This independent record store sells vinyl records of many Northwest area musical artists. The staff there is very knowledgeable and helpful. It's always worth a visit to their store in .the old downtown area on Commercial Ave

Best record store I've ever been to, hands down. I don't say that lightly. I love Sonic boom and Easy St, and the amoeba stores in California are great. They all have larger selections than the Business, but none of them are as well curated or staffed. The only thing I would change is I wish it were closer to my house! Not really though, as the out-there location is part of the charm. Every record lover and hunter should put this on their bucket list.

The Business is one of a kind. It is an indie music hub and A-town gem. You feel cooler or more evolved just by entering the doors but not in a pretentious way. The owners are very kind and very helpful. If you like independent bookstores or want to dive deep into the local PNW music scene this is a must stop for you when visiting Anacortes, WA. Lots of vinyl but also cds and zines, etc. I just bought the most beautiful tarot card deck there with artwork created by a local artist.

Must visit this record store! First time customer because of Record Store Day. I learned The Business has been open since 1978. Both employees were friendly, approachable and helpful! They had a wide variety of products both new and used. They have an inventory system for quick lookups too if you're needing some help finding an item. I will be visiting in the future. :)

What an awesome and unexpected find while on vacation. I am a DJ and tend to play a lot of hard to find quality lofi and downtempo music. The store had an album playing that really caught my attention and connected with what I tend to play. Long story short I spoke with the owner and walked away with exactly what I have been looking for to play at an event. As well as some new music to start playing. The Business specializes in high quality Independent music labels with a focus on curation. They made my year for finding new music.

Really well-curated selection of local and national artists. Friendly and unobtrusive staff. Came in wondering and came out with three LPs. I have to go here every time I visit Anacortes.

Choice selection of adventurous indie music ranging from ambient to hardcore, mostly on vinyl, curated with great care, presented attractively, and priced reasonably. Good focus on local and PNW artists. Categorization was idiosyncratic and inspired discussion. Bonus points for carrying a few well selected zines and art books. A real gem of a shop for aficionados, worth traveling to visit.

Great little record store. Their "pay what you want" section had a lot of fun stuff, including a record my girlfriend had played to death growing up and hadn't heard in a long time. Lots of Anacortes and other NW artists in stock, too.

Super-nitch genre shop full of mostly new release vinyl. If you're into straight up abstract underground, noise, drone, ambient, expirimental, free improv, out-jazz, psych, stoner, indie, off the radar labels then this is a meca. There's also a great amount of accessible releases that encompass the aforementioned genres. Lots of Pacific Northwest artists/bands can be found in the bins here. Touring musicians between Seattle-Bellingham-Vancouver are especially encouraged to check this place out.

Racks are not really set up to flip through, more of a lift and look, but the selection is good, lots of small label stuff, helpful staff, no judgment.
