Good prices on tools. For someone who needs a specific tool once in a while, this is an affordable option. This staff was very friendly. I found everything I needed and some things I didn't know I needed until I saw it.

I have great luck every time I go there for any type of tools that I'm looking for I've had good luck with the tools I bought there and I usually do put the insurance on them just in case they break. But it is a great place to shop if you don't have a ton of money to spend on expensive tools.

This is my home tool store. The employees are great. Their membership program is fantastic and pays for itself the same day. I’m a mechanic and my tools are very important. If my tools break or have an issue I exchange them for a new one. They have never given me trouble or any negativity about using their exchange program and I am very grateful for their customer service at the Rockland, Maine store.

I know i shouldn't give this place 5 stars because there is a lot of just plain junk being sold there, but it is being sold way below competitors in the area and some of it is really good. Whole sections of the internet are devoted to what to buy and not buy at HFT and ever greater fun is the section on how to take a mediocre HFT tool and with time and ingenuity make it into something useful ( google Harbor Freight bench plane or Harbor Freight vibratory parts tumbler- I dare ya ,-for examples). This is your stop for "single use tools" and expendables like sandpaper, epoxy, grinder wheels, and ratchet straps. Great place for hammers, clamps, hobby tools of all kinds, and flashlights. I would avoid precision tools like calipers or carpenter squares and edge tools may not last long under everyday use. Read the reviews and know what you are buying . Some times its worth it to pay up for a trusted brand name tool. For everything else there is HFT. Go there. Manage your expectations, have fun. I go there lots and have my own faves list of things to never buy anywhere else (and things never to buy at all) If you are a weekend warrior or a Maker this could be your place. Kudos to new stores in Maine for really stepping up on customer service. Improvement is noted and appreciated.

I had great custom service today when I wanted a specific battery operated lawn mower.
The supervisor went out back and located the item, a charger and battery for me. I was out in no time.
Really made the experience a good one!

Almost universally friendly and helpful staff, if a bit overbearing at times. Products are priced very cheaply, almost always, and their warranty service, though brief, is extremely forgiving and easy to make use of. Watch for occasional coupons!

Always fun to shop at, have just about any tools you might need (and even more you probably don't).

It's great to finally have one in Augusta. The prices are great, big selection of all types of tools. The staff is also great, had a great experience with Nate,very helpful. Love this place.

It is always fun to go to this store. They have a great selection of tools. They have security items, safes, automotive tools, and products. They have generators and some camping supplies.
There is a membership club available for a fee. This can get you more deals and coupons for even more lower prices.

Wonderful experience!! Cashier was friendly, knew where items were and what was in stock. Our compressor was brought up on a dolly and then they helped load it into our car! We will be back!

It's made in China, but at least they go good for their warranty.

A large variety of tools and at a fair price I went to Lowe's to buy a diesel fuel can and it was $54 for a 5 gallon can I went to harbor freight and it was $24.99 for a diesel fuel can, I feel they are fair priced
