Do not ever let Ty Carter ever come near you with a scalpel. In 2015 he performed a double discectomy on my lower back. I was assured that everything would be so much better after the bulging discs were removed. Worst mistake of my life. After surgery, i couldn't feel my left leg for months, pain was excruciating. Much worse than before, when i went to get the 26 staples removed i sat in the room for two hours... later found out they forgot i was there. After about 12 months, Carter said the only thing that would help would be a fusion. Desperate for relief and help, i went to midlands ortho in Lexington where i met Karl Lozanne. He did the exact same surgery that Carter did, incision was half the size, stitches instead of staples, no numbness, pain gone almost instantly. Will never trust anyone again so much so that when CMI and Carter was referred for my husband for an upcoming decompression laminectomy because Carter told him a few years ago that he could only have a fusion and he just cant take the pain anymore, i chose to grab the mri disc and report, told the dr to kiss it, and took my husband straight to Midlands to see Lozanne where he decided no fusion was needed and the laminectomy would be better and why. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to carter to get a hangnail removed and i should have sued the pants off of him for malpractice as well as Aiken regional for the screw up of admitting me twice and then removing me twice so that i had no medication when i woke from SURGERY because i wasn't a patient. So while you're in columbia seeing Lozanne, go ahead and have the surgery at Providence Northeast, it's clean, friendly, and they actually take care of you. Didn't see not one stain or one single drop of dried blood on the floor like you do in Aiken. PS, Stay away from CMI, Cater, and Aiken Regional. I should have listened to so many others that told me that before the first surgery. Would have saved myself a year of extra misery.

They are not the Best In-Class Care. Nobody at this location can give me any answers. I am still waiting on MRI results that I was supposed to receive over the phone two days ago. Now they are telling me I have to make an appointment if I want to see my results. I wouldn’t not reccomend coming here.
