This place is great. When I arrived, there was a problem with my hotel reservation, and I didn't expect it to turn out well when the only person to talk to was the bar tender below the hotel. The hotel proved to be better than expected, the bar tender did a great job with the booking, and then manager who was off site that day quickly took care of the problem the next morning. This is a fun place to stay, and I am happy to recommend it to someone looking for a hotel in the area.

Awesome place. Historical, so yes it is old, but rooms are clean and huge and well stocked with coffee and toiletries. Our room even had a back door just in case you need to make a quick escape from outlaws.

I did not expect to love this lodge so much! To start, I was greeted by the owner, who is incredibly sweet, and he gave us the necessary information for the lodge as well as the town itself. We booked the honeymoon suite and I was incredibly happy once I walked in. The room is so comfy and clean. The amenities are great, the claw foot tub an incredible addition, and the TVs are big and perfect for snowy movie nights. Also, the Mountain View is incredible! Overall I could not say more positive things about the hotel and would recommend it to anybody!

Rooms were spacious, loved the game room, and there was Truffles the baby raccoon (personal highlight). The town itself was also very enjoyable to stay in.

I eat here whenever I’m in town. I appreciate that it is family owned and operated. I also like the local sourcing-makes it understandable when they are out of a certain items- the food always tastes fresh and homemade-a refreshing change from the GMO factory food movement. The staff has always been courteous and helpful- such a great place!

Great hotel in downtown Afton WY. Reminds me of an old school establishment. Great dining area and an even better bar.

We had a two night stay here and loved it! We had a queen room and it was clean, comfy, and had a home-like atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and great to help. On our 2nd night we ate at the restaurant downstairs. It was very good! Our fabulous server, Shelby, and the manager, Lauren, were great to do everything they could to make sure we had a good experience. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

What a fun antique hotel. It is very nice very clean and well maintained. If you are lucky you may get a visit from long term residents from days gone by.
We make a trip to Afton every Summer this will be our lodging of choice moving forward.

The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We were lucky to get the last room the night we stayed in Afton, Sept 17, 2020. The value was so much better than overpriced Jackson, WY. Linda, the housekeeping manager, was super nice and wanted to make sure our stay was nice. We had a great breakfast - chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hash browns, and biscuit in the hotel restaurant. You certainly don't go away hungry and one of the owners, Barry, refilled our coffee cups and took time to chat with us. He introduced us to the other owner, Ken, and they both told us about some great hiking ideas in the Grand Tetons. Next time we head up to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, we will definitely look to come back to Colters Lodge. Great value; nice, comfortable, and clean accommodations; friendly staff and owners. Can't beat that!

Stayed one night after LotoJa with the family. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We even had help bringing items to our room. The room was charming, clean and the A/C was icy cold and extremely quiet. We had a great night's sleep and in the morning we had a delicious breakfast at the Cafe. I ordered a fruit cup and not only was the fruit perfect, the presentation was beautiful.

Awesome food, great staff, fun patrons to talk to! Would highly recommend! Don't know much about the lodging, but felt the food and drink were awesome and reasonably priced! Also, I hear their bloody Mary's are amazing and I'm going to check them out tomorrow morning, when they open! :-)

We loved it all! We were in town to visit family and they recommended Colter's so we could all get together in the restaurant and the bar while the kids visited with their cousins in the room just upstairs. It was GREAT! We upgraded to the three bed suite and it was perfect. We were treated so good by everyone, we especially liked the cleaning ladies :-)! Beautiful place, good food, great service, we really had a wonderful stay!
