Betsy's Round the Corner

Since me to the area,we have made it a point to try as many local restaurants as we can. Betsy's Round the Corner was next on our list to try. It's one of those You Could Walk Past it and never know it's there , that would be a huge mistake. Eat inside or dine out side under an umbrella. The staff is super friendly and quick. Place your order first and then sit down. I recommend the pimento cheese dip. It's amazing. They have changing blue plate special and a lot of be unique items. The entire place is very charming. We will definitely be back. Btw. Ice cream and craft beer a plenty.

My husband had the Murphy dog (chili was more like taco meat though) he said it was ok
Upstairs was closed off however, there was plenty of seating indoors. There’s also outdoor tables with umbrellas if you prefer that dining experience.
We had chocolate malts! They tasted alittle different than any we’ve ever had.

I loved their old location. This one does not have the same nostalgic vibe. The owners did try but "no cigar".
However, the food is good. The Ruben sandwich was absolutely perfect. Best ever!

First time visiting Aiken, Google best restaurant in Aiken. What great food service and atmosphere. The deserts looked incredible but I didn't have time. But there will be a next time and there will be dessert graduation mark

So sad this place is closing went there for lunch had the shrimp po boy and bustin brownie sundae was off the chain this place should not be closing we need to start a petition to keep it open

Jamiece at the bar took great care of us!! The food is cooked to order and very delicious!! We had the onion rings and they were the best I ever had! It’s a must stop when in Aiken. The restaurant was PACKED and we were waited on immediately and our food came out in record time!! Stop by and see Jamiece at the bar or any of the awesome staff!

Very nice, shaded, outdoor seating! They seem to be taking all the covid precautions seriously, the staff were all properly covering their mouths and noses, and all seemed to be wiping surfaces in between other tasks. Eating outside on a weekday felt very safe, only one other group was outside, well away from us. Music was nice and little finches were looking for crumbs, the children really enjoyed that.

The restaurant was very cute and had great seating. The hostess and waitress were very nice and attentive. The food was delicious! We ordered the Ruben and the Rachel. I love the blast from the past look and feel of the restaurant. We plan to come back to the town sometime in the future.

We got there about 15 mins before closing, but Betsy's girl took care of us. We had a club sandwich and sweet tea. Both the food and warm hospitality were impeccable. Would recommend this place again and again. They even have outside tables !

Our first time in Aiken and here for a wedding. The rehearsal dinner was held upstairs here and it was lovely and delicious. Impressive bar area with wonderful bartenders. We decided to come back Sat for lunch. What fun! The atmosphere is very retro and the booths are comfy and new. Order at the counter, then sit down. Menu was expansive and reasonably priced. Def order the chicken and dumplings. Lots of seating including outdoor along the street. Worth the visit!!

The fried grits were amazing! Definitely worth stopping at Betsy's!

Always good food and service. My wife loves the gyros! They serve nice sandwich plates and those cakes are so tempting!

Onion rings so good! Husband loved hamburger! Good chicken salad sandwich. Fries made crisp to order. Everyone pleasant. Looking forward to going back to try other menu items.

Wonderful establishment i must say. My family came here for the first time today and i'm impressed. Even though it was around lunch and busy, the wait times to be seated were short (seven minutes). We ordered food and even that showed up rather quickly. Their hamburgers were juicy, fresh, and flavorful. Their chicken wasn't dried out and wonderfully crisp. Portion sizes were just right. Even their deserts were amazing and great for splitting. I may live 45 minutes away but i will definitely take the drive to have such good food again. Great job guys two thumbs up!

The manager of the restraunt is a trained pastry chef who understands taste. This place had multiple variations of classic southern foods in unique ways. I had the grit cakes and fried chicken covered with milk gravy and cheesy scrambled eggs. The grit cakes had just a hint of pimento cheese. I also had the pleasure of arriving just as the cinnamon rolls came out of the oven. These gave a family recepie a run for the money. The diner itself had that drugstore feel and the staff gave you the feeling that if you made a reasonable request they would move time and earth to fulfill it. This was the first breakfast place I have been in a very long time where I had a conversation with owner and the Manger and both of them stopped to check on me. Not me finding them. If you want to try a local place that elevates a southern breakfast just enough to be original without crossing the pretentious line this place is it. 10 out of ten Ohhh and try the bottomless homemade lemonade. It will make you pucker in a good way

Enjoyed lunch. Great service, friendly and efficient staff. The sweet & spicy shrimp was delicious & their "small" chef salad was super and more than I could eat. Beef cabbage soup was so good, we ordered 2 more bowls to take home. Looking forward to many more return visits.

Betsy's food is always great and never disappointing. I do miss having a server come to the table, but I also understand that different times mean different ways of doing things. The staff is still friendly and eager to help.

Their breakfast egg on a brioche roll is wonderful. The chicken salad is good also. They have really tasty home cooked food. I've never seen where that first picture was. We've always sat at a table or both. I was disappointed the last time we went the wait staff did not have a mask on.

We were seated immediately, it helps we were there at 5:15, though. I had a very enjoyable white Zombie ale. The pimento cheese dip with pita chips was delicious. My deep fried chicken livers were the best I've had in a long time. My wife really enjoyed her Betsy burger. The grits casserole was tasty. I really enjoy Betsy 's round the corner. Service was good too.

Food was amazing! Best Gumbo I’ve had in years! Friendly staff. Gave 5 stars because this place deserves it but listen y’all need to do away with the way customers have to order first at the counter. Thank you for a great meal 😊
