.

Definitely a must if you visit Mongolia!! It's much more than just a monument. You have museum, place to try traditional dress, souvenira, camel riding, and amazing views

I would like to share more about the communications for tourists. There are no local bus till statue from Ulaanbaatar throughout the day. Only veey morning and late evening. So I went there during the day, I took a bus for Nalaikh from Ulaanbaatar, that's easy avilable. From there, I did hitchhiking. Hitchhiking is easy in Mongolia because mostly people own a car here. The statue area is not so much crowded. It's clean and maintained. The ticket price is 20000MNT per person.

They were preparing for Xmas and NYE party so there was an ice rink in the middle of the square with decorations around. The square itself was a nice place to visit

Visited as part of a group. Was not too crowded at the time so we had a great visit. Took many photos. Was a little windy but good once inside. The shops had nice souvenirs too!

I am so appreciate to visit today. It was really nice with a lot of exploration to see. Fresh air and calm place ;)

The coolest place I went to in Mongolia! Got to learn some Mongolian history and about Genghis Khan, ride horses, do archery, and take photos with a golden eagle on my shoulder. Highly recommend taking a day trip there. The drive from Ulaanbaatar was also cool to see the beautiful countryside.

Very simple, nonthenless very meaningful statue. The man of steel that conquered the World. A bit overpriced the entry ticket, for Mongolian standards. Visited in winter with no other turists.

This place is awesome, as in huge and imposing. Sitting on a steppe in the middle of nowhere. It has a multiplier visitors centre. Ther is a museum in the basement, souvenir shops, cafe, restaurant and of course you can walk the narrow steps to the lookout on near the horses head. There is also and eagle experience, horse riding and camel riding. I did only the eagle experience and it was a highlight of my time in Mongolia.

It's a great place for foreigner tourists to experience the culture and traditions, and learn history of Mongolia and Mongol Empire. It's clean, spacious and has models of giant whip and giant shoe.

In the basement, there are many gift shops to buy souvenirs and other Mongolian cultural items. In another stall, we can try Mongolian traditional clothes and pose for photos.

There are 1-2 restaurants, and coffee shops. But it takes good time to get our orders. I like the museum. It's huge and spectacular.

We can take an escalator and get on the nape of the horse. Though the views from there are better, going up through dark narrow staircases was like squeezing myself through the crevices of cliffs.

If there are many people lined up there, I don't recommend yourself joining. You'll thank me on this. Instead go below complex's parking area for distant views of the shiny stainless equestrian statue.

You can try archery and be like a Mongol warrior horde or take few photos holding vultures with the statue in the background.

Nice place. Price is not high. Around 9$ for one person.

Nice spot, impressive statue. A nice small museum, I learned a few things. Camels and eagles to interact with outside the museum.

A mighty metal statue of Chinggis Khaan riding a horse with his golden whip. Under the statue there is a small museum displaying Mongolian culture and historical artifacts. There is a staircase from the man’s chest to the house head to have a great view and closely pay tribute to the statue.
There is no public transportation to there in my information so better hire a private car to there. Most of the tourists visit here in the way to Terelj National Park.

It is impossible traveling to Mongolia without visiting its most iconic landmark (50km outside of UB) , a 40m-high glistening silver Chinggis Khaan statue. Constructed in 2008 from stainless steel, the dramatic statue has a lift rising up its tail, from where there are steps to the horse’s head. It was built here, so the legend goes, because this was the spot where Chinggis Khaan found a golden whip

Nice place with beautiful views. Here you can ride camel, take a photos with eagle and also become archer. But here is one minus - no bus goes there. I walked there around 1 hour, thanks for people who helped me, they stopped and after bringed me to the place.

A majestic statue of Chingghis Khan, great place for tourist to visit as there is also a museum situated at the complex, offering insights into the Mongolian Empire’s history. There are also eagle, camel and horses of the natives for tourist to have a close experience with them.

Wow! What fun to visit this place on his birthday! 15,000T entry and we enjoyed free fermeted yaks milk tea and 'donuts' as well as live music and dancing. Nice bar and small shops with souvenirs, plus a coffee shop.

Statue is a great place to visit, very near UB. The souvenir shop was closed this time, but usually there are nice things to buy there. Also there is coffee and restaurant, but it was too cold inside and they were out of tea, milk and other drinks.

Place with peace origin of great emprer Chinggis khan and his queen. Nice place to visit
