Kupaga Villas Boutique Hotel

Booking Kupaga has been the best decision for our holiday. The hotel is located right in front of the stunning Jambiani beach. The room is big, very comfortable and clean (pictured: room view). The food at the restaurant is great. And last but not least, every single person working in the hotel, from the restaurant staff to the manager Charlotte, all have gone above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Thank you! We'll be back :)

Very nice place to stay during your trip in Zanzibar. The view is amazing, people are very kind and the food was the best we’ve tried during our one week trip on the island. Martin and Charlotte were very welcoming hosts. They arranged the organisation of all our trips. Clean and cosy rooms. Special thanks for the bartenders for the great cocktails during the daily happy hour 😉

This place is beyond fantastic!! The team is full of smiles all day...Charlotte ( manager) takes care of all your wishes and demands. Great views of pool and ocean, rooms spacious, clean and comfortable...all food is served well portioned and high standard... what a happy place...well done to the team!! Hope to come back one day!

At our second stay at this beautiful island we stayed at the Kupaga Villas and what can I tell? This place is awesome! The beauty of the area is really unique. The pool and the hotel is so nice arranged and everything here makes you stay feeling home. The people are so friendly and Ines is doing a great great job.
At our first stay we discovered a lot of hotels and there was always missing something, but this place is just 100% a happy place!
The rooms are so nice arranged and with all details the five stars are not enough. Martin is such a charming and nice guy and the bar stuff is always there with a smile is doing a great job.
And if you want to do a trip which can add the cherry to your Zanzibar experience you should go and book a trip with Maurice.
He will explain every detail of each tour in a nice way and for sure he’ll give you a great feeling by discovering the island with him.

In total it is an absolutely brilliant stay at Kupaga and I can just highly recommend this place as one of the best destinations in jambiani! Go there and enjoy the best time of your life!

What can I say - totally wonderful, from Charlotte the manager to all the friendly smiling staff . Superb location , great rooms and scrumptious food. Nothing was too much trouble. This really is a little bit of paradise set on an amazing beach that stretches out as far as the eye can see at low tide. I’ll be back 😀

Kupaga Villas is a very nice hotel in Jambiani, directly on the beach. We booked spontaneously and received a warm welcome and a welcome drink when we checked in. The staff is very friendly, especially the manager Ines, she’s the heart of the hotel. She and her team proved outstanding hospitality.

The rooms are spacious and clean. They provide towels, shampoo,... everything you need. Even if there was no AC, the fan did its job and we slept very well. You have an amazing sea view from every single room!

The property has a pool and a restaurant facing the ocean. The food was good but a bit more expensive than in the restaurants around. Their cocktails and especially the fruit juices are delicious! One minor critique is that the juices took quite a long time to be served. But I understand that they are freshly prepared. Breakfast is included and you can choose between sweet and sour. It was very good and quite a lot, a big plus!

Overall, we had an amazing time at Kupaga Villas and I can highly recommend staying there!

The best hotel we stayed at in Zanzibar, and we hopped around a lot. Super chill spot, great set up where all the rooms look at the ocean, great food and drinks (including never using tap water for anything), and very welcoming people. The room had a walk in closet, great water pressure, a little fridge, and air conditioner. Everything you would need. Absolutely loved it, wish we stayed longer.

Beautiful villa with lovely pool and stunning sea views. Staff very friendly and welcoming, especially Ines the owner and Martin the assistant manager. They helped organize the most amazing birthday boat trip on a traditional Dhow. The food was so good we hardly ate anywhere else. ALSO...happy hour every day cocktails 2 4 1 is a perfect touch. It’s our favorite place we’ve stayed in Zanzibar, will definitely come back !!

Perfect stay at this boutique hotel. Staff very helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is a winner and the beach spectacular. Wish we could have stayed longer!!! we stayed 5 days and enjoyed every minute.

Loved this place. Beautiful room setup with only water facing rooms. Kupaga is clean, spacey and has a boutique flair, with a pool and good vibes straight at the beach.

The rooms were quite large, with a dedicated dressing room, comfortable bed, and newly refurbished bathroom.

Staff speaks very good English (notably better than most other places around here)

Food was good, albeit a bit more expensive than other places around. There is usually only one bartender, so smoothies and cocktails may take some time.

Located in Jambiani. Small but cozy. Great staff. Martin the masai guy was very nice and helpful. Nice ambience. Direct access to the beach. Beautiful beach and really big when tide is low. Good rooms and clean. Wifi low, something to improve about it. Not easy access from the road

We made a reservation for 7 days and we stayed for 5 days longer. The nicest people, fresh and tasty food, ... Be sure to try the tuna tataki and the sourdough bread. The rooms are large, bright and very clean, with comfortable beds, good fans and airconditioning. The view is astounding, from every room! There is a quiet but fun vibe. Every evening the people from the town gather on the beach and they just play football together with the tourists: a marvellous thing to see. It's not our normal way of holidaying, we're normally more active but here we even spent a few days without leaving the hotel.

This place is amazing! It is already our second trip to Zanzibar and this is by far the most wonderful hotel to stay. Inès, Martin and the rest of the team are so warm hearted and are doing a great job by welcoming all guests with a big smile and a lot of useful recommendations! The hotel with its cosy and wonderful decorated pool area is beautiful and the rooms are equipped with everything you might need. Don’t miss to book your stay at Kupaga when in Jambiani, it is so much more than worth it!

I spent 4 nights in Kupaga and I wish I could have stayed longer. It’s about 1h20mins taxi ride from the ferry port but it was worth the drive. The hotel is facing the ocean directly, you can hear the sound of the waves and get access to the white sand beach in just one minute. The hotel also has a pool, a bar and a restaurant.

The room is well appointed and spacious. It features a queen size bedroom, a bathroom and a dressing room with amenities such as AC, a small fridge, tea and coffee facilities, toiletries and a safe. The bed is very comfy I must say.

The owners are from Belgium. Inês left her job in legal sector to start a new page in Zanzibar. She went to Zanzibar for holidays years ago and fell in love with this place. So she worked with her mom to open this hotel in December 2018. They hired the people from the village right next to the hotel, used everything from Zanzibar in the hotel and recommended me a very good local restaurant nearby.

The staff members are very welcoming. Maurice is the guy who can arrange you excursions around the island. Noel works in the bar and always make sure everything is fine for you. Martin was away for a few days but he is very helpful as well.

I enjoyed my stay in Kupaga a lot and hope to be back one day during the wind season to do kiting properly.
