Nesslerhof - the natureness hotel

The many small details blend into an all-round perfect holiday experience.

You enter the hotel and even in the lift(!) you immediately feel a pleasant sense of deceleration. The entire design concept with a lot of space and yet enough possibilities for retreat in the lobby, bar and restaurant is thoroughly successful.

The menu in combination with the salad buffet is of a high standard and with the 3/4 board you are well catered for. The wine selection focuses strongly on Austria, but after some initial scepticism, I was very positively surprised and convinced. Even the red wines here were very soft, round and full-bodied.

The spa and garden area is unbeatable, really. Relaxation doesn't get any better than this. Despite day spa passes, the spa area with its many different saunas is pleasantly quiet, spacious and offers plenty of opportunities for retreat. Architecturally, the entire area is a masterpiece and worth a visit for that reason alone.

We stayed in the main building and accordingly in the "older" rooms. Since I personally don't put too much emphasis on the design of the rooms here, it was perfectly fine. Good mattresses, plenty of space and an ideally equipped bathroom.
A big (!) drawback was the construction site of the gondola valley station in front of the room and balcony. 6.50 a.m. until at least 7 p.m. with really considerable noise disturbance as well as a free view of the construction site employees into the room, because there was no stave or similar privacy protection possibilities without completely darkening the room.
I still give the full 5* because the hotel made a lot of effort to find an alternative solution for us. I can only strongly recommend not to book a room facing the construction site, it's a night and day difference.

The location of the hotel is perfect and therefore a good starting point for many wonderful hikes in the Almen Land Großarltal. Then into the large in-house swimming pond and off to the sauna. A holiday day couldn't look more perfect.

A small personal note: the hotel has managed to install a wonderful, subtle scent everywhere. Slightly of wood and just wonderfully relaxing. We stayed there for 5 nights and are more relaxed than we have been in a long time.

Just got back from an incredible holiday staying at Nesslerhof. The location is perfect across the road from a gondola up the mountain. The skiing is also great as although the snow isn't good this year Grossarl has great infrastructure and artificial snow provision. Nesslerhof however is quite simply fantastic. The pool and spa are amazing, the rooms spacious and comfortable. But what really sets it apart are the staff and the food. The service and attention to detail is second to none. It is a family business and it really shows, they really care and you will never feel more welcome. Then we come to the food. The quality of the food is almost unbelievable, it is like eating in a fine dining restaurant every single night. So many memorable dinners and courses, truly exceptional. We have already booked to go back next year and I honestly cannot wait!!

The best hotel in the world. Location is close to ski cable car also children can ski near the hotel. You can rent ski next door to the hotel. Facilities are wonderful, they offer adults-only area with saunas and steam bath and common area for parents with children. Don't miss half-board because they have delicious food! Every day they offer starters, soups, 4 different main dishes, assortment of salads, cheeses and ice-cream. They also offer lunch with soups and salads. You will never be hungry at the hotel. Gym is also good and they have different trainings like yoga or cross training with coach. There are also kids rooms, games like table football and billiard. It's exceeded all expectations. 100% recommended!

Everything was perfect! The room was large, comfortable and clear. The staff: very-very nice. Food was excellent. The Wellness area is great too. We really enjoyed our time here.

The Hotel is very good. The Rooms are very modern designed and you have enough space. The Location is wonderfull. I stayed at Nesslerhof and went skiing and snowboarding. Nesslerhof has also a very big Wellnes and Spa area with 3 different pools and lots of saunas. The Personal also called as "Gästeflüsterer" are very nice.

Great Hotel, very nice food, very friendly staff, right next to the ski lift. Spacious rooms and large wellness area - will definitely come again!

This is wonderful place and fantastic facilities. One of the best that we have been with our 7 month old daughter. Very much recommend to everybody book suite!!!

