Definitely worth visiting. If you enter from Stenje you pay 200MKD (~3€). Road is not in best condition, but the view is spectacular. Breathtaking.

Great park with some nice hiking and beaufitul driving through the mountains. The road is not too steep and quite wide, compared to many roads in Albania. There are some potholes but there is enough space to go around. Entrance fee was 200 MKD, collected at the bottom. Payment was cash or credit card.

I love that mountain. Looking down, the views are breathtaking and it is partially kept clean, but some random people (not hired by the city of Ohrid) in random times of the year decide to charge for entry (and they charge a lot), but that's not at the very beginning of the road. You can just park somewhere before reaching that point. Other than that, Galicica is really beautiful and worth visiting. You may also stumble upon friendly farmers with their cows, just watch out for the dogs.

Beautiful national park. Rented a scooter in Ohrid town and rode up from Lake Ohrid and then down to Lake Prespa. Some great viewpoints and short hikes

GALICICA - NATIONAL PARK in MACEDONIA - Is one of the places in Macedonia where you can see the beautiful Panorama of the whole Ohrid Lake and its surrounding landscapes because it is located on the upper part of the mountain. This is not only a place for nature lover and sport minded enthusiasts but also for hobby landscape and nature photographers.

Beautiful nature, very clean everywhere. Hiked from Trpejca to Sv. Spas and then to Peshtani. Quite hard walk in winter but you will get some very nice views on lake and mountains.

Went to the view point on top of the mountain with a breath taking view. This was the first view of the whole lake Ohrid and it was amazing. Glad to pay 200 Macedonian denar to enter the National park that provided the viewpoint. I recommend everyone who is at lake Ohrid to go to the viewpoint you can take pictures of the whole lake and the road you took to get there.

Awesome place. Road is super small , enough for 2 cars to barelly pass eachother and you pay 2 euro to travel here. At the top there is a beautiful view which lets you see the whole lake. Definitely worth visiting .Also most paragliding tours start here so it is amazing to look at !

Take a look at my pictures and judge for yourself. The nature and the views od Lake Ohrid are out of this world. The road going from lake Ohrid to lake Prespa is a biker's heaven with fresh asphalt (i was there on sept 2021) on the eastern side as you descend towards the lake Prespa.

A beautiful nature! Very nice trail to the highest peak Magaro, the trail isn't too hard or too long, so everybody can hike along it. From peak Magaro you have a magnificent sight on two brilliant lakes, Ohrid lake on one side, and on another Prespa lake. The view is so beautiful and charming.

Interesting trees, scents, and flora in the way up to the hiking trails past allotments, vineyards, and occasional dump sites (unfortunately common) Views are really worth it and if you like trees, you won't be disappointed with the variety of species.

👍👍👍The National Park Galicica is situated on Mount Galicica, that is a part of the mountain range of Sara-Pind. Due to its exceptional natural beauty and extremely opulent and endemic flora and fauna, in 1958 the Macedonian section of the mountain was proclaimed a National Park. The Park covers an area of 227 km2 between the Lakes of Ohrid and Prespa, and it stretches in a meridian direction. The main geological surface on the major part of Mount Galicica are Paleozoic metamorphic silicates covered with 500-550 m horizons of massive limestone that have spongy structure and are highly porous. The massif has developed relief with large and deep valleys and a vast mountain crest that in the southern part of Galicica reaches the altitude of more than 2,000 m.

Such relief, as well as the vicinity of the two Lakes enable continuous, extremely long and beautiful scenic views for visitors. Galicica enjoys moderate Continental climate influenced by a large quantity of water from both Lakes and the hot Sub-Mediterranean influences that break through the relatively low mountain saddles in Albania. In addition to the extraordinary natural beauty and aesthetic values, Galicica is also a unique environment with well-preserved natural flora in several ecosystems. The flora in the National Park Galicica covers more than 800 species, among which there are numerous relict and endemic forms whose farthest limit of distribution is Mount Galicica itself.

The presence of eleven local endemic forms discovered so way is quite remarkable. These forms exist only on the slopes of the Mount Galicica, and are clear evidence of the specific floral structure of the mountain. It should be underlined that there is an on-going intensive research of the flora in the Park. There are indications of an even greater number of endemic forms. The fauna on Galicica is also prolific and diverse. There are no precise data about the number of invertebrate species. Vertebrates are present with 170 species: 10 amphibians, 18 reptiles, 124 birds, and 18 mammals.
