Dolphin Safari Lodge

We loved Dolphin Safari Lodge and have returned since. The beach front Makuti bungalows are heavenly! The view is terrific! The food is wonderful especially the Fish Curry!
The service top notch! I can’t say enough!

We have been at the Dolphin Safari Lodge for 7 Days. It was an amazing stay. At our arrival we thought we are in a travel catalog because the view and the lodge have been so georgus. The Lodge is located in the south of Zanzibar at a quiet place. Perfect to chill and relax. Our room was for three people, we had much space and everything was clean. We could decide everyday I
if we wanted to have roomservice or not. When we wanted to do a daytrip the hotelmanager Patrick helped us to arrange everything and he always cared about our safety at Zanzibar. At the Dolphin Safari Lodge always was a familiar atmosphere, in the evening sometimes we sat at the beach around the campfire with the other guests and the hotelmanager and drank a glass of wine. The breakfast was a typical breakfast with bread, butter, eggs and fresh fruits. For Lunch we usually could choose between three different meals. Dinner was usually served at the table. It always was a typical and delicious african dinner. If you have restrictions on eating (e.g. vegetarian), they care about it. We would come back at anytime.

Wir waren für 7 Tage in der Dolphin Safari Lodge. Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub. Bei der Ankunft dachten wir, wir befinden uns in einem Reisekatalog, weil die Aussicht und die Lodge so schön waren (und immer noch sind). Die Lodge ist im Süden von Zanzibar in einer ruhigen Gegend. Unser dreier Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Ob man Zimmerservice habe möchte konnte man jeden Morgen selbst entscheiden. Also ein Perfekter Ort um abzuschalten und sich ohne viel Trubel zu erholen. Wenn wir Tagesausflüge machen wollten hat der Hotelmanager Patrick uns immer unter die Arme gegriffen und alles für uns arrangiert. Er war immer auf unsere Sicherheit in Zanzibar bedacht. In der Dolphin Safari Lodge war immer eine familiäre Atmosphäre, am Abend haben wir oft mit anderen Hotelgästen, und auch Patrick, mit einem Glas Wein um das Lagerfeuer am Strand gesessen. Zum Frühstück gab es Brötchen, Butter, Spiegeleier und frische Früchte. Zum Mittag gab es üblicherweise eine Auswahl von drei verschiedenen Gerichten (z.B. Panini oder Spaghetti). Das Abendessen wurde am Tisch serviert. Es war ein typisch afrikanisches Abendessen und sehr sehr lecker. Wenn es bestimmte Anliegen beim Essen gibt (z.B. Vegetarier) wurde auf diese Rücksicht genommen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Amazing place on the seaside, a real marine park. The owner Patrick is the most welcoming guy in Zanzibar. He is also a first class French cook. He has the best dolphin encounter tours. Snorkel with dolphins. What else? We loved the eco style of the lodge.

Great views, beautiful living spaces looking out onto the sea and a host who will not stop until you have eaten his incredible seafood. Highlight of our time in Zanzibar.

this place is great because is like small charm hotel , close to the nature and in front ocean .The atmosphere like Robinson Crusoe.employees very friendly and the cuisine with only fresh and organic product.

All the good words about the place are true. Don't expect supercomfort, but do expect a wonderfully mood. It's made with big love.

We went there only for the restaurant, but twice, as it was delicious. Simply one of the best restaurants on the island.

Waanzinnig mooie plek. Heerlijk eten. En een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Comfortabele bungalows. Een rustige en relaxte plek voor een romantische en of luie strandvakantie. Ook is er genoeg te doen zoals snorkelen, dolfijnen tour, naruurgebied met apen etc. Hele aardige mensen. Nederlands en Frans sprekend. Het enige minpuntje vond ik dat wanneer je een excursie wilt doen er min of meer van je verwacht wordt om het via hun te regelen. Terwijl het in het dorp veel goedkoper wordt aangeboden en je dan bovendien zélf kunt kiezen met wie je op pad gaat. (natuurlijk wel op eigen risico!) Doordat het zo kleinschalig is voel je je als gast echt in de watten gelegd. Dat is deels prettig maar kan ook een tikje benauwdend worden. Des al niet te min een fantastische vakantie gehad!

Um local bastante relaxante, o comida e muito saborosa e em boa quantidade. O pessoal é muito simpático e atencioso. Não procure aqui um hotel de luxo, mas um sítio calmo para desfrutar da vista e da vida local. A maré quando enche fica ao nível do jardim, quando está vazia e possível passear na praia. Patrick o proprietário, foi bastante acolhedor e disponível para ajudar com qualquer problema. Um sítio recomendado para quem gosta deste tipo de turismo.

Nous avons passés un séjour magnifique et magique dans ce cadre idyllique un dépaysement total les propriétaires Astrid et Patrick sont merveilleux la restauration est délicieuse et copieuse des produits locaux vraiment délicieux et très bien cuisinés. Le personnel est très accueillant et souriants un vrai plaisir. Les lodges sont très beaux avec tout le confort. Les masaïs sont formidables encore un grand merci à Astrid Patrick Alexandre Sébastien pour tout, votre gentillesse votre bienveillance et pour avoir contribué à notre bonheur.
