Decent Mexican Food. Cali Fries could have had a bit more flavor or seasoning, but everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh.
Shredded Beef Taco was "on point"!! Super flavourful & she'll was fried perfectly.
The chips & salsa bar are a nice touch, and the patio was nice to enjoy the SLO weather.

Great & efficient service of delicious food in generous portions. Grilled fish tacos were seasoned beautifully & were filled with big pieces of fish, topped with a flavorful salad of red cabbage, mango & jalapeños. Burritos were really big--though a tighter wrap would make them less messy to eat--less fun too maybe;)

We had the shrimp burrito, fish burrito, and one of the combos with two fish tacos and one shrimp taco. All were very tasty and fresh including the beans and rice that came with the combo.

Chicho's is a great place to get lunch at. They have a taquito special that is delicious and economical. Today I ordered the crunchy taco plate. I love their crunchy tacos! It came with 3 tacos and rice and beans. You have to try their chips! They are made in house and are light and crispy. (Can you tell?I'm a big fan of crunch!) They have a red salsa that is my favorite. If you prefer something on the medium or mild side, their salsa bar has got you covered.

It's been several years since I've been here. When I lived down the street this was a go to spot and always got a Downtown Burrito. They went downhill for a bit with their other (since closed) location on santa Rosa.

But they have done a great job making super fresh food. The food is better than ever and they make it how you want. Their menu only said breaded fish but we asked if they could do grilled. They did and it was so good. It should be a regular menu item. Also it was great to find out that they prep and cook it there in house. Great local restaurant with super fresh and delicious food.

Great soft grilled fish and shrimp tacos - we found this place by accident. The tacos were great. All fresh topping on the tacos. The guacamole was good as well. Chips were not included w the guacamole, but it was ok only $2+.

Their food is made fresh servings are good size and they have a salsa bar so help yourself.

I always get the Wet burritos chili verde with extra sauce. They are huge amd takes 2 sittings to finish. They chamged owners but kept mostly the same menu. Cashier ladies are very sweet. Oh and the chips and salsa are yummy too!

Great service! We were traveling and didn't realize places in SLO close rather early, we were able to get there with about 5 minutes to spare. They were so friendly and accommodating even though they were near closing for the night. Our tacos, burrito, guac, and salsa were delicious!

Taco Tuesday special. Tried the Chili Verde Taco in soft corn tortillas. Street taco size but excellent taste and not spicy(a must for me). Price is right.
Also, had shredded chicken hard shell( my regular), always a great dinner.
Service is order at counter, served by staff at table. Always friendly & welcoming. Excellent family business!

Delicious Mexican food with tons of salsas, specializing in seafood. The battered fish tacos had lots of mangoes, pico, and cabbage on top. My fajita burrito was solid. Food was cooked pretty quickly and staff are helpful.

Nice update to one of my favorite mex food places. I think they might be the same owners as Taco Roco, the hot salsa was exactly the same. But the portion sizes are much bigger and the atmosphere has gone away from "diner".

Definitely our new favorite burrito spot in SLO. Everything is sooooo goooooood. They're super nice there too, a good clean spot with a great menu. We had pastor chichos burritos, one of them chimichanga style. And the best churros 🤤

Over the years tons of restaurants have come and gone in San Luis Obispo. That's par for the course in a tourist/college town. But Taco Roco is a long time Mexican staple in town. They have excellent options in a wide variety. And you'll find everything at a great price. They have a couple of locations in the area. This particular one has converted a few parking spaces into a park lit where you can eat outdoors and they have indoor dining as well and a small patio. They're tacos are fantastic but this time I got the enchiladas and they were great as well. Highly recommend if you're ever looking for Mexican food in town.

Why travel far away into the heart of Mexico when you can enjoy tasty cuisine with a family vibe rich in good recipes. Same great flavor, now Chichos! The salsa bar is icing on the cake!

Yummy and satisfying food. I got stuffed on the chicken quesadilla supreme. Very clean restaurant and very kind people work here. All around comforting place to enjoy Mexican food well worth the price.

Best Mexican food in the 805. Staff is super nice and good with my kids. Bathrooms are always stocked and clean

Went there for their daily special consisting of 2 delicious fish tacos under $10 breaded fish of course and it was delicious! People were very hospitable there and most of all, they have a laundry list of delicious options to choose from!
