Best food in Aiken. Owner very involved. Comes out and personally talks with customers. Willing to please everyone. Come hungry, because portions are very generous. Specials all the time. Seafood caught fresh. Awesome experience.

If you want some great local seafood and steak then the Variety is most definitely the place you need to eat!!! It is my absolute favorite! The seafood is always fresh and is amazing! You can not possibly get a better tasting steak from anywhere else! It is so juicy and good! The staff is always helpful and friendly! The drinks are awesome! The owner is always there also.. Great food and atmosphere!

Doesn't look very fancy from the outside but what a fabulous meal we had. I had the deviled crab dinner with baked potato and salad. Everything was cooked perfectly. Salad was very fresh and crisp. Husband had sea bass which was also excellent. The servers was friendly and attentive. Met the owner who had been there over 40 years. Super nice people. Can't wait to visit again soon!

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant that has been there for years and the owner is Greek,. He is only open Thursday, Friday &Saturday, from 4-9,he also makes his own dressings, along with a couple other things, but the food is DELICIOUS, it's pricey!! But worth it, my friend and I go there maybe 1-2 times a year, we just went and it was 40-45 for each of us,,but so well worth it..✌❤🌻

Awesome fried shrimp special today! 8 large variety shrimp, Cole slaw and fries for $9.65. Mary provided her usual excellent service. I don't get there often enough but when I do it's truly a treat!

Everytime I order I am never disappointed. Each meal is fresh and perfectly made. It's all worth the price and blows places like Outback and Red Lobster out of the water. The staff is very kind and very engaging, and you don't have no long wait. Not to mention the PORTIONS. They don't mess around. They give you what you pay for. I treated me and my friends from work and none of us could finish our meals - we had to take them home. I reccomend this place for all especially those with big families or events. It is a bit costly but Lord KNOWS its worth it.

Seafood was great. Bathrooms is a disgrace, same owner does not spend any money on restaurant build one toliet actually sitting on 2x4. Food is good thats only reason anyone goes but if Aiken every grows enough to have another chocie on northside they will be out of business

This place is fantastic! There is a reason the Variety has been open in Aiken for so long. This is hands down the best seafood and steak in town. Consistently great food and service. Would recommend that everyone try it out once. You'll keep coming back, I guarantee it.

In general all their food is wonderful, however if you are the kind who likes seafood you have to try theirs, it doesn't even matter what you get it will be great! The owner is friendly and will come and ask how everything was. My personal recommendations are the hamburgers for non seafood lovers and scallops or fried shrimp for the seafood fanatic.

We all (4 of us) enjoyed our dinner and our service here. And we were also impressed how All of the staff worked together to accommodate us . Some may think their prices are a little high .... But the Quantity and Quality make up for it . Their food comes from the kitchen not the freezer.

The best seafood hands down!!! Fast service. Food is consistently delicious/ hot & fast!! I'm orginally from the coast, and if I didn't live in Aiken I'd drive to The Variety for it's delicious seafood!! Small quaint atmosphere.

..Excellent food as always. We each had the seafood platter and had to take some home. I've been going to the Variety since the late 60s, before Jimmy Varos took over the restaurant and the quality of the food has been consistently way above average You can't go wrong eating there
