Super 8 by Wyndham Walnut

I stopped in to get a room for the night it was a little bit more expensive than I normally would pay but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bed how nice and neat everything was tidy in place Nice TV cooler to cool your items off and to freeze your little ice packs if you want.

Pleasantly surprised. We travel with our kitty and often get rooms that stink of pet odor (aka the "pet friendly bedroom curse" lol), but this room didn't have any funky smells and was very clean and well maintained. The room was huge, the beds were very comfortable. They don't charge a pet fee either which is a plus. The outdoor area is very relaxing in the morning. Customer service was good too.

Newer hotel from the looks of it. Beds were so soft and comfortable. Desk staff was efficient and breakfast is from 6-10. Good range for early risers and for those needing to sleep if they arrived late in the evening. Service was polite and timely.

We had a fantastic stay here! Deb was fantastic and very accommodating. When we travel, the most important thing to us is that we stay at pet-friendly locations. Our dogs always travel with us. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was fantastic, and we really appreciated the tile floors in the pet friendly rooms! Though accidents have never been an issue when we travel with our dogs, we do have some slobbery water drinkers, and it was nice to be able to keep the room clean. The room itself was large and had everything we needed (fridge, microwave, and comfortable beds). We've been traveling to this part of Iowa for 3 generations now, and always stayed at the same hotel, but when that hotel recently restricted pets, we had to find somewhere new. This hotel is now our go-to place to stay! Thank you to Deb for giving us all the information we needed before and during our stay!

Great place. Rooms are very clean and very quiet. Comfy beds. Diane, who checked us in, was extraordinary! She went out of her way to help us out. All 3 staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

We needed some extra room due to traveling with four big kids. The room with three beds, couch and spacious floor was wonderful. Even though this hotel was an older one, it was very clean & well kept. We only slept there so have no idea what else they offer. But if u need a place to crash this is it.

Awesome hotel! Pet friendly. Updated clean rooms. Comfy beds and good breakfast. Couldn't ask for anything more! Also it has a nice little restaurant in walking distance and a gas station.

We moved from CA to PA so had all our pets along for the ride. We stayed at Super 8 the entire way because we knew they are pet friendly. This one is extremely pet friendly. Their pet room are on the first floor. They are close to the doors for easy walking and best of all NO CARPET. We didn't have to worry about accidents or upset stomachs. Honestly I don't know why all pet friendly motels don't offer no carpet rooms. Anyway, the Super 8 in Walnut should be the model for all pet friendly motels. The staff was super friendly and their complimentary breakfast had all kinds of goodies none of the others had. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Without a doubt the best Super 8 we stayed in.

My fiance and our dogs stayed here overnight on our way to Colorado. I've never heard of Walnut before but it was very pretty. The room was clean with plenty of towels. There is a restaurant next door with good food as well. It was nice to have a real meal instead of just fast food.

Very reasonably priced and the room (a pet friendly one) was super clean and comfortable! The building was also clean and well kept up. There was also a nice lawn outside for a quick dog walk. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful hotel experience. South Asian American immigrants seeking their own version of the American Dream run this great hotel. The whole family helped us get out of a bind involving a broke-down trailer on a Level B service road at the bottom of a steep hill and a sudden spring rainfall on a Friday after 5 pm. We were picked up 20 minutes from the hotel by the staff in their own personal vehicle because we could not transport ourselves to the hotel and no taxi, Lyft, or Uber service was available. the hotel was clean, run by a friendly family. A nice experience to clean clothes and get a fresh start in the morning. Another member of the family, Mr. Daveda drove us back in his personal car while his newborn son and wife covered his shift at the lobby.

Checked in last after driving for awhile. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and accommodating! The rooms were a little outdated but clean. I would recommend if your just passing through.

Very inexpensive. Large, clean rooms. Pets stay free but call ahead because limited pet rooms. Pet rooms have vinyl tile flooring rather than carpet. Quiet. Friendly staff.

Large rooms, clean, pool that Is open till 11, breakfast from 6-10 am. Free WiFi and a great staff what more could you ask for. And a comfortable bed. And kids under 17 stay free.

This super 8 literally sets the highest standard of superb cleanliness, immense beyond spacious rooms, and excellent customer service for the west side of the USA between Seattle, Washington and Chicago, Illinois. I have never stayed in a more comfortable hotel for the price. They are pet friendly, have a nice indoor pool, offer military discounts and give you a fantastic hot breakfast (not just your standard Eggo waffles, yogurt and cinnamon rolls). If you're trekking I-80 this is the best place to stay.

Wonderful staff! He was very accommodating and pleasant. We arrived at 11 pm. Very clean, the bed was nice. We would stay again.

I got stuck in Walnut Iowa because my tractor broke down. It was a relaxing experience. The town has less than 1000 inhabitants. There was only 1 restaurant. I felt as if I had traveled to the past. I loved it. The locals were gathered in an adjacent hall where they were playing folk music. They were a friendly lot. I will return one day after I visit Walnut Grove, Minnesota

Very nice sweet staff. Comfy beds, clean rooms, big spacious. Deal!!! They honor AAA discount with card. Would stay here again ☆☆☆☆☆

Diane was really friendly. She even warmed up our room for us before we got there on a really cold night. Nice clean room.
