This resort is by far one of the best for couples. It’s romantic, yet relaxing and quiet. The rooms are stunning and the services was wonderful. The staff made our honeymoon and birthday a unique experience. Alejandro our concierge surprised us on so many occasions with items to celebrate in our room (champagne , cake, flowers etc)
Felipe and abraham our waiters by the pool went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! We will be back! Definitely recommend

We had a wonderful visit to this beautiful property. The entire staff was friendly and responsive. Amazing beach and snorkeling- turtles and more! We especially appreciated our concierge, Alejandro- he was kind and attentive and we were greeted with a smile every day of our trip! Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I were here for our wedding anniversary last May. It was our first trip to a Mexican AI resort, and I can't believe we waited so long! This resort ticked all the boxes for us. The staff was friendly and attentive and the amenities were everything we could have hoped for. We stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Tropical View (building 4) which had a peekaboo ocean view. The Spa was absolutely stunning. The restaurants were consistently good, although we didn't try the Asian or the Italian, simply because we kept returning to the French restaurant, Bordeaux. We loved the lush, jungle vibe of this resort and that is definitely one quality that we will be seeking in our next resort stay. We would absolutely consider returning to Secrets Akumal!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our time at Secrets Akumal!! Everything about our week here was phenomenal. The food is excellent, with great variety and perfectly sized portions. The service is outstanding - whenever we passed by anyone at the resort, they would kindly greet us. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We especially want to shout out Jesus and Dani for everything they did for us. The activities and daily entertainment were also top-notch. This resort thinks of absolutely everything to make you comfortable and have a wonderful time. It was relaxing, luxurious and fun. We will recommend it to all of our friends and family. If you’re looking for a truly memorable stay in paradise, look no further!

What an amazing resort! We were there for 6 nights earlier this month, and it simply wasn't long enough, so we booked another stay for March! The staff is phenomenal and seem very sincere in their desire to provide service above and beyond expectation. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained. The food is delicious - everything we had from room service, lunch at the pool, and restaurants was prepared well, presented incredibly and absolutely 5 star quality! Look no further - this is the place to stay. A special shout out to our wonderful concierge in building 5 - Jose - what a gem! Thanks to everyone here for making our stay one of the best vacations ever!

Staff is attentive and professional. You'll get good service no matter what, but tip somewhat regularly and you'll get GREAT service. So relaxing and such a beautiful property. I am thoroughly pampered!

Great experience across the board. Staff was outstanding! So friendly and helpful. Grounds were kept so clean, and there were poolside activities on the hour. Food was incredible from the buffet to the French restaurant, just great. Worth every penny.

The people who work here are so darn nice! Everyone says hello and is willing to drop what they are doing to help. Incredible hospitality and extended their help at every turn.
Alan, the concierge, went above and beyond to find me a bottle of wine and remembered our names from day one. Bruno was great organizing volleyball and late night karaoke, and again remembered us by name.
My husband loved that you had a variety of beers, including Tecate. Gina was a good sport with beach volleyball reffing and fun silent disco leader!

10000/10. Only complaint is 5 nights was not long enough. The most friendly staff imaginable. I wanted for nothing . The rooms were impeccable. Everything was clean, nice, well cared for . Every corner of this resort is picturesque . The grounds were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Drinks delicious. Plenty of places to eat from. I will be back and recommend this resort for the rest of my life!

A wonderful stay. It was so luxurious and was beyond my expectations - the staff in particular made it for us. So kind and attentive always. Loved the entertainment and live music. Food was really good too. Sergio and Luis at concierge were brilliant.

We spent 8 nights and 9 days here. The service was amazing. Everyone from the resort we interacted with were very kind and helpful. The resort was beautiful. The pools were all very clean, the plants are gorgeous, and the grounds are so well maintained.

Absolutely loved this place! Ive never been to an all inclusive resort before and it was AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking to relax and be pampered. The restaurants, bars and cafe all had delicious food options. All the staff was amazing especially our concierge Alan! Thank you to everyone that works there and tries so hard to give you the perfect stay. (PS. We were here for a wedding and it was so beautiful and they went above and beyond to make it memorable)

The first all-inclusive I’ve ever stayed at as an adult, and the bar is set extremely high now. I had such an amazing time here, the resort itself was so clean and beautiful, and the service was the best I’ve ever had. Everyone is so nice and genuine. From the warm hellos to getting daily phone calls from our concierge to make sure we had everything we needed. I felt like royalty here.

