Airport Planet Lodge @ Kilimanjaro International Airport

What a wonderful experience! Such a kind, warm-hearted staff. So refreshing to be welcomed with cool towels and guava juice. The rooms are beautiful and clean and it was an unexpected surprise to have air conditioning after a week without. The pool is clean and perfectly located next to a restaurant equipped with delicious food and friendly staff. I love the weekend breakfast options! They also have spa services on the grounds and super easy transit to and from the airport. Asante Sana, Planet Lodge!

We had a great stay here. We enjoyed the food. The pool was peaceful with good poolside food and drink service. Our room and patio were lovely. Our bathroom was quite nice including bathrobes! The gardens were well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was our first stop on our vacation, and set the tone for the rest of the trip. We were welcomed after a long flight with a refreshing drink and cool towels, so welcomed, so needed. Check in was relatively quick for our party of 6. We were whisked off to our rooms in the cutest villas (not at all what I was expecting but we were so pleasantly surprised).

The rooms were clean and cool, the shower was huge!! Bed - perfect.

Quickly freshened up for dinner. Everything was great. We even had a special request, that the kitchen was able to deliver on. (No other hotel for the rest of our trip could deliver on that request and we stayed at 4 other locations). The breakfast options was a great mix of local and continental options.

Our waiter Tegmea was a gem. He also served us for after dinner cocktails and was great with wine recommendations.

Strolling the grounds and smelling all the fruit trees was so calming and peaceful. I wished we had more time at this hotel.

Their website does not give an accurate representation of how great this place is. It is a perfect stop for a layover to catch some ZZZ or relax before your flight. They offer great shuttle to and from the airport, you can get a service to make a quick day trip to Arusha, rooms are comfy and staff are amazing. Definitely staying again

Very close to the airport and included a free shuttle. Includes breakfast which was very nice too. We added a day room stay the next day for $120USD so we could relax before our late flight out which was easy to do. Staff were amazing and very helpful - they went above and beyond. Dinner was fun with singing and dancing. The pool was lovely with wait staff at the pool bar (who didn't linger around the pool, which I really appreciated).

My only complaint is that our room didn't have a hair dryer.

Everyone is so friendly and kind! The room ad hotel are so clean and well looked after. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious! Our server Tegemea was so attentive. 100% recommend whilst traveling through Tanzania or visiting Mt Kilimanjaro, close to the airport and complimentary shuttle!

This place is a HIDDEN GEM. Very close to airport and they even have a shuttle running every hour to airport. We have been in 30+ countries. Comparative to top 5 star chains like Marriot, Hilton etc this can’t be a 3 star hotel as it says in google. It’s above that. (4) The hotel is in the process of getting accredited apparently. The hotel manager Mr. Abuu and the staff is a huge asset to the organization. John‘s service in F&B area is TOP notch. The staff seems to be trained by a professional hotelier. Food is top notch they also serve pizza.

My wife Anne & I were warmly welcomed to the Airport Planet Lodge before our safari. The staff was so kind & accommodating. We really loved Abuu! The whole stay was such a wonderful welcome to Tanzania & we highly recommend visiting the Airport Planet Lodge!

Lush green paradise vibe here. Almost like a botanical garden. Yummy food. Service with a smile. Great location. Felt very safe and comfortable.

Nice and close to the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurant quality is good, also breakfast is nice. Very nice swimming pool.

I have never stayed in this hotel, but I can confidently say that the staff are fantastic. I was driving to Kilimanjaro airport when I realised I forgot to print my e-visa. Walter at reception printed it out and had it ready in an envelope when I arrived.

Without Walter’s help, I would have been stuck in the airport for over a day, unable to see my family friends. I’m very grateful to all the hotel staff for their hospitality. Asante sana!!

Was not sure what expect, but this location was gorgeous! Great rooms shared in small duplexes around the compound. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Wonderful gift shop. Staff were VERY kind and accommodating. Restaurant is lovely. Can't speak more highly of this spot. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

My top choice for clients looking to make it to the Kilimanjaro airport early in the morning or late at night... A bit expensive but good facilities, wonderful employees,

A place with shuttle service to JRO Airport which is almost 15 minutes from Lodge to 🛫
It's a lovely and enyoble place to stay vist and having lunch or dinner.

Our stay at Airport Planet Lodge was fantastic. I truly felt at home for the 2 nights we stayed. The staff was so welcoming and kind. The food was delicious, the rooms were big and nice. The bathroom was luxurious and clean. You won’t regret staying here! Everest and David will ensure you’re taken care of.

Planet lodge is one of the Best I have stayed, amongst hotels near Airport. Just 10 minutes from Kilimanjaro International airport. Very well maintained, excellent rooms,food and service. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone traveling to Kilimanjaro.

I was recently traveling solo and chose this hotel due to the proximity to the airport and shuttle service. James was waiting for me as scheduled and all of the staff were so welcoming upon my arrival. Everything was very clean and the food was great. Highly recommend!

Very nice and beautiful lodge with comfortable big rooms and huge beds. The staff is very kind and attentive, they want you to have the best stay. It was a very nice and short stay where we relaxed from the safari before. Only the internet connection could be better, but that's not the most important when you are on holidays and want to relax.
