Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe

Every visit here is better than the last. I really love the food and cocktails are great too. The lake view is breathtaking plus the service is very quick, professional and friendly. I would definitely come back.

After being away over 6 years away from my family, this stop was perfect for my wife and I. We checked into our room and were given a suite when I gave them my Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Membership Card. The resort was directly located at the bank of Lake Victoria, "The Source of the Nile River." Upon waiting for our room as we checked in early from my flight from Alabama, we had a beautiful cozy lunch at the hotel restaurant. After waiting, the staff took our bags to the room and settled into a beautiful room overlooking the pool bar and restaurant area with a breath-taking view of the lake from our balcony. The room was beyond my expectations, and we quickly settled in.

I firmly suggest this place as a stop in. The staff were more than happy to serve us. My wife felt like a celebrity, and that's what I wanted her to feel!

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff members, the food, the environment are all nice and cozy. I loved the lake front and views.

2 min away from airport just on the Victoria lake. amazing views from window with pool and outdoor bar. staff is sooo nice and helpful. rooms are clean with all you need. fast wifi. buffet for breakfast is very nice with delicious coffee. great for stopover when you travel through entebbe

I had a great stay at the Protea Entebbe after 6 weeks of work out in various rural parts of Uganda. It was a great place to relax and recover. The staff is very helpful, they have a very complete fitness center a very pleasant pool and waterfront with a nice bar and restaurant and the more full restaurant inside has a very complete menu and breakfast buffet.

My room was very clean and pleasant as well, and had a nice breeze off the lake when I sit on the balcony. I highly recommend it if you want to relax and recover coming or going from your time in Uganda.

I didn't stay here since they were fully booked. But had 3 day events at Protea. The service was amazing and the staff are super helpful/nice. The view of L. Victoria is gorgeous and best perk of all, its just like 5 minutes away from Entebbe Airport. I enjoyed the food, the coffee, and the ambiance of the place. The internet was a bit slow though but everything else took it all away for me.

Can't rate the rooms as I did not stay there, just popped in for a Coffee while the sun was setting over lake Victoria. This hotel has an amazing view and is right on the lake.

Went there for a buffet breakfast and it was very good. I have no complaints whatsoever. Good food, excellent espresso coffee and flawless service in a nice.environment.

The hotel is located just a few minutes from the airport. Airport transfer is swift in a comfortable vehicle. The rooms are large with a spectacular view of the take. The pool size is very good. Buffet selection is limited, but the few food items available were sumptuous, natural, and local food options. The service from all staff was amazing and welcoming. I also loved the gym that is well equipped and also has amazing views of the lake. Unfortunately, there are very many lake flies in the outdoors due to the hotel's proximity to Lake Victoria

I've stayed in the hotel for four nights is part of the vacation in Uganda. We have found tell a very nice place to relax.
The service of the staff was marvelous, the people in the reception, the restaurant and more very willingly to help always with a smile.
The rooms were very nice, clean, the bed was good and the bathroom very sutesfying the balcony had a good view to the lake and a nice breeze coming from the lake made staying there relexing. Do sometimes there were many many lake flies that don't harm at all bat made stink outside a bit uncomfortable. There is nothing ro do about it and they weren't there all of the times. Depends on the weather and wind.
The restaurant is very good we had the opportunity to try many cuisines and all were delicious.
The pool is beautiful and very chilly which is nice during the heat of the day. A very nice spa.
Do it is very close to the airport we haven't noticed any planes it was quiet and tranquil.
Staying so close to the lake gave a nice atmosphere of vacation.

Very near to airport and it takes hardly 5 minutes from hotel. Hotel has beautiful view of lake Victoria and it was a breath taking moment. Indian food is available in ala carte but not plenty . Didn't find any Indian food in breakfast buffet. Price is not that worth for the rooms. If we pay extra we can get lake facing room and that was really good

The place is clam,having a great view of lake Victoria form all directions.
It also have a peace full place to clam your mind
The rooms are wide enough,good bed soft and hard,air conditioner are everywhere inside the hotel.

Beautiful location on lake. Close to entebee Airport with hotel shuttle if needed. Restaurant good despite slow service at times. Could use some fans in the evening for air movement. Beware that hotel charges 5% service charge on everything purchased in hotel. I didn't see any description of this anywhere except when reviewing the bill back home.
