A grocery store with beautiful fresh fruits and veggies as you walk into the store they could available as well as fresh cooked food daily fried Chicken meal combos fresh baked bread in the bakery/deli area... household items : cups bowls plates Cutlery plastic and silver .... also available beach-ready items like chairs coolers ice packs ice snacks fresh fruit cups and Deli items- sandwiches prepackaged... weekly sales and a discount card as well ....spacious grocery aisles ....grocery carts available for usage, and handbasket as well . indoor restroom facility . friendly staff ...good lighting...air conditioning through out the building... ample parking... comparable to Publix at home(Florida) the aisles are a spacious cheese baked goods Dairy not to exclude ice cream chocolate vanilla and a large assortment of other flavors as well and the Apple drinks are also available just like here in the Mainland just to give a few examples

Store is always clean. I especially like the produce department. Nice selection of fruits and vegetables.
I am always impressed with the cashiers. They really do have a difficult job but they are always courteous and extremely helpful.

May God bless you for carrying grass-fed leg of lamb. It is a most precious food that I add to my rotation of meats. Your organic purple cabbage and organic orange sweet potatoes are also excellent (although pricey compared to organic competition), perhaps the best I have found. Your superior rating with food ends there for me, though. Whole Foods Market is the best. Your fresh produce is a bit pricey compared to Whole Foods Market. You may want to consider carrying more organic produce so that you can have higher quality fresh produce, such as a larger OR ONLY selection of organic fresh produce. Organic is the way to a healthier now and future, and if you made larger orders of organic foods, organic food producers may offer the foods to you at lesser cost, allowing for greater competition with Whole Foods Market. Thanks for being good, and I hope you become great, as competition in food service is good.

Safeway Salt Lake found my cell phone and returned it!!! THANK YOU SAFEWAY Customer Service!
On Fri. 3/31/23, I somehow left my cell phone at Safeway in Salt Lake. Didn't realized it was missing at first. When realized, thought I'd left it in my car. I called my cell# Fri., went to VM. It was late so I decided to check car the next day. Later Saturday, I received a call from my missing cell #.

Strange!- if its in the my locked car, how was Safeway Cust. Srv. calling saying they have my cell phone.? How is it that they could call me as my phone has a lock on the display?
He explained they found my phone and were able to research my Safeway membership account then did Emergency call.
Thank you Safeway- for putting forth extra effort to return my phone! It's greatly appreciated!!! Cuddos to the guy in CS! (Sorry forgot his name. (Starts w/ J - I think)

2nd Story - Earlier that week on Wednesday I bought V&S chicken wings. Pre-package in a Brown bag and taped closed with the price sticker. Get home prepared rest of my dinner, then opened bag pored chicken wings on my plate from the back and every piece was crispy -crackely black burnt.

Call Safeway asked the speak to the manager. Rosie came to the phone. I explained situation to her and asked do we need to start opening the bags and checking the chicken before purchasing??? She said "that should not be necessary and she would take care of the situation and speak to the people working the Chicken section". I returned to Safeway in Salt Lake to return the chicken wings, spoke with Rosie- the Store manager. She made good on her word to take care of things - I was able to get another meat dish for my dinner, at a reasonable price.

Safeway at Salt Lake Shopping Center usually has everything a cook needs. Safeway gives free membership cards for great special discounts, and if you have a Safeway card, you also earn gas discount points. Open until 2am so shopping with no crowds is awesome.

Beretania Safeway has been remodeling for a few months, but the changes are coming along pretty awesome! They even added a hot deli section...

Shantel, a store manager, who is always helpful, happened to be in the deli when we stopped by. She always seems so upbeat and willing to do what she can to help the customers have a great experience!

You can still see my original review below, however the store called to apologize for the disconnect in attentiveness and forwarded me to the Albertson's corporate offices where I was assured that there is no such policy about not helping clients who are desperately seeking assistance finding their mobile phones. I was assured that the person who misinformed me was new, and this may have been a policy from another company. I was also assured that Daniel would be noted and recognized as going above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me. Thanks for the follow up, Safeway/Albertson's!

I have a contradictory review. The store only gets a 1 as I was informed that if a client loses their mobile, the staff are not permitted to call it. Fortunately, as it was well after midnight, they had a little wiggle room to be human. Thank you especially to Daniel H! Also calling the number is useless if you would like to speak to administration. It leaves you listenening to music, then rings a bit, and then hangs up. This, in and of itsef, is unforgiveable. I wanted to praise David for helping me find my phone in the darkened churchgrounds where I had dined, but I was afraid he would be reprimanded instead. If no one had helped me, i would be out a thousand dollar phone and i would never be shopping at Safeway again. Yay David and the late shift!!! Booo Safeway's ill executed and utterly lacking in aloha company protocols.

A great experience with products and employees. Also clean and organized. I'm used to shopping Vons in southern California, so this store is a lot smaller than I'm used to. But it still carries all the basic necessities you might need. I came for some foods/snacks for a night of bbq and found everything I needed. Their cookies are super yummy!!

A beacon of light and hope for those night owls who might feel the need for food or grocery items. Open 24/7 with good parking and staff, on gang!

Clean and well stocked. Only the bakery department seem to be lacking there's no specialty cake ordering available. The organic fruits vegetables section is Stellar I love it.

New edit October 9th 2022. I am so humbled an honoured. Went to grab breaky and didn't have cash pr card to pay. I fabulous no one i ever met. covered my $25 grocery bill and told me go. Wow! Now yes i have covered others. Heck i do it all the time ( probably why broke half the time. But WOW. To be on the receiving end was amazing a a tear jerker. Dont know who you are but you're an angel in my eyes. God is good and real. Thank you for a unique experience. xoxo

Safeway in the salt lake shopping center is unparalleled, the customer service, the selection the convenience it's all there. Come on through Safeway salt lake shopping center.

I came here 30 minutes before closing to get some last minute flowers for my mother in law for her birthday unfortunately the florist lady wasn’t there to wrap the flowers. But the employee Kent was there to help me out he was working as a cashier but he went out of his way to help me make the bouquet of flowers to look nice and neat.

Nice Safeway good place to get munchies if your staying on the bulivard. Crazy parking lot try to park on top on the store it's less trouble there is a lot up there.

Great store. A little bit older than others, but it is more simple to navigate and find the items that you need. Has everything that you could possibly need from your local grocery store. Friendly, cheerful and helpful staff.

Tend to find what I need at this location vs. the location near my home. Staff have been friendly and helpful. Their shelves are usually well stocked when I visit in the early mornings.
