Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health

Just moved to New Ellenton SC from High Point NC Oct 2, 23 & I was in a car accident Oct 23, 23. I've been having problem's sleeping due to having dreams about the accident plus mood swings so I went to seek help. I'm depress with PTSD. I don't remember anything after the passenger snatched my steering wheel while I was driving so it's been hard to remember but THANKFUL I DON'T REMEMBER 🙌GOD IS AWESOME. The staff has been a BLESSING so far. Missed 2 appointments but will get to see them on the 23 of Jan. TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Wonderful, informed staff. Didn't feel judged in any way. It's never easy opening up to someone new, but the folks here were supportive and caring.

They know my situation and my health care. They are the best of all time. God is Good.

I attended Lexington MHC for years before moving to Aiken. Needing to resume therapy due to depression, I resumed my treatment here. Everyone is so understanding, kind, compassionate, and professional.

My therapist (Miss Cynthia) is the best I've ever had. I feel she truly listens and provides relevant advice and information, while maintaining a very human connection. I also really like Dr. Sinato. He took his time to listen to me, go through everything and be thorough, and answer any and all questions I had about my medications.

Be prepared to deal with any assortment of people in any various stage of their own personal journeys. Some are extremely rude and like to get into other people's business in the waiting room. Just bring a book, headphones, or something to do and ignore them.

I love them all they're always there when you need the most

My 6 year old has had a rough two years or school filled with transitions and this office has gotten him in and paired him with a team quick. They've even been understanding and worked with us when we have been late to his appointments because of our newborn baby girl.

Everyone treated me very kindly and patiently. I had to wait for a long time, but during that period I was able to observe how they treated each person who walked through their doors. They were loving and considerate to everyone, which was very reassuring to see. Anyone and everyone should feel safe coming here

Wide variety of very helpful, highly educated and especially trained for helping with the day to day challenges of mental health.
It's okay to be human and need help.

Ms. Beasley (psychiatrist) is absolutely amazing. She listens to my concerns and when I have an emergency situation she always makes herself available! She makes me feel comfortable and not judged. She’s so easy to talk to and treats you like a friend - FW314

They're very helpful and love talking to my counselor not met my doctor yet but I'm pretty sure they're going to be awesome.

Never thought I would have benefitted as much as I have by going here. All of the staff I have met are super kind, and my therapist and psych are wonderful people.

Expressed I was uncomfy with a certain person and they immediately help me settle with a new doctor! Amazing service, still visiting! Recommended ^^

Hi there! I am a nurse at Aiken Barnwell Mental Health. I have worked with a team of caring and compassionate people for the past 5 years and I am proud of the work we do everyday!! Did you know that Aiken Barnwell provides psychiatry, nursing services, therapy, care coordination (which helps with doctors appointments and anything else you need), entitlement services (disability, food etc.), housing, crisis response, community care, school based services... the list goes on and on!! At Aiken Barnwell we care about our community and strive to provide teaching, compassionate care and resources to the clients we serve. I always tell clients... you may feel weak for seeking mental health services but I see you as a strong for getting the help you need! Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Strong!

They actually really care n listen to what you say an don't say. I was very impressed by these people. They listen!!
