Anacortes Public Library

My visit to the library allowed a first-hand look at the community's most valuable resource. Spacious, plenty of windows, comfortable seating, and abundant items to borrow. My good friend did much of the interior finish construction, which personalized my visit. For the brief time I spent inside this well-appointed public library, I left knowing that the residents of Anacortes had evidence of the best use of taxpayer dollars! Enthusiastically recommended.

The Anacortes Public Library is a very nice community library with friendly and helpful staff. I was able to send several files to print from their online print service. Cheryl helped me to understand how to pay for and print my pages after arriving. I definitely recommend visiting them for your local library needs.

I love this library! They have an extensive e-book service that I use almost every day. I rarely, physically, go to the library. But when I do - it is always friendly and knowledgeable service.

One of the best libraries in Washington State. It has a room full of very affordable second hand books for sale managed by Friends of the Libraries. There are some free books and magazines as well. Also, there is a a shelf of canned goods for th3 needy displayed right before the inner entrance. The restrooms are clean. The whole library area is super clean and has the comfortable, warmth ambience. All the personnel are pleasant and helpful.

Very friendly staff their some of the nicest librarians I've met great selection of books and movies their always updating their program daily also great security on the movie boxes

Excellent facility, wonderful staff. Lisa in the children’s section is always helpful. I requested a book that has long been out of print not expecting much and to my astonishment they had it for me in a week.

Seemed like a very nice library with many community services. I came in for the passport service. They were very helpful and were able to fit us in before other local places. Thank you!

The building is gorgeous, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.
When I say their selection is wide, I mean W I D E.
Need a book or audiobook? Of course they have it they're a library. You can get it digitally or physically.
What about music a movie? They have those too, and also videogames!!
Need a puzzle or a STEM kit to strengthen young minds? They've got it!
Their vast collection and their broad selection of activities and programs make this my favorite place to go in Anacortes. It's beautiful and tranquil, and I always feel my best when surrounded by books.

A wonderful community resource with very helpful staff. Light, bright, clean and well organized its a great place of discovery with resource offerings that go beyond books and magazines.

A wonderful children's area! It is very large, they have a shelf of games to play, an entire row of parenting books and educational books. A fun place, even for just a passing visitor like us. Waiting for the ferry to get in.

We just moved to a nearby town which participates in the Skagit Valley Library Passport program, so we get to enjoy going here even if we don't live in Anacortes. It's a beautiful library with MANY great children's books! I have an avid reader that is 11 and one just starting to read at 6. Plenty of selection for both. Good amount of parking, clean outside the neighborhood and feels safe (can't say the same about some of the other libraries in the county) The people that work there are friendly and very helpful. We love coming here!

Clean, well lit, lots of power stations, 2 hour meeting rooms available without a card, clean restrooms... oh,and there're books ;-)

Such a beautiful library, I drove up from Marysville to send off for my passport, which you can do there, and the drive up is everything! The bacon burger at Island Deli is scrumptious and the Fidalgo beer is the way to go!! Thank you Anacortes!!

We love, love, love the Anacortes library. Wonderful children's section and the Maneiri jazz music collection make it a win/win for our family.

What I love about that library is they selling cheap used book right next to the public library! Also I use there for print more resume easily! Librarians are very helpful. That's why I wish I could work there!😊

The people that work at the library are wonderful. They are helpful if you're having difficulty finding items. They also have dvds that are entertaining and knowledgeable.

It has a lot of activities for kids and the staff makes you feel welcome... the library is very clean and organized
