Valamar Obertauern Hotel

We had an amazing stay. The service was just incredible, all the staff was so lovely. The wellness center within the hotel was great with different amenities . The food was tasty with a buffet for breakfast and for dinner a buffet for the salads and desserts and a menu a la carte for the soup and main course. (Twice a week all is on the buffet for dinner).
We loved the little buffet for afternoon tea (from 3 to 5 pm)!
The ski station Obertauern is a perfect fit for beginners as well as good skiers with a variety of slopes and loads of blue ones.

My stay at Hotel Obertauern in Austria was outstanding, thanks to the exceptional service and prime location. Denis at the bar was wonderfully helpful, making every evening enjoyable. Christjan ensured dinner was a highlight, with his attentive service complementing the excellent buffet and set menu options. The hotel's central location made getting to the slopes each morning a breeze. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel from Valamar Group, with a good skiing situation.
Service is perfect (restaurant, lobby bar…), thank you to all the staff !
We also enjoyed a lot the after-ski snack served every day at the lobby bar.
There you can found a good cocktails sélection, very well realized by the bartenders, and especially two excellent signature cocktails : DoubleO G&T and Honey Basil smash.
I enjoyed there my apéro before dinner (enjoying also the Happy Hour moment 😉).
The hotel has also a nice swimming pool and spa that is perfect after a ski day.

Great hotel, really helpful and friendly staff (especially Edvin in restaurant and Nikola for ski stuff). Everybody cares and you can really see it. Had a fantastic ski break and would definitely visit again!

We had great time during our stay. The hotel is very clean and stuff is very polite and helpful. Pool and wellness was great. They have Maro club for children. Food was delicious. We will definitely come back.

Very on top hotel with a good service especially from our favorite server Edwin. Kid friendly hotel with a kid friendly ski resort right next to the hotel. Amazing experience❤👍

Best service by far. Everything in the hotel is at the highest possible level. The staff is ultra friendly, professional and helpfull from the maids, restaurant, reception, bar and wellness. The food and drink offer is superb. The massages are great. Denis makes such great cocktails, better than the most cocktail bars.
Hotel is just 50m walk from the ski slopes with beautifull view on the part of Ober and the mountains. Everything is just just great. I can't wait to come back, because the experience is fantastic.

We regularly come to Valamar in Obertauern for family vacations. They have amazing location in Obertauern ski village. The best team in the hotel we’ve seen.

I enjoyed couple days with friends and couple days alone in Valamar Obertauern hotel. There are plenty of services availible here , all on the top level: Wellness with pool area indoor and outdoor, massages, fitness, nice bar..amazing food. I enjoyed after ski and doesn not want to leave hotel

I highly recommend the hotel, they are easy to communicate with, helpful and kind staff. Especially the receptionist, called Matteo. You can get ski pass and rent the ski stuff through the hotel with a voucher. Spa and swimming pool are well-equipped. Good, various breakfast and dinner. We can’t wait to visit next year too.

Lovely February half term week.
Excellent food each night.
I enjoyed the daily weather reports and news delivered at breakfast.
Breakfast buffet was sumptuous and plentiful.
Room (single 212) was very small though but perfectly functional.

Wellness area was large, varied and never crowded.
An excellent stay!

Had a family holiday over Christmas week: really well looked after and the staff were superb, made the children feel really special for Christmas and a very family run feel to the place: the staff really care. First time skiing for all of us and the hotel arranged everything to our needs through the equally helpful Freu Den Haus with ski hire and an instructor. Half board breakfast and dinner were a huge spread even though they had only just re-opened, and special suppers included a fondue and a delicious gala dinner on Christmas eve, which the hotel staff made a lovely event. Kids club is well resourced and imaginatively run, much more than just convenient child care. We had a spacious family apartment that was ideal for a week's stay as a family of 5 and being in such a great hotel meant that the holiday was much more than just skiing: a fab break after a long year. We needed RAT tests prior to departure which again were effortlessly arranged with the local doctors surgery without having to take time out from our holiday. Definitely going back.

Stayed for one week Feb '19; it was GR8! Very comfortable, lovely food and staff. The service was excellent. The hotel is recently refurbished and has a good central location; the lifts are easy to access.
Excellent wellness & sauna area to enjoy.
A true 4* hotel.
We all really enjoyed a snow shoe walk with other guests that a hotel manager Leela Logan led.
Obertauern is a lovely ski resort with a fantastic snow record. It works well for mixed ability groups.
Grosseck Speiereck is a nearby ski area which is easy to access on the free ski bus with a 20 min journey. That area is more low key than Obertauern with some lovely views, ski runs and mountain restaurants. It is well worth a visit.

Nice staff, nice spa, good location

We came here for 5 days to ski, the room is nice, small but has everything you need, the staff is friendly and has good service, good food and the coffee bar was good, i have no more words, everything was very good.
