I can’t express how great the service was here. Weather was nice, the view of the city at night was spectacular. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They always made sure we took advantage of the activities especially the sunset on the helipad. They served us drinks and food and walked with us to the helipad. Whatever we needed they provided. The drive up the mountain to the hotel is pretty rough but the hotel area is very safe.

Special shout-out to Pritika and John for amazing service down by the pool area. They were always attentive and always accommodated our requests. They were very friendly and made us feel so welcomed and made sure we had a good time. Thank you.

I'm giving full marks but I would still like to call out a few cons alongside the pros.

Pros - Majestic property and location. Right at the hilltop with spectacular 360 degree views of the surroundings and the snow ranges. Rooms, pools, bar, spa, recreation, aesthetics, furnishings were all full proof. Food was great and service was even better. Added services provided at the helipad during sunset was the icing on the cake.

Cons - stretches of the approach road are unpaved. Adding to that, the last 5 kms are pretty steep. So a vehicle with 4 wheel drive would be recommended, driven by an experienced driver.
Also the room prices could have been more competitive. I feel this would get them more boarders.

But overall, a memorable stay!

Beautiful property, well maintained. Approach road from the usual pitch road was under construction...Took the diversion off road was pretty slippery as it had rained. The welcome and hospitality was good . Overall infrastructure is perfect and nice. Couldn't use the pool due to cold weather. Showed us a movie which was ok. Food was also excellent.

Quick getaway from the city. With a great view and excellent service. The place itself feels like a paradise. To top it off with jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna, yoga etc.

Take a few days off to be here. You will be relaxed and recharged.

Our family of 17 were hosted by the most gracious set of warm hearted people at The Terraces. Each one of us has only great memories to carry back with us. The management team, staff, F&B departed, head chef, each and every soul at The Terraces ensured our 4 day holiday was one we would remember for the rest of our lives. We are most definitely going to go back and spend more time exploring the property.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Terraces, and this place is an excellent and relaxing resort to stay at. The view was spectacular on the couple of clear days while we were there, and they have lots of complimentary activities like guided hikes (or you can explore on your own), free bicycles for you to use, a spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, and they offered more activities that we didn't get a chance to do. I 100% recommend staying here!

10/10. We celebrated our marriage anniversary here and staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The resort is absolutely gorgeous itself, situated across the Himalayan range. The restaurant has delicious food and well crafted drinks. Do not miss if you’re in Nepal.

An amazing time at the Terraces! It is a gem in the hills of Kathmandu. After the busyness of traffic, we enjoyed a small beautiful ride in the hills, reaching a green and magical place : the Terraces. The entrance into the monastery architecture building is simply amazing, they opened the door and we were lucky to have a clear sky and the astonishing view on the beautiful courtyard and more : the HIMALAYAS in the background !! The full place is great: the facilities and services, the staff and direction members, the view on Kathmandu, the sunset moment organized by the hotel, etc. I wish I had at least one week to enjoy it all and I really recommend the place :)

A true oasis of calm and the highlight of our trip to the Kathmandu Valley. My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay in one of the Presidential Suites, which features a private terrace and jacuzzi with an incredible view of the valley and the Himalayas to the north.

The property has a very luxurious, quiet, wellness retreat feel- it’s clear that the proprietors value a connection to the natural beauty of the site itself. The restaurant was excellent, particularly the South Indian breakfast dishes. Some of the vegetables and herbs are grown on-site. It all feels very wholistic.

The staff was incredibly kind and attentive during our stay. We were guided by a particularly friendly staff member to a nearby viewpoint featuring a sweeping vista, where he explained that this was the only resort where you could see all three ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley. Upon returning, we enjoyed sunset views on the helipads with cocktails and snacks.

We started the next morning in a private yoga session in the outdoor pavilion, which was incredibly tranquil and the perfect start to our day. We also partook in a couples massage, which was undoubtedly the best upper body massage I have ever had in my life.

Overall very rejuvenating accommodations and the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Would highly recommend, and cannot wait to return!

This resort is a true gem. The facilities were designed for tranquility and the staff went absolutely above and beyond to make sure you have everything taken care of.

You can start your mornings with a panoramic view of the Himalayas while you eat your breakfast. Apart from that the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were all calming and clean, although they all could be a bit hotter. It was empty every time we went so it was basically like having a private spa. We also had some massages which took place in a beautiful room overlooking a hill.

We also had enough activities to ensure we had a pretty packed schedule. It included a yoga session in the morning and a hike around the area with a very nice guide. They also had a recreational room with pool and other games. I also enjoyed the sundowner event which took place on top of a hill where they provided free momos and tea while you watched the sunset.

The food was delicious and they had a good variety of dishes. I especially loved the Timur Pork. The only thing I was disappointed by was the fact that there was only a buffet dinner option for one of the days which cost ~2600, which is quite expensive compared to what you can get if the regular menu was available. However, this was my only complaint and everything else made up for it.

The service was the best part of the entire stay. The flexibility of the staff was very refreshing and there were always people there that looked happy to help you in any way. They provided things like a packed breakfast before an early morning flight and a random deck of playing cards we were hoping to use.

Overall, this place has left a lasting impact on me and I wish the staff all the best!

The Terrasses Resort and Spa is a fantastic place! As soon as you pass the (very nice wooden) gates, you feel how special the whole place is. The views on the Himalayas are as good as it gets and you can have them from the restaurant, reception, the huge jacuzzi, the pool, your yoga mat and of course the room. And being terraced makes it that you can feel secluded even when the resort is full.

Everything is well thought and carefully designed and implemented, from furniture to excellent mattress and pillows to the quality of the air in the room and the bath amenities.

The staff, under the management of Suman Shrestha, is professional and friendly and everyone goes the extra mile. It's not uncommon to run into the owners, who - very low key - helped me understand (at my request) how they managed to build the resort in a environmental friendly way.

The long massage I had in the spa was amazing, the hikes organised by the resort guide were exactly what we looked for and the yoga instructor understood well who we were and adapted easily and the sunset cocktails on the helipad were a delight!

Finally the food in the restaurant was excellent!

We will definitely come back. Thanks to all of you for making our stay so special!

Spectacular hospitality!
What a delightful stay at the terraces resort and spa. Me and my family went there to celebrate my brother’s birthday and we enjoyed every moment. Staff went beyond the expectation and organised a small surprise for my brother for his birthday which was really heart warming. The resort itself is very beautiful and we received exquisite treatment. Special thanks to Mr. Tenzing Sherpa, Mr. Rabin khadka and Mr. Prem Manandhar for their excellent hospitality. Hats off to all the great activities that were available. The real highlight was the amazing food among which sel roti in Nepali kitchen was outstanding- like really! what a concept ❤. We would definitely recommend this place 5/5 and looking forward to come back again. Cheers 🥂
