Well done to the owners for making such an establishment in central Portugal. Educational and interesting and shows the countries heritage. Friendly staff highly recommended

We took a chance based on google reviews and are so pleased that we visited. The museum offered an informative journey through time of olive oil making. We really appreciated the attention to detail when it came to the historical preservation of some of the 19th and 20th century presses. We also took lunch in the restaurant associated with the property and couldn’t be happier with our choices of wild boar and goat. We recommend anyone visiting the region take a few hours to enjoy the museum’s quirky combo of architecture and curated works.

Note: if you visit during olive harvesting season, you can also get a tour of the olive oil factory just next door.

An overnight motorhome stop with the Easycamp scheme. Museum very worthwhile and an interesting piece of architecture. Sadly the restaurant was closed in the evening but we enjoyed a stroll to the village with Roman remains.

A perfect day out, visit Bobadela close to Oliveira do hospital. The Roman ruins are impressive in this little village and the museu do Azeite"museum of olive oil" gives you the perfect impression and experience how this magical delicious product on your plate is made in real life. On top of it all you can have lunch or dinner in their restaurant with spectacular view on the Serra da Estrela. We had costela de barrosã and migas and both we're delicious! They also have vegitarian food!