Jetzt das 2. mal hier und immer wieder begeistert :-) hier stimmt einfach alles.
Die Gondel ist direkt gegenüber, man läuft nur ein paar Meter vom Ski Keller aus. Das Essen ist sehr abwechslungsreich und der Spa Bereich lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Es ist nicht laut und überfüllt, man kann hier in Ruhe entspannen !

Unglaublich tolles Hotel, vor allem das leckere Abendessen, das Frühstücksbuffet und der Wellnessbereich sind eine Reise wert. Beeindruckt waren wir von der Archtitektur und der tollen Dekoration. Persönliche Betreuung durch die Inhaberfamilie inklusive. Klare Weiterempfehlung

Habe mit den Kids unseren Skiurlaub in diesem Hotel verbracht. Top Lage, beste Ausstattung, sehr schöne Suiten, toller Wellnessbereich, sehr gute Verköstigung. Vom hauseigenen Skiraum zur Gondel geht man quasi nur über die Straße. Die Liftkarten bekommt man direkt bei der Rezeption. Wenn man Ski ausborgen möchte, liegt direkt vis a vis vom Hotel ein Sportgeschäft. Sehr gut ausgestattetes Fitnessstudio. Perfekter Urlaub.

Ich hatte das Privileg im Nesslerhof einen 3 Tage Leica Fotokurs zu belegen und bin immernoch total begeistert von diesem Erlebnis. Der Kurs war hervorragend organisiert, sehr lehrreich und hat eine schöne Abwechslung geboten zwischen dem technischen Know-How über die Kameras und dem den Hands-on Ausprobieren während den Wanderungen in den Bergen. An dieser Stelle nocheinmal ein großen Dankeschön an Christine Höflehner und Fabian und Johannes Von Leica. Ein Wohenende das wirklich in Erinnerung bleibt - und das nicht nur wegen den eindrucksvollen Bildern die wir geschossen haben.
Das Hotel an sich erfüllt alle nur denkbaren Wünsche. Die Zimmer sind groß und stilvoll eingerichtet und penibel sauber. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und punktet mit einer hervorragenden Käseauswahl. Und auch das mehrgängige Abendessen war abwechslungsreich und hat uns immer sehr gut geschmeckt.
Der Spa Bereich ist sehr ausgiebig und offen gestaltet und bietet trotzdem viele schöne Ecken zum ausruhen und entspannen. Besonders die beheizten Wasserbetten haben es mir angetan!

Mein Highlight des ganzen Aufenthaltes war jedoch die Hotelchefin Tina, welche auch den Kurs belegt hat und einem von Sekunde 1 das Gefühl von Heimat vermittelt hat. Man fühlt sich sofort Willkommen und in die Nesslerhof Familie aufgenommen. Sie ist sehr bodenständig, herzlich und lustig und zudem ständig bemüht, dass auch alle zufrieden sind und es allen gut geht. Sie definiert den Begriff " die gute Seele des Hotels" wirklich neu und setzt eine hohe Messlatte für andere Unterkünfte. Ihre Liebe zum Detail ; die fortlaufende Ambition für neue Aktivitäten sowie den innovativen Um/Anbau des Hotels und ihr intrinsiches Interesse jedem Gast ein rundum perfektes Erlebnis zu bieten haben mich schwer beeindruckt. Genau Menschen wie sie machen für mich den Unterschied ob ich ein Hotel wieder besuche. Tolle Spa Hotels gibt es ja in Österreich nicht zu knapp - aber dieser Wohlfühlfaktor den Tina und das gesamte Team vermitteln hebt das Hotel ab vom Rest.
Und auch ihr Mann kam jeden Abend zu uns an den Tisch und hat sich nach unserem Wohl erkundigt. Das hat uns sehr gefallen und vermittelt das Gefühl von Wertschätzung und Interesse uns Gästen gegenüber.

Alles in allem eine klare Hotelempfehlung und ein Muss für alle die ein paar Tage vom stressigen Alltag fliehen möchten.