There are areas that are a bit more party vibe, but other areas that are quiet and peaceful, so you get the best of both worlds. They offer many activities like beach volleyball or morning stretching on the beach. The food IMO was spectacular. The breakfast and lunch buffet had so many options and most of the food was delicious. The restaurants at night were great. I saw reviews of people complaining about the wait time or portion size. We didn’t run into any of those issues. Never had to wait to be seated, service time was normal, and portion sizes were maybe more European sized, but still good (obviously not going to be your huge American portion size but good sized meal). Every time I left dinner I left so full.

All in all, such a great resort, I would recommend it!

My husband and I got back from our honeymoon last week and could not recommend this place more. It was like a dream. Neither of us had had an all inclusive holiday before and this has set the bar. From the pool to the restaurants and the other facilities. This place was so relaxed and chilled. I would highly recommend you go with the preferred club also. It just adds so much to it.
Special shout out to our room concierge Araceli, she was great and so helpful, the pool concierge Daniel, he was so helpful and always went above and beyond and Cecilia from housekeeping, our room was always immaculate after she was in it. Thank you so much.

If you are looking for an adults only all-inclusive, look no further! Of course the beaches, resort, and pools are stunning. You can tell the resort keeps their section of the beach clean. The grounds are a great mix of fun pool energy and private secluded jungle pathways.
The restaurants were amazing decor and delicious food. The spa was stunning and well priced.
The staff was beyond amazing. Each person you interacted with was kind and helpful. Our dedicated concierge also went above and beyond.

Stayed here for 1 week for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier with the resort and overall experience. The food was exceptionally delicious and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The resort itself was so beautiful with lots of greenery and natural wildlife. Our concierge, Alonso, was very helpful from start to finish and helped us access all of the amenities that the resort had to offer. We went snorkeling with Gabriel and Bruno and could not recommend it highly enough! We saw several turtles as well as sting rays and lots of fish. I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this place it was hands down the best vacation we’ve ever been on and we hope to come back in the future.

This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon. We upgraded to the Preferred Junior Suite, which was one of the best decisions we made as it added to our experience The food was very good and flavorful.

Con: The representative who helped us that morning said we could earn leisure cash and a free romantic dinner for attending a presentation so we agreed to go.

The presentation was to join the vacation club and we ended up being at the presentation from 10:30-2p which caused us to lose resort time. We accepted the final offer after declining multiple times, but I believe that it should be considered that when guests stay at a hotel like this, especially for a honeymoon they would also like to enjoy the resort and relax.

Absolutely loved this resort. The workers were all great and friendly, never pushy to do something or buy something extra. The restaurants were all excellent and the food selections were more than enough and were delicious. Best part is a Reservation isn't needed for anywhere unless you want to do hibachi. The beach was pristine and sandy. Service on the beach and pools was also great and made for a perfect lazy vacation.

Elegant adult only hotel right on the beach- white sand and warm water. Incredible & friendly service. Great nightly entertainment. Delicious food with so many options. Spacious and clean rooms. Honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at- highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun yet classy getaway.

We stayed here for Christmas, and it was absolutely worth our time and money.

From firsthand experience, we can say that the snorkeling is excellent. Every day, we saw turtles, stingrays, and fish of every color and shape. We even saw a couple of starfish, cuttlefish, and barracuda. No need to book a trip with the folks offering their snorkel services on the beach. We saw everything just off the shore of the resort.

Staff was always helpful and friendly. Our concierge was always so busy but never showed an ounce of stress. Servers and bartenders would remember us and ask if we wanted "the usual."

The only warning I want to give is that they will ask for 90 minutes (minimum) of your first morning for breakfast and a "membership" pitch. After about 150 minutes of increasingly aggressive salespeople (think of it like boss fights to help get you through), we decided against joining. This won't be a huge waste of time, however, as the resort will give you a certificate of your choice for attending the breakfast. We opted for the spa discounts. They ended up saving us about 70% for 80-minute massages each. It's completely and totally worth it. It was one of the best massages I've ever had.

If you're considering staying here, we'd highly recommend flying into the new Tulum airport instead of Cancun Airport. It took us almost 4 hours to get to the resort in the shuttle from the airport. We ended up booking a private shuttle for the way back.

Everything else was astounding. We are genuinely considering coming back in the future.
