The only thing I ordered so far is the pork candy. It was a delicious pork belly in an amazing sticky sauce. My mother got a couple sides ( baked potato and an order of green beans) they both were delicious as well. Prices on the menu seemed good. I really want to go back and set down and enjoy a meal. The inside looked beautiful.

Fantastic from start to finish! I found myself in the area today with no real plan. Happily I was hungry a couple of friends recommended SSG! The place was busy but I was sat quickly and the friendly waitress was ready with recommendations! Everything was delicious and I was happily full but then I heard the waitress tell the desserts to another table and I needed the pumpkin ice cream pie! It. Was. Huge! But probably the best dessert I’ve ever eaten! I thought I would need to be rolled out after indulging so much but the waddle to my car was so worth it! I can’t wait to come back!

Went to The South Street Grille in Ashland for dinner on a busy Saturday evening and the place was packed with people with about a 30-minute wait for a table. The restaurant is over two floors and fortunately there was plenty of room at the bar located in the downstairs area so I was able to get right in. They had two bartenders working the bar and would tag-team the customers (something I wish more restaurants would do). Despite being extremely busy, I had virtually no wait for my drink and food order. I ordered the meatloaf with fries, something I would never usually have at a tavern-style restaurant. By my timing, the food should always be served by the time I'm finishing my first drink. I was again surprised by the speed--the food came out well before that first drink was gone. The three generous slabs of meatloaf were hot and tender, topped with a BBQ sauce instead of traditional ketchup. Very delicious! The fries were perfect as well. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My two bartenders/servers checked in on me throughout the meal and offered more drinks every time my glass got shorter. The place was so busy it was difficult to take in the decor, but I did note it was very clean (including the restrooms) and the general vibe was similar to a sports bar. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. The food was excellent and the servers/kitchen brought their A-game. The price was on par with other restaurants of this type. I'll definitely be back again (at a less busy lunch time) to see the rest of the restaurant and try out some more traditional items.

Went there for the first time last night. What a fun place! The live entertainment was a nice surprise, the food was excellent, our waitress was excellent. The outside eating was just perfect. We definitely recommend this, and will definitely come again.

Always great here and so many options. We have vegans and regular meat eaters and always something to choose. Great place if in Ashland. We will be back many times over.

100% some of the best food in Ohio. The Brisket Grilled Cheese is amazingly good. My daughter said the same thing about the Sloppy Piggy Pileup. You gotta try the Meat Candy appetizer. Our waitress was so happy and helpful. This was a pleasant discovery while vacationing in Ohio. If we're ever back in the area it will be on our list to return to.

Absolutely love everything about this place! We came here after a bad experience in a restaurant and had the best service and food ever! And me as a celiac who can’t eat gluten, they had such a huge variety of food to eat, dessert included. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting good food, and a good atmosphere!!

Fantastic dining experience! We had a waitress being trained and still the service was unbeatable! Every dish ordered was full of fresh flavors and colors. Be careful ordering dessert! You will want to try them all.

Everything about this restaurant was definitely a 5 star dining experience both times I’ve been there! There is a huge outdoor patio on the premises which is open with live musicians during the summer months! I have nothing bad to say at all! I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful night out!

Found this place on a fluke. It is a gem to say the least everything was fantastic, and the service was on point. It's good to know it's not too far of a drive from the house. We will definitely return. I would definitely suggest the Burgers and the Brown Butter Cake they were absolutely perfect, and if you do appetizers, I would suggest the meat candy. This gem opened in 2020and has already won several awards!

Wow I was so impressed by the quality of the food. This is my first time here and will be returning. The flavor of the food was great and the meat was juicy. We had a table of 12 and the service was great as well. The outdoor patio looks like a great summer spot, I look forward to coming back.

Heard great things about about the food, so I stopped in for lunch. It did not disappoint. The South Street burger was awesome, bacon, bacon jam, and Bleu cheese, cooked medium. Just half of the burger would've filled me up, but of course I had to clean my plate. 😄

Definitely get the TOTS, they were legit. Crispy on outside, soft and tender inside. Food came out super fast. Friendly welcome and great service. A+

Great food, cool atmosphere. The quality of food is that of a high class restaurant but at a much better price. Highly recommend the rack of ribs - very delicious! The brisket rolls appetizers are unique and quite good! Don’t miss the brown butter cake with ice cream for desert!

Nice, cozy, clean place with excellent food and friendly staff. We got there at 330 before a rush came in, and given the quality of the food and service, I'm not surprised that it got that busy. Would recommend their sticky ribs and baked beans!

Always amazing food and amazing service. You can’t go wrong when you come here. We come here at least weekly as a family and at least once a week on a lunch date kid free because the food is so great. The Brussel sprouts are my kids favorites and mine and I could eat them every day. The Buffalo dip is top notch and the steaks are perfectly cooked. Love this place.

We ordered the SSG tots app. Fantastic! pulled pork, Mac and cheese dinner. Meatloaf and slaw. Slow smoked in house. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Finished it off with the cream brulee. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Beautiful back patio,can't wait to go back to enjoy the view.

5 ⭐ plus 1......1st of all the atmosphere is very nice and classy. Then you meet the staff and everyone is very friendly and more than happy to help you. We sat in the lower level seating area where the bar area is and had Mikayla for a server and she was a 10 out of 10 for manners and attentiveness. The food here is absolutely amazing and we frequent cheescake factory a lot and now thanks to this place we will be switching it up to frequenting here a lot. 1 hour less of a drive each way, food is fantastic and you're supporting local business. Can't believe they have been here 2 years and it's taken us this long to become aware of this place. Our loss for the last 2 years. You can't go wrong with this place.

The food was very good. They also have patio seating which was really nice!
