Mosteiro do Leitão (Batalha)

Never think of a good decorated high class restaurant even welcome dogs. Really appreciated and thank for the water and the treat to the dog. We all also concluded their leitão is perfect, not too salty, not over roasted.. no complaint, especially the price is really reasonable for such food and service quality.

Roasted suckling pig, garlic clams, mushroom risotto are especially good.
Convenient location, superb service, clean and tidy,
What else do you need to be a customer here ?
I shall return.

Best Leitão in Portugal. Too tender to describe accurately and the taste is mouthwatering. A little understaffed at times but the staff that are there are great. Beautifully decorated.

I had a great experience with this resturant. The food was good, prices are good, service was good. The overall experience was good. Maybe one day we will return to this place and try it again! Muito obrigado!

Fantastic place, for both meat, fish and veggie eaters. Nice selection of wines and very kind staff. Of course everyone is taking the pork but also other dishes are delicious. Portions are really big!

A great food experience. I like going to restaurants because of restaurants like this one. It's a food experience, not just a meal.. the service was perfect - our server was very attentive, provided great suggestions. As for food, everything was divine. We ordered clams, duck, piglet belly, monkfish + desserts (blueberry Millefolle suggested by the server was out of this world) and everything was perfectly cooked. Thank you!🙂

We have been here more than 10 times in total, very friendly to family with children. The “Leitao” is absolutely great and they have a lot of beef dish and the quality is high. However as a big restaurant, the food quality sometimes not very steady.///1/2023, we hosted our friend from Nederland here and this meal was just wonderful, I have to say beside the leitao, this restaurant have the best duck dish in this region.

I'm giving this place 5 stars for food and service. I loved that it was pet friendly! They even brought my dog a bowl of water! My stomach didn't accept the sauce, but the Leitão was wonderful. And the créeme bulee was DIVINE.

Personally, it is my favorite type of restaurant, not only because of Leitão but because everything is good (literally) and for a reasonable price. The restaurant is huge, tons of space between tables and staff ia great. I am coming back for sure!

Since I have been there the first time i am in love with this restaurant. The leitao is always amazing and one of the most delicious things i ever ate. 5 Stars.

Great great piglet. Just for this it is already deserved 5* place. But in top of that it has also a very good service. Professional friendly nice. Restaurant pet friendly. Only thing I would change, price goes at around 20€ person. Comparing with piglet restaurants in the area it’s more or less this, but I find it a bit pricey for Portuguese reality. All in all, very good.

The food at this restaurant is authentic Portuguese food. The roasted pig is delicious. It's a huge place and when you walk in, you sign in with your name and the number of people in your party. It's first come first serve but it also depends on the size of your group.

Our server was Helenna and she was great. Smiling and efficient. We were seated towards the back which was great because of the space between our table and the next.

Everytime we go there we order sucking pig to bring home. 1kg €26 and chips €2. Great space. Fool of amazing friendly people. And the food, unbelievable, my favorite in Portugal.
A place to bring family and friends and free car park.
