I don’t think that there can be a better ski resort to spend with your family! The entertaining areas for children of all ages are amazing from the water slides, to the jungle room and video game room! Amazing breakfast , the rooms are renovated to the highest standards and really pays off if you pay the little extra to get the bigger suite if you are a family. Endless spa and saunas according to your taste! The infinity pool with the jacuzzi is a dream ! The stuff at the reception are extremely helpful and professional!

An overall great experience and would absolutely revisit. Positives: you’re walking distance to the ski slopes (and can rent equipment on site w/ your own ski locker included), great views, huge spa area, the restaurants are great, the service is absolutely fantastic and friendly, nice gym for working out. Opportunities: the previous reviews about the rooms are accurate. Make sure you get one of the new ones to have the best experience. Ours did feel a little bit dated and noise travels easily between rooms. Really important: the place has a ton of amenities, so if you speak English only, really make sure the reception person/people clearly explain what’s included not included. We found out about a number features too late to take advantage of

Also, we did the food and wine pairing option. HIGHLY recommend. Overall, the place is absolutely worth a visit and it was the staff that really made this a 5 - they work hard and really take pride in their work.

Exquisite. Staff is professional, helpful and friendly.
- Rooms are perfect in every aspect
- Fully equipped with anything families with toddlers might need
- Both in-house and outside the playgrounds are excellent
- The playground nearby has bunnies and goats, visitable all year round for free
- Many mountain activities winter and summer, for children as well, like tobbogan ride in the next village
- cocktails are spot on, I recommend their specialties

Only minor possible downside:
Food looks like fine dining, but at best is average, flavors sometimes don't really match even, or a souce is there to add colors, but goes bad with the dish. Still better than most 4* hotels' menu.

We have chosen this hotel mainly for kids activities which we love very much. Thank you for great ladies in kids play room. Stuff is very friendly and kind. What we would recommend is to serve dinner for families earlier so we would not have to wait for each courses that long but overall great experience!

We love it there. Das Edelweiss is a paradise for soul and body. Absolutely stunning place for cuples or families. We go there several times a year to recharge our batteries.
All the staff are professional and kind. The food is really great and delicious. The spa area is absolutely amazing.

We stayed in the Edelweiss top suite, which was expensive, but we were celebrating the completion of my PhD, so we splurged. Having our own pool was amazing. We are still more COVID conscious than most, so we stayed in our room, spent most of the time in our private swimming pool, and had room service delivered.

Service was excellent (as you would expect if paying for the top suite at that price). Food was delicious. Gorgeous views and beautiful surroundings.

Massage at the spa was wonderful - the therapist used just the right amount of pressure and kept checking in to make sure everything felt good.

Very clean, beautiful. Sadly we are leaving Europe, but if we ever come back we would definitely go there again (just maybe once every ten years due to the cost - not the kind of suite you can afford every year!)

This is the top hotel for families! Every time we come to Edelweiss, we enjoy the whole experience and all the kids love it! The staff is friendly and professional, the overall service and equipment of the hotel is truly great. Food is excellent! Thought the hotel is quite large, you never get the crowded feeling or noise problem. Having water slides, pools and indoor playroom throughout the year for the kids to enjoy is every parents dream! You can enjoy moments on your own and be sure, the staff in the playroom takes care of your kids amazingly.....and I could go on and on. You just have to come and see for yourself I guess:)

This has to be one our best stays in Europe. Service was unreal. Food was always perfect and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We’re definitely coming back for another stay here

This hotel is just amazing, from the great rooms to the staff service. There are lots of kid-friendly areas around the hotel such as a waterpark and a play area, and there are also adult only areas such as a spa and pool. Around the hotel there are also many other areas to relax such as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The food is also very good, the breakfast buffet has lots of different options and the different menu every night for dinner is also very good. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area in or around Grossarl.

This place is amazing. They have thought of everything. We don’t have children ourselves but went with another couple with two kids. It was great for them to be able to go to play areas with child care so the parents could have some free time. The water park and family spa were also perfect with kids. The adult only areas are also magical. The meals were fabulous. The bar set ups are great. An absolute must.

It was an amazing experience with very tasty and healthy food, so refreshing..infinity pool with heavy snow outside during our visit was a memorable experience..I highly recommend..5/5 points for this place..

Stunning getaway. The hotel is family run and it shows in all the little details. The interior design is very future forward and exudes, comfort and elegance. There are several infinity pools, hot tubs and spa rooms and an incredible slide and tube system for children. They have an incredible sushi bar and the main chef has worked all over the world. The breakfast buffet has everything anyone could ask for, even its own juice room. The food in general was delicious.
My partner and I are avid skiers so the fact that it's basically ski in- ski out was a huge attraction. Ski destinations have always been a huge part of our traveling. Austria is essentially the birthplace of skiing so we've always wanted to ski there and experience Austrian culture, Das Edelweiss is a local gem and did not disappoint. Their steakhouse was also an incredible evening of dining.
The staff was very accommodating and so very polite and most everybody spoke English fluently. We really really felt like part of the family. Although it's mostly modern, there are touches of tradition. They even have their own chapel, which I thought was quite beautiful .
Getting there was really easy, the train systems are pretty flawless in Europe. Highly recommended!
