Beautiful fort and a great view from the top. Unfortunately not too many information in English was posted. Outside of the fort, there is trash everywhere. Few trashcans would solve most of the problems. Anyway, it was nice to stop by for a quick visit.

Very beautiful Monument in Mahdia 😍 the entry is very cheap. And as you go inside you can read a little bit of history and then go up to discover an amazing view, a view from where you can see the sea and the city of Mahdia. Very nice and I would recommend visiting it 😍

Ottoman fort of Mahdia. Worth visiting, even though it has been heavily reconstructed and modified. Many of the things you see inside are not original. However, you can still get an idea of how this fort used to look like and get a nice view from the old Mahdia.

The Fortress was left by the ottomans at the end of the 16th Century. It is considered one of the finest specimens of the ottoman military architecture.

Amazing fortress. I think it's beautiful and really worth visiting. Something I would recommend to all the tourists

recommended: for your best experience, slow down, find the forts guardian, and let him make you tea!... while you enjoy his company, but most of all the stories he has here from de last 17 years or so. life is sweet!

Altro posto che da solo vale la visita a Mahdia.
Il forte è ben conservato e presenta delle sale informative ben custodite.
Terrazza panoramica da sogno da cui sì può vedere tutta la sensazionale costa.
Costo 8 TND.
