JJ's Steak & Pizza House

After a subpar experience at another restaurant, we went here close to closing and explained out situation, they had our meal cooked and ready in less than ten minutes. Everyone was understanding and helpful, and they really salvaged the evening for us. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. The people were the best, friendly, accommodating, and willing to help. Great place highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite places in Alpena. They consistently have good food and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is also very cozy, the lighting isn't super bright and they have booths and tables. The servers are always friendly and on top of their game!!! Also they have some of the best fries in the area!

Crowded on a Monday night but still fast service and undoubtedly one of the BEST pizzas I've ever had! (Chicken Bacon Ranch). Kathy had a turkey cheese hoagie (not turkey lunch meat but REAL roast turkey). She says it was also delicious 😋🤤. I took half of the small pizza ($13.99) home and we had it for lunch today while camping at Campers Cove just a few miles outta town

Looking for a nice place by Alpena give JJ's a try. They were busy on a Monday night so be prepared to have a little wait but the food is worth the wait. I had whitefish with homemade tartar sauce, my wife said walleye was great, The spaghetti with meatballs was huge and my daughter said the cheeseburger and fries was outstanding. Server was very nice and took care of us. Some pretty cool decor inside as well including the giant alligator behind the bar!

Excellent pizza. Lots of toppings covered the top crust to crust. Fast service. We did carry-out so I can't comment on the atmosphere. We will be back!

Wonderful. Great steaks! Went Back the next day to sample breakfast. Heard it was one of the best in the area. No lie - eggs, bacon, and the homemade bread toast was exceptional. To top it off the coffee was good.

I found my favorite dishes here. A block from my home. Always great service. For some reason their hot tea is just the best steeped stuff. Recommend Thanksgiving there.

My family came here as a party of 12. We came on the 4th of July and despite the restaurant being busy we got greeted and sat right away with extremely prompt service. The food was absolutely delicious and our server Jeffrey was amazing! Very friendly and accommodating.

Michigan Fruit salad with shrimp was delicious. Build your own pizza was loaded. The spinach Alfredo pizza was surprisingly good.

The restaurant has a great ambiance with real stuffed animals that have been hunted by the owner. The wait staff is awesome and the wait is never long. Have a wonderful selection of food and their pizza is to die for❣ Even when we take out the food, we love our JJ's❣

I was there for a funeral luncheon and we also ordered pizza at a separate time. All of the food was absolutely great.

Stopped in Alpena to stay the night, ordered late night pizza, VERY TASTY PIZZA, great delivery time and total interaction was great. Keep it up, we will be back!

Hunter's paradise. Looks like a Hunter's den. Service was excellent. Loved the steak. My wife ordered ribs which I also helped myself too! Glad I did. Off the bone delicious.

I usually order delivery from here. The food is really good, they are usually really nice about customized things unless they are super busy which is understandable. Fast delivery. I absolutely recommend the crab rangoons and dipping sauce. It's worth bickering over the last of the sauce. (If they sold it by the bottle I'd buy it)

My food was excellent as an appetizer we got the fried pickles which they make their were amazing. The ribs and alfredo had great flavor and all the staff we re very friendly. I would decently reccomend going here.

Very good dinner. We all had the 4 pc. Cod fish dinner . The soup was very good. Homemade. Server was great, happy and smiling and making it a wonderful night. Also had Austin brothers beer.

Chicken bacon ranch definitely a great choice. The waitress from Florida awesome lady great service thank you. Pizza was awesome 3 hours later.
