Klong Prao Resort( Koh Chang)

This hotel is older however the location is right on the beach. The rooms we stayed in surrounded a fresh water lagoon filled with fish and in part of this area fishing is allowed. The rooms were spacious, nice although not luxurious. The air conditioning kept the room well cooled. A few pluses were a small store within the resort for market priced beers, snacks, wine, fruit juices, etc. The breakfast was the best on our stay so far with an egg station and a soup station as well as a wide range of foods. Although we didn’t miss it, I would suggest that management should add a latte machine to ensure the entire experience is at the highest level.

The diner restaurant was nice and served both Thai and Western foods. They even put on a fire show one night for guests. It is right on the beach although not air conditioned.

The back of the resort has a bridge that is a shortcut to the main room with many restaurant options, stores and food options and other food options are just down the beach. In regards to the beach, the water temperature was around shower temperature and you could walk around about 500 meters and still be in soft sand chest deep.

Where is falls short is the English language skills of the staff as a few errors were made due to this.

We had the Villa looking over the lagoon and it was awesome. The beach for me is a way better than white sand beach. The staff is awesome. The breakfast is really good. The gym is in bad shape since half the machine is broken but it's still a 5 stars stay for me. Oh and the WI Fi is EXCELLENT! Don't hesitate to book there ! It worth every penny!

Effecient staff.Clean Villa. Peaceful environment. Beach was just beside our villa, access to such a beautiful view..even from the swimming pool. The mini lake in the middle was a great touch to the nature + family-friendly resort.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Klong Prao Resort during my visit to the beautiful island of Koh Chang. I must say, it was a truly memorable experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, I was treated to exceptional service, stunning surroundings, and a relaxing atmosphere.

One of the standout features of Klong Prao Resort is its breathtaking location. Situated right on the pristine shores of Koh Chang, the resort offers stunning views of the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore was a true delight, and it set the tone for a peaceful and rejuvenating stay.

This is our 3rd visit with family. Once more it was an excellent stay.

It's best to live here in koh chang Island.The environment is good. There are some ants in the room by the sea, but lying on the couch near the beach is still very comfortable. The scenery is very good. You can take a nap here and enjoy the sea breeze. The lake view behind is also good. There are some ants in the room, perhaps because of the season.

It's one of the most spectacular sites on Klong prao beach.
I went there to have lime shake.
Before I went there for a iced capuchino.
Also I enjoyed a free sunbed and had a great swim.
Next time maybe I book a room at the resort too.

Amazing rooms, very clean. Little to no insects, beds were so comfy I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. The staff are amazing and its just overall a gorgeous resort. The breakfast provided was huge and there was something for all dietary restrictions, no complaints at all!

Excellent resort. We booked 2 days, but ended up extending to 6. The beach and lagoon are both very beautiful. We stayed in the Standard and Deluxe rooms. Preferred the standard rooms, as there was no sewer gas smell in the bathrooms. 😉. The staff were very helpful, the restaurant was beautiful, with great food (Many western and Thai options).

Great resort right on the beach at a competitive price. Pool us good as us the fitness center. Friendly staff. Buffet breakfast of Thai & Western food included. Definitely stay here again.

Another one of my favorite resorts in Koh Chung. This resort is located on the beach and is extremely clean.
The breakfast is plenty, and is very good.
The staff are friendly.
The pool is a bit small but is very good.

We got a fantastic upgrade to the villa for a very low price. Be aware not all facilities are running (eg. massage, pool bar) but there are massage parlors within walking distance and hotel restaurant is just a minutes walk from pool.

Vegan fried rice possible for breakfast.

Beach is quiet and very clean compared to rest of Thailand. Great spot to watch sunset.

A great getaway for a couple.

I doubled the length of my stay here because I was so impressed! Beautiful surroundings, clean/new accommodations, very helpful & friendly staff, the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept on here in Thailand,... I was more than satisfied. There is a long beach with white sand (cleaned every morning). It is conveniently located in the center of the western side of the island, so you are no more than a 20-30 minute drive to either the northern or southern tip. I will be back!

5 star experience. the bad, if you want a really nice room, book a more expensive room. The cheapest room options are comfy and clean but basic and uninspiring. the good, everything else! breakfast was awesome easily worth 4 to 500 baht in added value. the beach and pool were fantastic, and it's an isolated beach so the only people you swim with are other guests. kayaks available too. restaurant was very good as well, obviously not budget prices but not absurd either.

The food here is delicious. Beautiful place, clean rooms, good service staff Next time I will go again.

Great place to stay and relax in Koh Chang. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good restaurant right in front of beach. There is store as well for all the basic needs. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Highly recommend this place.

The hotel is located on the beautifull beach. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is in a large open building on the lake with a short and stunning bridge across. Breakfast was first class with a wide choice of all foods, served as a buffet.Very polite staff with a big smile:-)
