Fantastic temple! Really a highlight of Star Valley!

The Star Valley Wyoming Temple is a sacred structure built and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It was announced by the church's president, Thomas S. Monson, on October 1, 2011, during the church's semiannual general conference. The temple is located in Afton, Wyoming, in the scenic Star Valley region.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the temple took place on April 25, 2015, and the construction process followed. The temple was designed in a style reminiscent of the area's pioneer heritage, featuring a blend of historical and modern architectural elements.

The dedication of the Star Valley Wyoming Temple occurred on October 30 and November 1, 2016, in a series of sessions conducted by church leaders. It marked the official opening of the temple for sacred ordinances and worship services.

The temple serves as a place of worship, reflection, and religious ceremonies for LDS Church members in the Star Valley region and beyond. It holds significant spiritual and cultural importance to the local community and the broader Latter-day Saint faith.

The temple is small and beautiful. It is so cute you want to put your arms around it and hug it and squeeze its cheeks. The people of Afton are excellant and so helpful.

Beautiful, helpful workers, and the sidewalks are heated which is so nice in the winter (which takes up most of the year here haha!)

This temple is beautiful and small, nestled in a beautiful small valley. It was fun to watch this building come together.

Beautiful temple, placed in an excellent spot, and with excellent landscaping. I definitely recommend this temple, the immediate area alone is enough to provide solace, even next to a busy road.

Loved being at the temple and having the chance to be sealed there. The temple workers were all absolutely amazing and extremely nice and helpful. Amazing environment and enjoyed every minute being there.

Came here with my family last April so my Mom Dad, and Brother could go to temple things. While I, Not an active member of the church waited outside and got some pretty amazing pictures! My brother got one an so did I!

Beautiful temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints right off the highway in Afton, Wyoming. It doesn't have a visitors center but you are welcome to wander the grounds. They do a great job of keeping the place looking great.

When I was little we only had a handful of temples and we liked it. We loved it! Today's kids don't appreciate how good they have it with beautiful temples practically on every corner. Keep them coming!

Awesome place. The air is just so calm and peaceful here. The grounds are beautiful, the architecture is gorgeous, and the people that go there as well as work there are one of a kind.
