Coral Rocks Zanzibar

Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated rooms, kind and helpful staff, beautiful location for photos and a walk in the sea rather than for swimming, awesome live on Monday, we personally liked it and we didn't mind the sound from the band and the DJ at all. Now to the only negative for us, we want music at breakfast and lunch and dinner as well, otherwise you drive us away and we look for what we want in other neighboring bars restaurants and hotels. I won't take the one star away because we had a fantastic time, hopefully next time we visit you will have fixed it...

Coral rocks is the best hotel we have stayed at during our days in Zanzibar. Beachfront rooms and spectacular views make it a perfect honeymoon destination. The food from restaurant is delicious, try the lobster and the beef samosas (our favourite) but everything is on point. Service is very kind and attentive in all areas of the hotel. The manager Francesco is a great guy, he makes you feel like at home at all times and has a great feel of hospitality. They host a weekly party on Mondays with a great selection of DJs and high quality sound system that will make you dance through the night under the Tanzanian skies.

I didnt stay here as a guest but stopped by two times to eat pizza and pasta. I am not a great fan of eating sea food every day, so I asked if they can make me a pasta gorgonzola as I did have the gorgonzola on my pizza the first time. The cook did an amazing job by creating an gorgonzola zuchini pasta and they didnt charge extra but made a fair price for it. This totally made my day. Asante sana. 🔥🔥🔥

We visited the bar and it was amazing. Designed beautifully, overlooking the beach and the ocean, it provides a unique experience.

I loved this place - really lovely situation in front of the ocean looking over the beach - I had a small cottage with a little verandah and I gorgeous bathroom.

One of those places where the sheets and pillows were high quality fabric and a delight to sleep in - the towels lush too!

I had a great night's sleep despite the storm outside and the crazy wind!

Breakfast was good and the service friendly and efficient. I'll put up a photo of the French toast my friend had! Amazing.

A quick word about the shop! A fantastic selection of clothes and arty decor items made this a bit of a delight! We probably went more than we should have because we kept having to shelter from the storm.

I'd have liked bedside tables to put phone and book onto and a small table outside with the deck chairs too - for my coffee....
I'd have been pleased with a kettle and a cup of tea on that stormy day too - but these are just hopeful suggestions - as I'm sure I'll go back 😊🙏

This hidden gem is undoubtedly one of the best secret getaways I've had the pleasure of discovering. Jambiani beach, with its pristine beauty, is a true paradise, and I wish I could have extended my stay here.

The majority of rooms offer breathtaking sea views, overlooking waters so clear you can't resist taking a dip. When it comes to dining, the restaurant is a culinary delight, albeit with prices resembling those you'd find in Europe. The quality of the food more than justifies it.

For those seeking lively entertainment, mark your calendar for Saturdays when the BBQ buffet is a treat, and Mondays, when the place transforms into a vibrant night club. All in all, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's an enchanting getaway that leaves you with unforgettable memories.

We spent time at the pool, visited the boutique and ordered drinks over 4 days while staying next door (so can’t speak to rooms). Very clean and traveler friendly. Not necessarily a local experience, per se but a nice taste of home when we wanted it. Everyone (particularly Ali in the bar) was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here.

I choose this hotel by follow my friend advise from Dubai who been staying here. Such a lovely place , chill and nature , right in front of the beach, rooms are great and price is decent for. Truly enjoyed my experience here and thanks a lot to receptionist Odath who been very helpful with everything ❤ definitely will back again 🫶🏻

Hidden gem! One of those spots that doesn’t get super packed! The staff were nice! Great ocean views and the vibe is exactly what you dream of when you dream about lounging by the ocean, cocktail in hand enjoying the breeze. Rooms have an elegant local Afro beach vibe. Staff are very helpful, if you need to get anywhere they can haul a ride for you. Rooms on the furthest side don’t get wifi, but that wasn’t too much of a problem. The food menu, albeit somewhat limited, while still trying to cater for lots of different types of folk, was still good. Very picturesque!

I only went to the parties on Mondays. They are amazing! Every Monday there is a live band playing African music until midnight. Then a DJ takes over. There is always such a great atmosphere and energy. Absolutely loved going there and I'm definitely going to miss it.

This place is incredible! It is right on the ocean front but there is also a beautiful pool to swim in. The owners are both great, positive people, who are just so laid back and friendly. The restaurant side has a bit of noise, as they frequently have DJ nights and live music etc. But don't let that deter, ask them for the quiet side and you won't hear anything but the wind and ocean lulling you to sleep. Additionally, the cooks are incredible and can prepare meals even for those on restrictive diets. This place is a great value for your money-I will definitely come back

First 🌟 goes to the location, but man situated on the rock cliffs edge hanging over the ocean very picture of ideal spot to take photos sunrise and during the day.

Second and third 🌟 amazing service been there several times, lunch, dinner and for their Monday madness party 🎉 the staff Always smiling and accomodating.
Once I ordered food and the waiter noticed there was a communication mistake, the serving was small he could see something was not right and gave me more food. I didn't need to complain or say anything To me that's worth 10 ✨ ✨

Fourth 🌟 Monday madness it's the place to be on a Monday night starts around 9 with a local band playing Africa beats midnight the crazy DJ Kicks in and it goes off to the wee hours...

Fifth 🌟over all service, food and drink fast, cool little pool with a couple of deck chairs it's definetly an Instagram spot.

Really one of the greatest little getaways I've done for a long time.

People were friendly, food was fantastic and the room was wonderful. It felt very comforting and worth the little time needed. It's no 5star hotel but it's definitely a home away from home. It's a place you can relax and sleep comfortably.

One of the best hotels I've ever been to. Very serene, very quiet. Perfect for a getaway. The food is amazing and so is the service. Wake up to the sound of the waves crashing. I just can't imagine a better place.

Celebrated my birthday here and had a great time. Love the staff. Love the establishment. It is a perfect spot. Good was humongous and so good. Pool was very nice also! I will go back

Great vibe throughout a lovely setting on the water where all the staff is friendly, welcoming, and nice to chat with. Whether it was a big breakfast, filling dinner, or a small bite to eat, the food was fantastic. Highly recommend
